Thank you man
Recieved today. Pretty quick shipping from Samsung(ordered on 19th). Nice slim design and charges with my Galaxy tab 10.1 charger that i have at work(don't know if that will speed up charging or not) with the spare battery it comes with i think its a good buy for original Samsung product, will give it some test runs with various chargers through out this week.
Curious, is the "stand" portion of the charger permanently fixed at that angle or can it be folded down/removed? I'm asking about portability of the unit. Seems it would be fragile/hard to transport with the stand sticking up at that angle all the time.
Definitely portable, its just a groove that's built in that the phone can sit in vertically or horizontally. The back part that supports the phone while in the groove is the flap that covers the charging battery, it opens and closes, but in my opinion ain't needed to support the phone.
Does it charge the phone too?
No, but the included charging adapter fits the phone.
I ordered mine on the 19th & got it today too, but from Daydeal.com & I only paid $43.00 for it with free shipping & no tax if anyone is interested....
could have saved $3, oh well, Lol.

Thanks for the review fellas.
The $35 in promotional gifts (On top of a full refund for "one day shipping", AND the items that were shipped) was because I placed an order for overnight or ONE day shipping with amazon at around 7am Eastern time. Called to MAKE SURE IT WAS SET AND WOULD BE HERE NEXT DAY, I told them that if it can't I want to immediately cancel. Had them send an e-mail saying will ship and guaranteed to have it next day. NEVER CAME of course, got lost somewhere in kansas (not kidding). So if you NEED NEED NEED something, even with their one day shipping and following up with a phone call to make sure cannot make any guarantees.
Call and complain properly (including telling them your returning a Kindle you just bought as a gift for someone) to the right person(s) and you will get satisfaction.

I have this for my vibrant, and the battery from the E4GT fits and charges. My vibrant batter also fits in my E4GT, but is only 1500mah. This is how I got my phone to start working again after the zedomax kernel fails to charge from 0%.

I was wondering about this as the batteries are not neccessarily the same, there is a little difference in the the adaptor section of the battery when you place it in the phone, but that is a minor issue. So I had gone online with a samsung tech and he assured me that the vibrant spare battery charger would work and charge the Epic 4G Touch battery.
So, for whatever that is worth, this does seem to work.
Just in case anyone is wondering, with a tpu case & steinheil screen protector on the phone - it sits perfectly in the stand vertically and horizontally as well. Anything thicker I am not sure, of course, it fits perfect with the phone naked as well, it seems to latch onto the tiny little lip and when the case is installed the edge of the case sits on it (it sits flush and does not bend tpu). I am very happy with this product overall.
The charger does fit the 1500 mah G9 battery (I think its the one above they are talking about) which also fits the galaxy s2 epic 4g touch phone I am speaking of, albeit a bit TIGHT, you cannot just take off the cover and flip it out via gravity & a snap of your wrist as you can with the stock 1800 mah battery. I works, and surprisingly the life on the 1500 isnt anything terrible, unless your 4g all day and refreshing everything syching everything lol...

I'm using my spare battery from my vibrant in my et4g now
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
My $.02 here. This has been -- for me -- the best accessory I could have purchased. I've had battery issues since Day 1 (won't cry here), and the great thing about this is that whether my battery lasts 8 hours or 18, I don't worry anymore, because if/when it dies, I swap in another battery at 100% charge.
Think about what else that means: you can let your battery run down further (down to 1% or less if you like), because you stop worrying about that 'unexpected surprise usage need' that might come up. You stop worrying about losing battery halfway through the day and asking someone (wherever you happen to be), "hey, is there somewhere around here that I can plug my phone in?"
Sure, an extra battery by itself may be helpful, but for a few dollars more, you gain a huge benefit : the battery doesn't have to be in the phone when its charging.
The corollary to that, (and in case anyone is wondering) is that the phone itself does NOTHING but rest on the stand, in the groove; this is not a dock, it does NOT charge your phone, it only HOLDS your phone (which frankly is a little silly, because you'd only prop your phone if you were leaving the screen on, and you'd likely only leave the screen on if there were a charge or AC source.
But nevertheless, worth its weight in gold. And the charging unit is small enough that you can take it with you - put your spare battery in your pocket, under the protection of the charger, and the spare change or other metal objects in your pockets are not going to boink the battery.
good stuff...

