Hello,
In my previous version of sprintlovers installed by autoroot script there was a dropdown menu (I don't know what the proper name for this is) that included buttons to toggle 4g, turn on flashlight, activate airplane mode, and a few other functions. Does anyone know where I can find this? It was not included in my latest sprintlovers update.
Thanks!
Try running the swagged out stock rom. Its the stock rom but tweaked alot. I believe it has what ur talking about in the drop down.

I've considered MikG but right now am quite satisfied with Sprint Lovers. Is it not possible to add this functionality with an add-on of some sort (as my previous version of sprint lovers did have it, though it was part of the autoroot package)
Thanks!
You can always use Widgetsoid from the market. It is an app that lets you configure whatever settings you want in the notification dropdown. It works good, but is a pretty steep learning curve to set up. Luckily they have a pretty good help page to get you through the setup.
Go with MikG. It rocks!

I've used Widgetsoid almost as long as I've had my Evo. And there isnt a steep learning curve at all.
1. Choose which system settings you want displayed in the widget group (You can even choose custom apps you've installed from the market)
2. Choose what color/transparency/design you want them to have.
3. Save widget settings to quickly reuse later if you flash a different ROM
4. Hit apply and enjoy your new widget group.
It can't get any easier than that.
He is talking about the notification power widgets, they have not been ported to gingerbread yet.

I know what he is talking about. And yes they have. I've included screenshots of them on my phone. They are difficult to see because I always have the power widget turned off and the background on my notification bar is supposed to be the main focus. But regardless, they are very much able to be put up there in a GB ROM. I can't speak for other ROMs but I use CM7.1 and its a standard option within settings. Just go to Settings > Cyanogenmod Settings > Interface > Notification Power Widget. Don't know how to do it for other ROMs.
They have not yet been ported to GBsense yet is I think what is being said...

Correct. Ca1ne meant gingersense. It's funny because that mod originated with the cm crew...hehe. so of course you have it
But this might be my next project. Gonna see what can be done.

Ah ok. Well I can't argue that point as I haven't used sense since I rooted my phone back during Froyo.

First and foremost, the script used to create this is from jt1134. My complete boredom wanted an updated MIUI build that will stay updated. This is my only android device worth a damn so I am just bored with it. Without his script I wouldn't have been able to do this. So many thanks to him.
Ported from the latest official fascinate rom and will stay updated. The theme in the picture is not default, it is only shown for theme working purposes.

I will look at it. I just installed the wrong theme so I have to hard reset..
Can't seem to get the Control Panel App to apply the settings.
Two more things I noticed, the trash can menu that up when deleting an icon doesn't stretch to the end of the screen, as well as the sound recorder app.

Yeah I was trying to see if I could break it and it seems to be working for me. But I found some other tiny issues if you look at the original post
The lockscreen also is not centered in some themes, making it unable to unlock the screen. I had to reflash once.
Guys if you want to fix off centered Widgets you have to set dpi to 300

This is great news. Good to see one of the best ROMs in my opinion, MIUI, now available for CDMA Tabs. Keep up the good work!

I didn't find a thread dedicated to customizing your lockscreen, tought it might be a good idea to post a quick how-to in case some people didn't know about this yet. I've gotten a lot of help from this community so I wanted to give something back, even if it's something small
So the Widgetlocker app allows you to modify your lockscreen, you can add app shortcuts, widgets, sliders, actions, change the background and a bunch of other stuff.
1. Download the Widgetlocker app.
2. Open the app, get into the "tool mode" (tutorial has a good explanation on the different modes).
3. Long press on the screen and there you can choose to add a custom slider, application shortcut or widget.
4. For custom sliders chose ICS theme to make it look like stock, then long press and click edit. You can add up to 4 different actions/shortcuts/applications.
Here are some screenshots of mine, nothing fancy, just 2 extra sliders with 4 apps each. Added flashlight and sound toggle to the default slider and weather widget below the clock.

When I was looking at reviews of this app on the Market, I noticed some people complaining on battery drain, have you experienced that, or any other negative side effects of using Widgetlocker?

Haven't experienced any battery drain so far. The app was a bit quirky at first but checking the "Root Helper" option in advanced settings and disabling the default lockscreen helps a lot.
Good info for those who don't know about it, gabster21. As an addition, there's eleventy billion (no, really, there's so many that they had to create a new index on Google Docs) WidgetLocker themes in this thread, with support from the dev here. BTW the dev is the always-awesome and responsive [email protected], who is responsible for Nova Launcher, which even in beta whoops the stock launcher's butt, so if you haven't already, be sure to thank hi as well as gabster21 and zHk3R.

I had a look at those earlier but forgot to add that to the first post.. done it now, thanks!
Another cool feature, useful for advanced users (especially those with root): If you go into WL's settings menu and hold the volume-down button for a couple seconds, you get an additional menu of "experimental" settings. But as the title says, they really are experimental, which means they're unsupported and may not work or even break functionality.
When the ICS slider is at the bottom it expands very small, much smaller than the stock bubble (where the selections sit). But when the slider is moved up from the bottom of the grid it expands all the way, giving a longer travel from the center before a toggle is selected. Does anyone know why this is?
EDIT: I would delete this if I could figure out how. The circle expands less because I had a shortcut on the bottom which would get cut off if it expanded more.
Hello droids
I completely forgot how to customize the maingrid of the app.
In my previous setup i had clock, battery % and (eventually) battery status charging (like gabster21 lockscreen)
I need phosphoreus, but how to config again in this way?
Thanks
Ok for now i solved by an experimental function (hold down volume button in settings menu) but i would know still how i did that customization in the maingrid...

