Video recording problem after Mango - Windows Phone 7 General

Since Mango I have a problem with my Mozart with the video recording. Most of the times, when I record or when I play them, the videos are not smooth, I only see pictures at every 1-2 seconds. I never had this problem before mango. Anyone has this issue?

Nobody has this problem? Are your video recordings ok?

Buttery smooth here, yes. I never had similar problems, so I'm afraid I won't be much of help. Sorry. :/

Choppy video recording playback question.....MAYBE SOLVED for me

Apparently I get to research this fun issue now. Anyways is there any correlation between choppy video play back and recording in low light situations?
The vids I'm recoding right now are in semi low light but I can still see what I'm recording, but during play back the video seems to pause then continue. Sometimes its very bad sometimes its just every once in awhile.
I have adjusted recording resolution and encoding but there wasnt any change.
Any ideas?

Ok thought i d post back with some findings.
I'm using a pc to actualy watch these vids to better look for issues and isolate at what point the pauses and glitches are introduced. It seems that its having a hard time actually making the video. Not play back, because my pc plays back the crappy video just as crapy as my evo.
I got the video to stop freezing and pitching. I'm not sure what fixed it but I believe it was fixed by running a check risk on my SD card.
I noticed that everytime I connected my Evo to my pc via usb and used removable storage mode my windows 7 would ask if I wanted to scan and fix or not. I was telling it no, but after I did thus scan my videos want back to being pretty clear and not choppy.
Thought I'd share my findings.

HD video recording for longer than a few minutes

Has anyone tried recording in HD for longer than a few minutes? I tried recording fireworks last night, which lasted for over 15 mins. I had no indications there were problems recording until I went to check the video before uploading somewhere. A little over 3 minutes in, the video freaked out, but the audio continued fine. After a couple more minutes the video continued, but it was out of sync with the audio.
Has anyone else seen this?
Kinda bummed about this because the quality wasn't too bad in the first few minutes. Would have been nice to get a good recording.
Same problem here. And it was with recording fireworks, too. Are you using the stock SD card? I have heard that that might be the cause of the problems.
Using a class 4 32gb card. I have a smaller class 6 card I can test with.
I took a video at a concert I went to this weekend. It is a little over 4 minutes long, and I just went through the the whole video and it is fine. I have it set to capture in 720p HD. The quality is beautiful.
i've also done multiple 5+ min recordings in 720p without issues. using the stock recording app of course

When I say I watched it, I meant on my computer. VLC supports 3gp video. I checked it on my phone after that to see if the same thing happened and confirmed it. It's not a problem with the player, the video recording is actually damaged.

YouTube Audio Stutter

Hi guys,
Is anyone experience an intermittent audio stutter on the YouTube app. I was watching some YouTube videos this morning and there was no issue, however just 5 minutes ago I fired up YouTube and on every video I view every 30 seconds to 2 minutes the audio will stop for less then a second then continue.
Really annoying, sound off if you have it guts. It seems be be intermittent.

I've had this problem too but its fine at the moment running the latest LeeDroid rom.
I've had this bug happening to me as well. The problem is exaggerated when using some kind of EQ or DSP app/ widget.
What really annoys me is the loud pop whenever the audio chip is being turned on/ off. This can be heard (especially well with headphones) in every app that plays sound.
had the same problem on stock, very annoying...
Found that reinstalling flash solved it.
Now running charmeleon 5.0, no stutter.
Hope it helps
Have the same problem on stock! Have to reboot in order to get it fixed

Yep. I have it too. Latest Vodafone branded stock. Youtube app stutters and pops like crazy. When I play the same video through the browser it doesn't though.

[Q] Video playback issue, audio and video out of sync

Anybody having issues stuttering issue when playing video? I am having weird video playback issue. Whenever I watch video using my S6 edge I get video stuttering and out of sync with audio. I have to restart the phone in order to fix it and after while same thing happens. Same problem with watching any video whether it is Youtube, web embedded video, or my own recorded video. This is really annoying as I watch videos a lot. I have already tried clearing cache, and fully factory reset the phone too. Help please.

Same issue here, phone replaced once, now recurring. Maddening! Any fixes yet?

video playback issues

Anyone experiencing choppy videos or videos that keep playing audio but freeze up? Happens on my pixel xl and is universal... YouTube, my video playback, Facebook video. Not app specific.
Did you have all apps updated in the store? If not do that. If that doesn't help try a factory reset. Nothing else can be done
Yeah... Will have to try the factory reset I suppose.

Mine does that too. Noticed it during YouTube playback.
I had the same thing happening today on youtube, video would freeze but audio kept playing, only problem is I am on a Note 4 until my Pixel XL gets here. Cant speak to the other issues, curious if a reset solved it for you.
Did a restart and seemed to work itself out... At least when playing my own videos back. If it creeps back I will try the full factory reset.
Not seeing this on my xl

Exactly what happens to me on my new Pixel XL
Yep happens to me on youtube app. Not tried it on my own videos yet though. Hopefully a fix will be released soon for this.
This was driving me crazy this morning. Watching YouTube on Pixel XL and video would freeze while audio kept going. Not happening on Netflix so far. Just YouTube. I emptied the cache and cleared data for YouTube app and force stopped it. Hasn't happened since. I wonder if it's a software problem with Android 7.1?
I've been experiencing this also while watching Netflix. The video will pause for 15-30 secs with the audio continuing. Eventually it synchs back up further up in the scene. Amazon video won't play at all. Do you think this is a case of the apps not yet jiving with Android 7.1? Or possibly some bad phones? Mine is a Pixel XL from Verizon. I'm still within my 14 day to return if a bad unit. Anyone have an idea what could be going on?
I get this with videos on Twitter and FaceBook. Havent seen it with YouTube and I rarely watch Netflix. It is very irritating but can normally be resolved with a restart.
Just contacted support about this. Literally anything video playback has a 3 second stutter and then the audio end up being out of sync. Happens with my recorded videos, snap chat, Instagram, YouTube etc.
Of course after restarting no issues. I wonder what's causing it.

Getting the same thing. Reboot needed to fix it.
No one knows what triggers it?

I also have the same issue, when I take a video then play it, it freezes between 3-9 seconds with the audio still going. At some point the video restarts, and when it gets back to where the video froze, starts again with the audio in sync. See video below.
Edit: a reboot only fixes the issue temporarily, it seems to come back within a couple hours.

So bad
It's absolutely horrendous! Came from a nexus 6p never had this issue. It's happening in, literally, every app with video, sometimes it won't even play audio or video on Facebook, it does it when I'm trying to play Snapchats where I'll hear the audio but the video freezes and then the video playa really fast all at once at the end to catch up with the audio. It does it on YouTube and Netflix and Hulu as well. It even does it when I'm recording video within Snapchat! I'm disappointed that the phone has been performing more poorly than my old nexus 6p. I hope they fix it asap. I do not want to ba e to do a factory reset. I just finally got done painstakingly setting up all my apps again on this
I only have this issue with YouTube... Usually locks up when I do full screen and after it rotates it feeezes but audio continues.
I occasionally will have YouTube freeze but audio continues. Seems to be only YouTube though and I don't think it's the phone because it was happening on my Note 7 as well.
Happened to me a handful of times where video stops playing but audio keeps going in YouTube. Am I the only one that doesn't realize the video stopped until like 30 seconds later? lol
All I have to do is rewind the video a small amount and then it keeps going and doesn't happen again for that video.