Ouch $50.
found it on ebay oem in box for $40. did a make offer for $30 will see if he accepts

Does anyone know if Amazon includes the spare battey with the charger? Im guessing it does, but need some assurance before making the purchase.
he countered $33 so I took it
if its the OEM "kit" it will include the battery. thats why it costs so much

Hey all!
I was looking for extended batteries for my Samsung Vibrant and I stumbled accross this awesome battery auction.
Now don't get TOO excited. This is just a $6 off of the final price of the battery. The battery itself is NOT out yet (will be VERY VERY soon) so he is just selling a $6 off of the price for $1. I talked with the seller and I got the specs for the battery.
Type: Lithiun-ion Polymer Battery, 3.7V
Size: 10mm thickness (1cm). Original battery is 6mm (0.6cm) thick so this is not TOO much fatter.
Capacity: 2800mah
Retail price (without coupon): $36
PRICE INCLUDES A BLACK BACK DOOR.
It is currently in production in manufacturing and should be out on the market very soon. If you're interested in the $6 coupon off the $36, click here.
Man I cannot wait. This is my only complaint with the vibrant as it stands!

I wonder if the new battery door will make the back flush by eliminating the small hump at the bottom of the phone? I love when Ebay is a source of new products. Who makes the beast?
Not sure on manufacturer yet but should be clear soon enough.
hmm... hard to put money down on an item that you don't even know how it looks like
they really need to post some pics of the item along with how the back sits
You guys just need to install juice defender. I can go 36 hours with moderate use without having to charge.

+1 on Juice Defender
Here's a screenshot of my battery life in the last 36 hours. I still have 9% remaining, so keep in mind that I can get 2+ hours.
what settings are you using to get that?
Man that app is really kinda confusing to figure out. I mean you can by tinkering, but wow.
Dang man, I installed juice defender and it EFFED my phone! It became so laggy that I couldn't really use it at all it took me a full 15 minutes just to get into the app manager to uninstall it...
Not sure what else you may have done to your phone but I have Juice Defender (Ultimate) on my Vibrant and my Wife's Slide and it works great. Since I get a lot of mail, text, and IM's I still can't go a full day but I am getting about double the battery life I had before I started using it.
Dont know if i would be comfortable with a thicker phone... an extra 5MM or so is rather thick. and i wouldnt be able to put it in my nice case that just came in the mail.
I got a car charger and USB cable for my desk at work and i just charge it as i need it. Mostly since im new to android and always playing with the damn thing is the reason i run low.
Another vote for Juice Defender/Ultimate Juice. On the weekends, my phone lasts over 30 hours with moderate use. During the week at work is somewhat of a different story. Running BT, music, and having to deal with poor service inside (phone constantly going in and out of service), I'm still able to get about 12-14 hours.
Overall a great app though.
As far as a thicker battery.....meh. Would definitely have to see the size difference first. And if it still fit in a case.
I think that battery is BS. It wouldnt fit in the phone.
Besides the weight you'll also have trouble finding a case to hold it.
I'm going the route of constructing a back-up battery using 4 AA rechargeable batteries NiMH (4x 1.2V = 5V, with 2800mAh AAs).
Got one of these with leads, on/off switch and cover. You can also get a squarish holder if you don't like the side-by-side layout.
I'll solder it to a mini USB cable, then use a mini to micro converter so that I can also charge mini USB phones. Parts ~$5 in parts.
If you want a fully assembled 4x AA one you can buy it here and here. They also have 1x AA and 2x AA versions, but I don't know how well those work.
Found this 2400mAh battery for the Vibrant here. Price is $59 and the picture doesn't look like the actual product.
I was thinking about gettin a bigger battery but then i found 2x BATTERY+dock CHARGER FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S Vibrant # on ebay for 10$ and i thought i could just throw a spare battery in my pocket just in case my phone run out.
But..Are theses batteries as good and reliable as original one or the ones that phone store sell? Have you guys experienced any battery that sell for that low cost?
How about this one?

