This thread was moved to Accessories, as that's what a jig is. As for whether or not this jig will work, it should, they're simple items, but I don't much care for this kind of stuff on Ebay, I bought mine from MobileTechVideos.com
It should work, here is one for a little cheaper if you don't need it right away:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/unbric...msung-t959-i9000-i897-m110s-i8700-i9100-93514

Well my Mrs is getting her upgrade tomorrow (HTC One X), but I'm guessing its going to come locked to ORANGE UK network.. I'm in THREE UK network.. So my Sim card wont work in it... right?
I need to try & get it unlocked to all networks... or I'll just have to sell it.

Yes. Call Tmobile tech support and tell them you need to have it sim unlocked for use overseas. You have to be in good standing. They will ask for the iemi and an email address. Usually takes about 24 to 48 hours for them to find the code for your phone and email it and the directions on how to do it. Have had 2 phones sim unlocked in the last 5 years and it didn't cost me anything except to time it took to call tech support.

Hi, the T989 isn't included on the "supported" phones of that app, I unlocked a SGS2 with it, but it was an International version (GT-i9100)
So to be precise and brief, IT DOESN'T WORK ON T-989 (our phone) but DO WORK ON REGULAR SGS2 but need to be on stock ROM for it to work...After unlocking, you can flash any other ROM and the unlock will be preserved IF the folder that the app creates stays on the phone...
All this info is regarding the app posted on the Play Store link above^^^

[Q] Unlocking ?? Methods, Execution, or Bad Investment ??

Hi Everyone,
I have a i9000 that's been getting pretty tired and a bit more buggy by the day.
I just came across this..
I747 , 16GB , red, like-new for 100$.
Only thing, AT&T is NOT my carrier.
I went ahead and picked it up, assuming that with the Awesome Power of the XDA fourm behind me Unlocking it wouldn't be all that difficult.
A couple of different searches in this forum didn't bring up anything. The one thread I found mentioned getting an unlock code directly from AT&T. Someone please tell me that there is a better method for unlocking this phone.
If there isn't.. Does someone want to buy a phone like the one described above for a $100 + shipping??

There aren't any unlocking programs or app like I've seen in the past, i.e. GalaxyS unlock. I don't think it costs much to just get a code to unlock it. Or is it flasgged in the at&t imei tracking system

Hockey puck, paper weight, an extremely small tablet, backup camera, VOIP phone on WiFi only, etc etc. I think you may can sell it internationally, may even be able to sell it domestically; just make sure you say it's got a bad esn either way.

because its always encouraged to walk on your two feet. and not to mention hundreds of threads are closed everyday because they ask the same thing. people who are spoonfed tend to make the most mistakes, then come crying and blaming the people for their lack of research/reading. and i know this isnt one of those types of threads where something can brick, but its always good to end bad habits early
and if im not mistaken, isnt it one of XDAs suggestions/rules to search before you post? the search bar is there for a reason
as for the OP, its always suggested when buying phones off craigslist, that you meet up with the seller in the store and check the phones status before payment. Or just use ebay so that you have ebays buyer protection for situations like this. Or use swappa, havent used it myself but ive heard good things Either resell it, donate it to a dev, or use it as a paperweight.
but of course, this was all said in another thread.....

A QA Thread is used to answer questions that have not been asked and also hold threads that have already been answered. What's the point of asking something if it's already been answered more than once?
That's like going to a Meeting, someone asks a question and has it answered so everyone can hear. Then you follow up next and ask the exact same question.
Here you go, searched the forums, first 3 results:

agreed, and on page 3 of this same forum was the answer.
So, how's the selling going
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 4
Tmobile Galaxy S4's don't have "bad esns" because they don't even use ESNs. That's for cdma phones. Tmobile uses IMEIs. That's for GSM.
Anyway, good luck selling it, I would value that for about 300 tops if in New condition, if noticeable use, 200. But don't you dare go lower. Lol. If you're trying to sell for more than 300, you are only contributing to the rip off you were wronged on. Most people who know what a bad imei is wouldn't be dumb enough to buy it, so you'd be ripping off an unknowledgeable innocent guy.

If you want to legitimately sell something, use Swappa.com. Any other way is not condoned or endorsed here.
