You do realise the phone comes stock with both a pattern unlock and pin security unlock screen as an option ?

I do and i am using it.
The standard android screen lock is missing the ability to delay the lock (like in the HTC devices).

Remove lock screen, and only use Pattern?

Hello
I was wondering if it's possible to remove the unlock screen, and only use the pattern lock? It's a bit stupid first to unlock, then apply pattern...
I totally agreed that, does anyone know how to disable the screen lock??
Thanks!
Bump!
i would like to disable the HTC lock screen and only use pattern unlock.
I assume you're using HTC Sense? I think this only happens on Sense ROMs.
I don't see this in other non-Sense ROMs.

How do put a lock on "slide" lockscreen?

Hi I love the new "slide" lock screen. I love sliding the round "thingy" to unlock the screen or to get to the camera. I used to use the locker widget on my sgs2 but I want to stick to stock android as much as possible and getting rid of all those "addons" is a joy ;-) now the only thing that bothers me is that I can't lock my lock screen with the "slide" lock screen and put a pin in case I loose my galaxy nexus...(I know that sound cheesy) Can someone give me a hint? I do not want to use an extra plugin for this simple feature to work...
Cheers,
Silentbob

Yes that's exactly what I would like... is it possible?
Cheers...
If you use an app like WidgetLocker you can set it up so that widget locker is your main lockscreen and you can make it look exactly like the stock lockscreen. Then if you enable pin unlock you can make it request for a pin after you unlock with widgetlocker

I'm confused here. Blur did this on my DX and it drove me crazy because no functionality from the slide lock screen other than vibrate adjustment. Does the OP want to have the slide lock on top so that it's possible to use the slide lock features on ICS? I would imagine with that a pin lock below, those features would still require pin lock entry. Perhaps I'm confused with the work flow that the OP wants.

Yup, this works perfectly.
Its dumb to have to slide to unlock only to get to the code screen.

Thank u for the time you have taken to write this help full comment.
Hi to all and thanks for your feedback. I think there is some need to better explain the reason I would like to use the swipe to unlock feature and at the same time have a pin lock.
I need a quick way to access to my camera app from the lock screen. I take a ton of images this way and I love the feature of the iPhone where you can take images from the lock screen very quickly but u need a pin to enter to the springboard. I hoped that this would be possible with stock android. As I asked in my first post I don't want to install the Lockscreenwidget. It has way to many options and some times it does not work. So now I hope that my intent is better understandable.
Thank you very much

I figured that's what you meant. Yeah, it would be a nice feature if you snap a photo or adjust the volume without entering the homescreen. Alas, to my knowledge, that functionality doesn't exist with a PIN. It's the app market for you my friend, and maybe Seekdroid in case you lose your phone and want to wipe it (assuming you are paranoid about security).
i just realized OP's name... how do you remember it O.O

[Q] How to remove sense slide to unlock and keep pattern or pin?

It is really frustrating to slide and then to enter pattern on my DHD. You are sliding enough in the pattern in my opinion... Is there a way to bypass the need to slide before entering password?

Lock screen shortcuts on lockscreen without swipe lock

There's no option to have shortcuts on the lockscreen if you are using any type of security lock (pattern, PIN, password). Shortcuts appear with the swipe lock, but people snoop on my phone all the time so I'm not planning to unsecure my phone anytime soon. I was wondering if there was any way to put shortcuts on the lockscreen (maybe with a flashable mod or an app), or if it's simply impossible.
Have you tried using smart lock settings? That's what I've been using.

Ah yes I forgot about that. I had been using my face as a trusted face, but I turned it off because it could never detect me in the one place that I always sit in the house! Having had a think, no one ever snoops on my phone at home, so I've set my home address as a trusted location. One problem though: the shortcuts appear but there's no option in the settings to customise them.

Remove password requirements and set to swipe for lockscreen. Change shortcuts. Change back to password or however security settings you want.

Quick reply from lockscreen ( root )

Hey guys, just wanna ask.. Is there any way to reply to messages (SMS and Facebook) without unlocking phone? As you know, it is builtin feature to reply from lockscreen but you can't have any sort of lock (pin, pattern or fingerprint). So can I somehow bypass it? With rooted phone and fingerprint as lock. Thanks for the answers. Nexus 5x, LineageOS 14.1. And I am not looking for any app like FlyChat, Floatify etc, just some tweak. Thanks for any sort of help!

If you could just "bypass the lock" it would not be locked... right! Maybe it would be good to set a location where your lock screen would not be locked, like home.