For this being only your second post, it sure does look a lot like spam advertisement.
Considering the hellfire conflagration a bad Lipo Battery can cause, I would be nervous about buying cheap knock-offs. If Seido charges $70 for these and someone else charges $4, you gotta wonder what you are getting. I doubt Seido has a $66 markup on their batteries.
it's not something just a deal on a cheap. battery if you want a spare or if like me your charge port is broken and use a few batteries and wall chargers, if you want to spend $9 for the same battery with a back cover go ahead, not Spam just a good deal, show me a better deal for a cheap extended battery. like I said I don't charge the batteries using my phone so these work great, good to charge and leave in the car or plus its always have a normal sized battery in my wallet

TEP covers broken usb ports too. I got a brand new Evo when I took mine in for repair.
I bought my evo used but tried to do the Touchstone mod and messed up sodering or something and now the charging port does not work and the g sensor doesn't work, but I do not miss cord charging I got like 5 batteries and 3 external chargers, that cost me like $30 for all that off cheap ebay sellers, so I always have like 3 batteries always charged and ready to go, don't even miss cord chargers any more

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Seidio had that large of markup considering they sell cases with a holster for $50. Which of course is just two pieces of molded plastic with a bit of psuedofelt and rubber finish. And which in my case, started to fall apart within 6 months after purchase. Frankly I don't think Seidio is the slightest bit better than the cheap eBay sellers, they just make a lot more money based on the perception that the charge more so they should be better.

Exactly alot of companies leverage their name so they can sell the same thing as other suppliers at a higher markup. It's good to know that alot of "manufacturers" don't actually make their own product, they actually contract out alot of their products.
Eh... $4, i'll bite.. We'll see how it works out.
Total for this and an external charger was like $7, so not too much money lost.

I purchased a couple things from them already off of ebay. Shipping was a couple days longer than I expected but they are reputable. My battery I got from them also works great...
Finally got around to testing it...
Charged it with the phone off, unplugged and turned it on.
Charged it until indicated green then unplugged then powered down.
Repeated this process four times until icon indicated 100% power.
So far I'm down to 11% and have been going 42 hours and 50 minutes with my normal use (texting, couple calls, light internet use, light gaming).
All in all for $4, great purchase. I was even more so surprised when the eBay seller contacted me and told me it would not fit with the stock battery door (I already knew that personally). They informed me that I would be getting a battery cover I believe, or a full refund.
I didn't mind either, so I just said whatever works.
EDIT:: Checked my inbox today, and they are sending a back cover it looks like.
"Now the battery cover in stock ,and we have send it to you for first time ,this is the tracking#:removed
Would you pls check it later on www.usps.com"
Fun grammar, so we shall see what this holds in store for me.
Are they still for sale?
I made an offer for the same price as the recently accepted offers and got rejected
When I went back to purchase another, they were $104 and some change.
My thoughts are they realized they did not fit the stock EVO and they needed to revamp their posting and or include a battery door.
Do a search on ebay, I found some by a couple different posters.
I can't post links yet but they are about $10
I charge mine with an exteral wall charger just for the battery, and between my two 3500 batteries in can go two days with each battery, but I usually just swap them every morning

I received my 3500mAh chinese battery yesterday and used it until it died. I charged it over night and unplugged it at 6am this morning. When I first pulled it off the charger it immediately dropped 6%, from 100 to 94. At first I was like WTF but I know the USB/AC Charger is notorious for this so I paid it no mind. It's nearly 3pm here and my battery now has 8% life left. Almost 9 hours battery life... something my 1800mAh chinese battery was already able to do. I know I can't expect much from a $8 battery, but I thought it would put out more juice than my stock one at least.... am i missing something?

Thanks. I didn't think about using the external charger, so hopefully tomorrow's performance will be better than todays. I'm curious though, if the 3500 battery wasn't fully charged, why did it show as 100% before I unplugged it?