I rewrote the entire application and I decided to make the UI a little simplified but I improved the navigation and I think It's great! I removed the scheduling feature and I'm rolling back to version 1.0 but you can still download the older version below.
So What's new in this version
Drag the window from top to bottom to close the app
Animations
Shutdown, Hybrid (most requested feature for Windows 8), Restart, Lock, Logoff, Sleep, and Hibernate buttons
Simplified buttons. They are now on the center. And also, cleaned up the UI.
This should support Windows 7
remember that this is a WPF application. Not a Windows8 metro style application.
Download SystemPowerShortcutsSetup.msi
source (my blog): jaysonragasa.net
older versions.

Great App, far better than my selfmade shortcuts to 'shutdown.exe'
Thanks!
@OP
Can a tile do different things depending on where you touch/click it?
The Power shortcuts is a great idea. However, taking up one tile per function is a waste of screen space. If it were possible to divide the tile into 4 quadrants, and have a function in each quadrant, that would be preferable.
Otherwise, I'd prefer a two-touch design: Activate tile to have a pop-up menu, then select from pop-up.
new version is available. Check first thread

Excellent work on this app which is much needed in Windows 8. I used the older version with the option to close the app in lower left corner since this is more suited to non touch screens. Your link for that version doesn't work though and I had to google to finally locate it.
Any mirror? Dev's site is down. :S

Hi all,
I just wanted to show my first android app I developed. It is a bit similar as notification toggle, but I just developed it to learn java/android.
You can set 3 different settings as notification toggles (wifi, screen rotation, bluetooth), seems unnecessary for cm9/7
You can set any app as a shortcut
always-on-top accessibility service
notification panel folds when shortcut is selected
Please tell me want you think of it, i only tested it on cm10.

I have got a freeze with but perhaps, it's because I have been too fast in pushing the toggles... By cons, it will be good that the launching of applications closes the panel of notification in same time.
Nice app bro. It works well on Team NYX RC5. Tested with Wifi and Bluetooth. If you implement GPS toggle, Flashlight and Sound toggle, it will be a very good app.
Keep up the good work.

Nice work mate! I've been looking for this since I had JKay on a Samsung ROM, but I would never go back to Samsung from CM9
Is there any way to hide the blank notification icon in the status bar? I assume this is inherent to the way the shortcuts are loaded as a notification.
Also, how's it going with the auto-close drawer update?
Great

that's finished already, but need to make some more changes, for making it more memory efficient.
But i thought nobody was really interested
it is not possible to hide it, i might change it to a logo. It is also not possible to make 2g/3g or GPS switch due to android policy (even with root). Only a shortcut is possible to the settings page
For info:
This application works on Jelly Bean for bluetooth (on/off), it works too for Wi-Fi (on/off)!
Think you can add other as standby Toggle for example?
up
updated version:
Notification panel folds after app selection
Accessibility service added for always-on-top
A slightly better layout of the notification shortcuts
the accessibility service should be enabled if you want the notification shortcuts to be always-on-top of the notification panel.

+1 I am surprised nobody including myself has brought that up yet. It would be fantastic!!
I just realized that they are together and it's really annoying....
I am with you, it is driving me crazy. Basically all the original development roms work, I have tried Vanir (even donated, it works great) and the cm rom. I ran Vanir as my daily driver for about three weeks. The only issue I have with these are (and it may be my imagination) is the sound and camera. With stock you get Beats and I swear it sounds better. You also get the stock camera that has ZOE (which I don't fully appreciate yet but never will if I don't play with it). Also no Blinkfeed (oh, well, darn!) Audio Control from Play store is the only app that I found that will compensate, and it works pretty good. I wish I did not have to use a 3rd party app to make this work. I think it works by tricking the phone, sort of. You select custom ringer and select that level. Notifications and ringtone are still the same but it grabs the call and resets the volume before it rings and then lets it go after it's done. Very clumsy way of explaining but I know it works and allows me to use whatever notification sound I want for individual apps. Most of the other apps out there will over ride these settings and use a default selected tone.
I looked at the Audio Control app and a few others. None of them really did what I want. Like you said.... clumsy approach.
I keep thinking one of the ROMs has to have this feature. The CM 10.1 JB variant for my Droid3 has this, so I am not sure why it does not show up more often. If I was talented enough coder ( and brave enough ) I would build a ROM myself.

Yep, me too. I script a little bit but any of the code that I've fooled with is copy, paste, cross fingers. Like I said above though, Vanir and the CM roms have this feature, but you do have to go into the sound settings and uncheck the box that says link them together. I think all the ASOP based roms are like this. I'm giving Ecliptic (Sense based) a spin right now. If you hold down the home key on this one you get the expanded menu with quick settings, and you can independently manipulate them there, but it does nothing. I hope that at some point this will be picked up and fixed. I've posted a few requests for this feature in the various threads but only one developer came back with a reply and it was basically that he didn't know how. I just don't think there is enough people that notice this and are bothered by it for a developer to look into it. Same thing happened when I needed a kernel with driver support for the Galaxy Tab plus. I was trying to crack WEP for pen testing with the tablet and could not put the nic in promiscuous mode. I finally made my own kernel but only with limited success. Just don't have the talent.
"Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink" module for xposed works though it does not show them unlinked in settings. I have an old Sound Manager app and sure enough, it worked. I can now schedule quiet times for the notification and reduced volume for the ringer and night. WooHoo! Working on Stock Vzw M7_1.10.605.10.
