Hi guys,
I recently installed Oxygen ROM and used the HBOOT image for this specific rom from AlphaRev's websitre, when i S-OFF-ed the phone. However now i want to try other roms like Cyanogen or Redux. The problem i'm facing is that both require to change the partition table size. How exactly can i do that?
Is it enough just to get the Cyanogen specific Hboot from AlphaRev and then flash it? Or there are other steps that need to be done.
Thanks in advance
It's done in the same way as oxygen hboot. Just follow the instructions on alpharev.nl

Thanks TheGhost1233 for the quick response.
I thought that i need to partition the space myself prior to the AlphaRev image installation.
Hi,
I have used Alpharev X on my HTC Wildfire but is it possible to use revolutionary ver Alpharev'ed phonet because I want to try revolutionary and I don't want to brick my phone?
Someone please help me.
But why? There's no difference, with the exception that Revolutionary allows to to flash a Custom Recovery in 1 go after S-OFF, while in AlphaRev X, you had to get it separately.
Yes I can tell you that there is no difference. I have done that because I thought that it will fix alpharev's problems with htc sense roms. But it didn't.
I just wanted to test Revolutionary on an Alpharev'ed HTC Wildfire.

Stock hboot ---> alpharev hboot ---> revert back to stock hboot ---> revolutionary. This makes no difference.
Stock hboot ---> alpharev hboot ---> revolutionary hboot. Here the 2nd process (revolutionary) mostly shouldn't succeed AFAIK. Because the exploit is for the stock hboot 1.01.0001. (corrections welcome)

Thanks for the help!
Hi all,
I've s-off and root my Desire (running official HTC 2.3). Now I have Revolucionary Hboot. My question is, should I change hboot (for example to CM7 or stock 0.93) or can I flash any ROM's that i want (not the ones that need CM7 of course)
Just flash ROM, but be attentive to choose for stock.
Take a look at the description of the ROM in the threads. Many of them will give information as to which HBoots are compatible. The HBoot will set the size of the System, Data and Cache, and not all ROMs will fit into the sizes given by some HBoots.
For example the LeeDroid HD V3.3.3 R5 Port A2SD will only fit on a Stock Bravo Hboot, but the Data++ build will fit on several different HBoots as its system requirements are smaller.
Hello, i have unlocked my phone with htc official tool, and it have installed a 1.03.0003 hboot. Now I want to flash a custom rom. But it is possible to "undo" all and go back to a 0.93 hboot for flashing (example) cm7 based roms?
Thanks
NO...i think....
Apparently it is possible to gain root access, but about changing hboot I'm not so sure if revolutionary team would bother with it. In summary - fail.

in fact, i am now able only to install stock hboot custom roms, like ics beta.. revolutionary tool works only with 1.02 hboot, at the moment.. I have tried goldcard, flash old hboot with fastboot, but nothing.. Hope someone will be able to "delete" this hboot...
i am now on cm7r2 hboot i found many roms cant be installed on ....

Flash the stock hboot from alpharev similar to the way you flashed cm7r2.
There is nothing like best hboot. Its just partitions your phones internal memory.

Do you want to change to Stock ROM?