A couple of months ago I bought the Seidio car dock and was quite pleased with it. After a couple of months of light usage, the dock has stopped charging my Evo. The phone still registers as car docked and the green light is on the dock but the phone will not charge. I've contacted their customer service department and unfortunately I have received only automated responses. Through my various replies, not once has it felt like a person is trying to help me. I've been given an RMA # to send it in but I have to pay for the shipping. I don't feel this is right since their product failed after I paid decent money for it. I guess I will send it back fro RMA but I'm now extremely discouraged going forward and ordering more accessories. I was really hoping to get the extended battery, but after this failure, I don't know how I feel about doing business with this company any longer.
Most companies don't pay for shipping on an rma.
that's an odd problem, are you sure that it's the car dock? Perhaps the socket isn't supplying enough voltage.
I have the extended battery, and while it's definitely not the 3500 mAh, I extrapolated their battery reporting against the actual battery measurements by an independent testing group and their batteries should rate at 2900-3000, and mine seems to register around there. I haven't tested the Ah of it but it definitely lasts a full day of heavy usage without much sweat.
I can power my Evo through the USB port on the lighter adapter so I don't think it is a plug issue.
If your interested you can buy the Sprint extended battery ( 2600 mah ) rather than the seidio 3500. I have both and there is no real difference in performance for me. Its slightly thinner with two back covers, white and black. Rick
i had a great experience with both of these ebayers:
extra stock battery ($19) from this seller
wall charger ($4.89) from this seller
shipping for each was free, and i received both items within a week, in excellent condition. both the battery & charger work great. i have read many reviews about the seidio extended battery, and i don't think it is worth $50 (plus another $5-8 for a charger)
That's about right for the charger. But if you aren't in a hurry, you can get 3 batteries and a wall charger here for $12.
It just takes 2-3 weeks to get here. I used them (same type) for my DInc and already have a set for my Bolt and they work the same as stock.
i saw lots of multiple battery deals on ebay, but i don't trust cheap knockoffs. i got a cheap generic battery for my nexus one and it lasted about 2/3 as long the stock battery

Stock battery: $19
Cheap battery: $2.75 (ish)
By your 2/3 estimate, you would pay up to $12.67 for a knock off battery, so by buying these cheap knock-offs, you are saving almost $10 for each battery.
perhaps so, but i wanted a battery that would last at least as long as the stock battery. i didn't want my phone to get low during the day, replace it with the knockoff, and wake up late for work the next day because the knockoff died during the night. i value having a single, consistent OEM battery more than getting a group of low capacity batteries at the lowest possible price
if you are better served with multiple cheap knockoff batteries, then by all means get what suits you best. i just wanted to share my ebay experience with anyone looking for a reliable seller of OEM batteries, because there are tons of shysters selling worthless crap online
I had a cheap knock off for my D1 and it died so quick...never again buying a knockoff
Oh, you mean capacity wise? I find mine to be right on par with the stock battery. I thought you meant that they'll die in 9 months rather than a year (which I am fine with).
different strokes for different folks.
i bought generic ones off ebay for my gf's droidx. a week later the phone ran extremely hot on generic's. i'm guessing the chip in the generic batteries didn't work.
i paid full retail for my phone, im not going to try to save a few bucks on something as essential as a battery. $20 for something that will power your phone for another 10 hours EVERYDAY? worth it.

$95+ now... I asked a question to see if it's a typo or not. (I basically asked what makes his $90 more valuable than other ones on eBay...)
I got a charger, but mine came from Hong Kong and took about 20 days to get to me. I wouldn't have cared to pay a couple of extra bucks to get one in 2 days instead, but $90 bucks is a different story!

thanks for the advice/links! i just bought both of these
i noticed that both of these sellers are located in brooklyn, ny... seems like a verrry odd coincidence that both of the sellers you recommended are located in the same borough (the usa is a huge place!). also seemed strange that you linked to the sellers' profiles, instead of the actual items.
so tell us, are you the seller? or are you just friends with the person who runs both of these ebay accounts?
either way, i bought em both. mainly because i live in brooklyn too, so the shipping shouldn't take too long.
thanks again! make sure to leave me good feedback also, any chance i can just come pick up both of the items so i don't need to wait for it to go through usps? you'll save some shipping money that way too!
i also thought it was odd that both sellers were in brooklyn. i am not the seller and have no connection with either seller, i just thought another xda member or two would benefit from my experience with them. i'm glad to see you found some useful items
Just to follow-up here. I bought one of this guy's batteries and am not happy with what I got. I believe it's not an OEM battery but a counterfeit battery (the void sticker is wrong, and other things aren't identical to my OEM battery). Additionally, it's somewhat defective. Once it hits ~30%, it dies and cannot power the phone any longer. I've gone on multiple charge cycles now and it's predictable that my phone will just randomly die somewhere between 30-34% battery left. If I try to turn it back on, it doesn't even attempt. After charging it for ~30-45 seconds, then I'm able to turn it back on and it immediately reports ~30-34% battery but will die if I pull the charger off of it. It's fine between 35%-100% though.
All-in-all, I have pretty much paid $20 for a mostly-useless battery. I've sent the guy a message - we'll see if he fixes the situation. But at this time, I definitely cannot recommend this guy and, in fact, I somewhat dis-recommend him. I see absolutely no reason to go with him over the $9 for 2 batteries + charger people.

