Beats Dr Dre headphones support? - Galaxy S II Accessories

Does anyone know if SGSii supports Beats Dr Dre headphones? I never had a Dr Dre headphone(you know they're very expensive) and really curious if they're supported on this phone and how is the sound quality? Thanks in advance.

they work great but you have to sticky tape the iphone controltalk button pressed tightly to get the full signal through, otherwise is not proper sound unless you are holding play/pause. mine have been taped for ages and works fine.

Didn't really understand. But does Dr Dre headphones have default iPhone buttons?

Dre beats

HTC phones have Dre beats integration in their phones. Is there a Port to get that on epic 4g touch
Epic
Nope, since the Beats speakers are built into the Rezound.

Is it really that much better? no matter what they do to it, it is still just a phone with a MP3 player built into it. Tiny speakers with sound software to help amplify lousy MP3 songs can't make things that much better?
Download volume+ from the market and set it to beats emulation. Sounds pretty good.
Sent from my Epic device.
Also fyi You can get the volume + paid version for free from the developers website.

Power amp from the market is the best I found so far. Tried MANY. Comparable to voodoo sound for sure. But I agree, the headphones make a HUGE difference in quality.

I came from the evo 3d which had beats ported over to it. Beats is a simple 7 band eq setting pretty much. You can find the settings if you google it. On HTC beats is only available on the stock music app, it doesnt effect pandora or any other music app. If you adjust you eq you will get a very similar effect because our phones have a 7 band eq in the music app.
I just wish it was compatible with our phones so I can talk with em instead of using two different headphones lol

I use motorola bluetooth headset, s9's or something. They are great. I run with them, if I get a call while im running, I can answer with them, talk with them, text with them, and the sound is good on them.

I concur with your Power Amp app statement. Best music player/sound quality i have heard on anything thus far. Not only is it nice on the eyes but you xan boost the volume twice as high as ET4G's can or almost any other music player app. Its worth paying the extra couple bucks dor the full version to support the developer's hard work!

I wish people would realize that this is the same company that created the sham Monster Cable product. They make things that look like they are awesome but they really suck in comparison with similarly priced products. Im surprised Apple hasn't bought them yet.
Just another case of a celeb using their name to promote a ****ty product. Case in point, any commercial on television at this point.
I have some Bose earbuds that I use with Pandora on this device and am using Volume + . It lets me do what I need for them to sound significantly better than stock sounded.

Klipsch's s4 earbuds are amazing (or s4a if you want Android tie ins and s4i for the fruit phone).
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
I also have a pair of Klipsch ear buds, and I like them, but you should check out V_MODA's line of headphones and ear buds. They are good enough to make you say "Beats? Who needs Beats?" I've used them on my iPod classic, my EVO, and now on my Epic 4G Touch, and they are still awesome, especially when used in conjunction with the PowerAmp player.
if they integrate my google music account id use power amp again too. But I just use it in my car the most anyway so the eq isn't that much of a necessity for me as streaming all my ****... is. Ics music client for me

Samsung Headphones supplied with N7000

So... I got my note yesterday.. Updated to 4.0.3 rooted it etc...
Just listening to some music on the walk to work... I must say the supplied white hands free headphones are surprisingly good, any one else agree?

I use pretty high end etymotic and klipsch in-ear-monitors, and once you try those, you can't go back to cheap earphones. Everyone's different though.
Ive always liked Samsung stock headphones. I like the way they fit in my ear, I know they are not as good as some expensive ones but combined with voodoo sound and a nice equalizer they're pretty impressive.
That being said, I use my beats headphones all the time now, They where free with my HTC.
The Stock one is good. But I also have the free sennheiser px100ii with galaxy note.Feels like heaven while listening music with it .

Awesome. I did have a cheap pair of beats knock offs.. They weren't bad either.

It's good but there are better one's out there. Well the stock earphones are good enough for me.
It's pretty nice.
Though I can't hear the sound around me.
And that's a problem.

Ah see, I preferred the not hearing sound around me as in the area I'm from it's full of idiots and small cars with loud exhaust pipes. Tends to get annoying when spending nearly an hour walking to work.

