my xperia play suddenly got bricked I think?
what happened was I get FC on some apps due to my brother deleted some system files couldn't do a factory reset the phone via settings
So I decided to try f/w R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic and another R800i_4.0.2.A.0.42_CE. my phone was previously on build .368 btw.
it's bootloader is unlocked of course.
It's the first time this happened to me.all I see now is SE logo then a exclamation mark with traingular logo and a phone below it.
trying to re-flash f/w's again and again. my flashing time would take up to 30mins. why?when flashtool is flashing userdata.sin on every firmware I try. it takes forever. tried without wiping, it boots up to the splashscreen and then shuts off.
EDIT:it still will not start, all I get is 2-4 seconds of it trying to boot, the logotype and a triangle with an exclamation mark next to a pticture of a phone
I tried with a different SIM-card and a different SD-card
when I plug a usb cable it goes automatically to flash mode - with green led then SE logo - exclamation mark - black screen - power off OR sometimes after the SE boot animation. it tried to boot for maybe 2mins. then reboots!
tried the OTA BRICKED FIX AND STILL NO DICE. Im always stuck on boot animation. not boot screen or sometimes it boots up but I get low on space on my notification and FC FC FC everywhere
please I need help
sorry for my bad english

i flashed the new deepshinning 9x about a week ago, and it was fine for a while, but in the last few days i noticed it began to slow down, and this morning i tried to reset it but it won't turn back on, it hangs at the boot logo can anybody please help, i need it for tonite
You mean you are at the boot logo or stuck at the bootloader?
If you are stuck at the boot logo try a hard reset. If that doesn't work try flashing a new rom.
the boot logo, and i couldn't flash anything else cause the phone wouldn't come on, but i did a restore, now i'm finna get this deep shinning completely off, i'm done with deep shining, any ideas on a better rom? i thought about tryin energy
im stuck at the tp2 logo atm, it makes it to tp2 then restarts. im not turning it on and cant keep it turned off.
i cant get into the boot loader (vol down on start) because it closes after about a minute in the loader
i'd love to task29 the whole damn thing but i cant get access to it via usb >.>
what can i do?
Hey all - I have spent about 9 hours at this so far and thinking I may have bricked my Xperia Arc.
Here is an outline of where I am right now:
Phone previously on CM7, rooted & had CWM recovery.
Spotted the Team Xperia ics v2.5 and decided to give it a look.
Phone froze on splash screen - I stayed patient but an hour later, still nothing.
After this, I'm not really sure where I went at this stage!
The situation right now is that I have stock SE LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic+Global flashed to phone.
On boot, the splash image comes up, then a disconcerting white triangle with yellow exclamation point..... uh oh!
The phone continuously reboots through that loop.
Tried accessing bootloader (power on, toggle vol buttons) but the phone just goes straight by to boot loop.
Checked what I can connect to and can use flashboot to connect in both flashboot mode and fastboot mode.
SuperOneClick freezes (Not Responding) on restarting adb sever stage (I've made sure adb.exe has not been running prior to this)
Completely stuck now - any help rewarded through contributions - sure you'd be saving me the cost of a phone....
Thanks for any help!
Tony
You must press the back button to go in fastboot mode. That's the buttons left. If you press it on starting the phone, your led turns blue.
If it works, try to flash the firmware again.
If your phone's bootloader is unlocked then use fastboot to boot a kernel(if you're trying to run.42 then doomlords gb kernel), once that's flashed wipe dalvik cache via cwm and reboot.
Hi,
I've attempted the JB update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737899..
fastboot flash boot boot.img etc.. which said all was well..
But now find that my phone will not boot up, doesn't get past the Google and unlock screen.
I've tried all combinations of volume buttons, I can get to the fasboot menu where I can choose either Recovery Mode, Power Off, Start or Restart bootloader.
None of these appear to do anything, recovery goes to the google a screen followed by an Android on it's back with an exclamation mark over it.. then goes to the Google and unlocked icon screen and stays there...
I fear my phone is bricked... Please help..

1.) Your phone is far from bricked at all. You have access to the boot loader (i.e. the screen with the options). The recovery you're seeing is stock recovery. All you need to do is go into boot loader and fastboot flash recovername (CWM) and you will have your custom recovery back to wipe data and reinstall a rom or restore a nandroid backup
Mine is doing the same thing, weird thing is, it was working since yesterday on jellybean, it just randomly froze this morning and and now won't boot..
im currently at work so i don't have admin rights to do a fastboot flash..
any idea why it would randomly stop working when i havn't flashed anything on it besides the jb rom?
Sorted..
Thanks for the comments.. yeah i was over-reacting a bit there..
I downloaded the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit, got a stock rom form gopogle, flashed it.. back to normal, well, it will be after i restore the CWM backup i took.. phew..
Thanks again
Ian.
Still stuck
I'm also stuck in the same situation(google with the unlock screen). I fear I'm a little more stuck. I also can see the recovery/restartbootloader screen. However, everything I try still comes back to that same google screen and gets hung up. Need some help!
this has happened twice today and i think it from using volume+

Boot into recovery, wipe cache, Reboot
Well, I have a rooted phone. Like an idiot I deleted some files from the Busybox .bin directory because Busybox said it had found more than a version of Busybox. Ok, after I deleted one version or so I thought, Busybox prompt me up with some message like Big Problem. Well, I restarted my phone wich was working fine at the time, but after restart won't start, I only see the pink led and SONY logo for a few seconds and then the SONY logo fades, and it does that like 5 times and then the red led appears and stays like this for a few minutes wile plugged in ofcourse, and then again the pink led and so on with SONY logo fading away not starting up. What to do?
I am downloading the firmware right now. I hope that with Flashtool I can flash it. My phone is plugged in and is booting, well trying to boot continuously, when SONY logo appears after a second disappears and also I can see the pink led. Although I can put the phone in recovery also in flashmode I cannot start it, I hope that I can flash another firmware on it.
Tried flashing, not working. What now?

Do you have zip data in your internal memory? try yo flash it using CMW. or if this way didn't work try to press power button and volume up together until your phone vibrate 3 time.
SOLVED [ Flashing custom ROM with Flash Tool ]
It was very hard to do because my battery was 0% and not charging at all,but I managed to keep the phone in Flash Mode through the flashing process.
Hey guys,
So I've been running on stock EPD1 and everything had been running smoothly. Last night my phone randomly shut down, even though it was at full battery. After trying to restart it, I got stuck in almost a boot loop. It would boot, and during the Samsung animation, it would freeze and restart. This would happen twice until the phone gave up I guess and the phone stays at a black screen with either a constant blue LED, or a blinking whitish-purple LED. I have tried using ODIN to flash back to stock EPD1 and EPF1. Both were successful in ODIN, but didn't solve anything. I can flash TWRP, but flashing any ROMs doesn't help. Wiping Data, System, Cache, and formatting hasn't done anything as well. I also used the Smart Switch and Kies emergency software recovery and initialization features. Again, both said they were successful, but didn't change anything. Sometimes the boot gets to the point where it says "Android is optimizing apps," but once that finishes, it crashes again. Am I 100% screwed? Thanks to anyone that can offer some advice.
Small update: After using the emergency recovery feature in Kies once more, the phone booted to the green "Android is starting..." screen and it counted through 35 apps and said it was starting. It crashed at that point. Not sure if that's progress.