They've responded to me and are offering either a replacement or a refund. Of course I have to ship the defective one back on my own dime (that's not right imo - if they ship me a defective product, it should be their dime that fixes the problem).
So they're at least doing most of what they should do in this scenario. Not a "bad" buyer in all regards, but bad in that 1) they sent me a counterfeit product while claiming it's OEM and 2) they won't cover return shipping the defective/counterfeit product that they sent me. I'll never shop with them again but rather than advising others to not shop with them, I'll simply advise them that the one product I bought from them was a counterfeit while it was advertised as OEM, so be informed if you buy from them.
EDIT:
I noticed in their return policy that they say they'll charge a 15% restocking fee for any refunded item. I asked and they will NOT be charging me this fee. So they're doing right in this aspect.

That is a fair price for this type of case/battery
i know, but the price for mophie pack is really expensive.
Ummm....why the hell would anyone buy something like this? Whats the point of having a removable battery?

Why wouldn't you want this. Double your battery life and a case as well. Perfect for trips, just went to NYC from Boston on a bus and this was a lifesaver. 3.5 hour ride each way and full day in the city and had 30% battery left when I got home. Used GPS internet and listened to my Bluetooth headphone each way. If I didn't have this I would have had a dead battery by noon. Love this pack

this is an awesome idea. i with they had it for more phone models
For 60 bucks you can probably get 10 chinese batteries off of ebay. Besides that....it makes the phone huge! Ill keep mt extra battery packs and external charger......now if I was using a crapple with no external battery...then yeah....this would be great!

I actually just got the mophie today. It adds bulk but almost no height, just thickness and the phone is still very light. The best part is I don't need to turn my phone off then replace a battery or carry a pocket full of batteries on a trip

your math doesn't add up. you say you would have had a dead battery by noon.. that would mean you used 2100Mah in, let's assume you uplugged it at 6 am, 6 hours. and then this pack which is only 2300Mah gave you another.. 9-10 hours, plus you had 30% left? your stock battery must be shot.
now, riddle me this: what is the benefit of paying $69 for an extra battery, vs paying 25 dollars for a hyperion 4200 Mah battery, like I did? with an extended battery your phone is smaller than adding the pack, and it is cheaper. plus it is more efficient to use one large battery, than to try to charge one battery from another.
not being a hater... just answer your question. That is why I don't want this: I don't want to pay more for less.

It doubles as a case. Your phone is still exposed, unless you put another case on it, which makes it practically a brick. This does both, but is the size of your extended battery (minus the case).
At any rate, contrary to what you may think, this forum doesn't exist to convince or sell you items. No one really needs to justify themselves to you, and no one is trying to convince you to purchase anything.
Just bought this at best buy yesterday for $59. Had no clue they cost $99 cause they had no sale price or anything on the shelf but after I bought it I looked online and saw it was advertised for $40 off After using it for a day and a half I probably would have paid the $99 if I knew it was this badass. The look and feel of it is just awesome and it makes the phone very comfortable to hold. Yes it doubles the thickness of the phone and ads a little more weight but having the ability to recharge my phone at the flick of a switch is awesome for a heavy user like me. Ive only charged the case one full charge last night and ran my phone down to 4% today then turned the case on and it charged the phone back up to 83% before it was drained but I also used the phone for about an 45 minutes while it was charging back up. All I can say is this is one sick ass case.
Just looked for the juice pack for that price and the best buy app still says $99. Did you buy it open item?

Fired Up From My Uscellular Galaxy S3 and Sent From Planet 4G LTE
I ordered one online about 10 days ago and picked it up at the store. When I bought it the white Mophie was $59 on the web site while the black was $99. The website now shows them both at $99 so it looks like that deal is over.
For what it's worth, I didn't care for the extra length it added under the bottom of the phone or the hard feel of the case, so I returned it. I like the concept but it just didn't work for me. I bought an extra Hyperion standard battery and a dock with a slot to charge an extra battery as well as the phone. I'm running the Hyperion 2200 mah as the main and it lasts all day.
The sale at best buy where I bought mine ended on the 3rd, also I'm in Canada whether that makes a difference or not