Does any one know of superior sounding ear buds that also include a Note compatible volume control and button? Most of the higher end models are designed for IOS devices and the controls don't work with the Note.

i also think the stock earphones are pretty good. but for extreme music lovers i think there are much better alternatives
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
To be honest i've found the stock headphones fine until I flashed a new ROM with Beats Audio installed. Just can handle the bass now.
They are not bad for the price which is free. I also have a pair of klipsch android version which for the price are amazing, I also have a pair of beats tour which are ok a bit to much base but sounds good with awesome beats equalizer. Now my go to head set is the Bowers & Wilkins p5's they are simply amazing.
The stock Note headphones are on the cheap side and that shows on the audio quality. I use some old in-ear dual drive Panasonic headphones and the difference is huge. The next step for me is the Martin Logan Mikros 70.
not sure...till now its still in the box.
i think their the normal ones samsung supplies cos i got similar ones with my gs2 also
They are o.k for a standard set. - But the quality of the earphones are not as good as in the past. Still have a couple of earphones from my samsung omnia, and they go much louder than these delivered with the note.
But if you want to use them for high end music they are quite rubbish I think
After some good usage out of them I've realised they're not as great as I originally made out... Still good for free and will be ample until I can get a decent set.

Just grabbed a pair of Sony xba1 for $60. They sound great for the price and super small too.
Soundmagic E10.... currently using. It is far far better than even stock iphone ear phones.. Outstanding soundstage... It will cost you for around $30 - $35.. You can also google for its detailed review...
For a review you can check this link. http://anythingbutipod.com/2011/08/soundmagic-e10-review/
Phones ware OK for me, but when i get Seenheiser HD518, i reborn.
Some of the htc beats can be found online for a pretty good deal they sound great havent got my s3 yet to see if the music controls work yet tho. Im surprised you say the iphone ones work good those are terrible worst headphones ever always blowing out with cheap sound quality.

AKG K451
I am now using AKG K450 and the only difference between K451 and K450 is that K451 has a mic. That's all
AKG is amazing sound and it does very well on pop and something like that
It's worth it

Recommend me Non-In Ear headset

I'm looking to replace the stock headset that comes with the galaxy s2 because it is In Ear which is not comfortable for me so I am looking for regular earbuds something similar to these
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-MX...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317707600&sr=1-1
But with a microphone/volumecontrol/
Price range $20-$50
I'm actually using Bose MIE2i it has volume controls and a mic. and it doesnt go all the way in your ears, it's supported through the earlobe.
http://www.bose.com/controller?url=.../audio_headphones/in_ear_headphones/index.jsp
It's a little bit expensive tho (roughly 2.3x of your budget)

Ditto!! I tried using the standard earphones that come with the galaxy note and couldn't stick them as far too uncomfortable for me. I just use my over-ear clip type for listening to podcasts (without microphone capability obviously).

Sound

Has anyone else noticed the sound through headset or bluetooth is very quiet. Anyway to boost it?
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
BT sound is quite ok for me, Speaker sound could be a bit louder, yes. Perhaps the soundboost-mod for Xperia Z could work on the Z1C too? As it also runs on a qualcomm-chip, the chances are pretty good.

Yes, I'm currently using mine with the Jabra Clipper bluetooth transmitter, but I have to almost max the volume on it and on the phone as well to get my normal volume.
Quite weird.
Headphone output is subjectively good. Significantly better than that of the Tablet Z anyway.
It's able to drive my Beyerdynamic DT150 (250 ohm) headphones at above listening volume without any notable hiss or distortion, though they're of course bass anaemic due to the lack of a proper headphone amp.
I suspect 'normal' impedance headphones will be driven at very good quality.
The loudspeaker is mediocre overall. It's about as good as the i9000 with voodoo sound speaker hacks on, so not terrible, but it's certainly no HTC One
i find the sound quality through my sound magic E10's very good but yes i agree the volume is very low, almost as if its finding them to hard to drive. Ive not tried the supplied headphones yet to compare and see if the quality of phones makes the difference.
The supplied IEMs are actually brilliant compared to what phone manufacturers usually provide, easily £30 worth of sound quality
Is the bluetooth which is the worst of the lot. Really low and flat
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Coming from the lg g2 this is a huge bump in audio volume in every way. BT, loudspeaker, headphones are all exceptionally louder. The HTC one still has it beat for loudspeaker and headphones though.
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I asked sony centre about the sound as well and emailed support. The guys in the shop told me that they do it purposely to sell sent blue tooth stuff.
Support told me that I had to update my device. I told them it's on the latest. So they told me it's the apps fault. Told them to stick there half arsed device and returned it.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The sound effect settings are something that Sony has baked in to Android so it's sort of obvious these settings only work with apps that support them.
For me the default sound isn't as good with my £35 Sennheiser's as my S3 was, however the earbuds that came out of the Z1c box are pretty amazing with punchy bass using Google Play Music.
