hi guys
doese anybody know that where is the "touch screen position" option ???
it was very good option till ver. 10.57 and able us to change the touchable button , for example " L1 , L2 " to bottom , right ...
but how can to change it on 10.58 ???????????????/
pleaseeeeeeeeeeee
When you select change button position/size it will take you to the game screen. There you physically drag the onscreen buttons where you want and change the size. Then press back and it will say the option has been set or something.

thank you JM , but the issue is on Ver. 10.58
setting ==> input ==> touchscreen ==> here :
till ver 10.57 , ther was button and position here that you can able and change the position for eacj button here.
but from ver 1.58 , just you can check/uncheck to active/disactive the buttons . you can't change any position for theme !
for example when you enable "draw button 2 (( L1 - L2 )) " , it just enable , you aren't able to move the position to top , righ , left ...
can you please help me on this case ?
thanks my friend

I am new to Android and was wondering how to change the 4 icons at the bottom. I figured out how to replace them but I want to keep them there but with cooler icons that I have seen on other handset devices.
I don't want it to interrupt the touchwiz as I like it.
You can't change the Home/Application one at all, but the others you can change in the application view, my handset has gone back to be replaced so I can't check right now, but I believe if you hit the menu button and go into editing mode you can just drag n drop the icons in and out of the tray.

.... is it malfuncioned ?
i'm planning to get one but now u made me concerned
Seems to have been some problem in the ROM on mine, I wouldn't let it put you off - so far I'm the only person to have been affected so I wouldn't worry about it.

Same here, you can only replace the "Phone, Contacts & Messaging". But I don't think there's a problem with that.

glad to hear that man ... thx for ur reply
You can change the 4 buttons below.
1. Get into Menu Mode (not home/torchwiz mode) by pressing the right left of the 4 botton on AMOLED.
2. There is 3 botton below the screen. Press the bottom left button. A menu will appear.
3. Select Edit. All the icons can be edited now.
4. Give any buttons a "LONG PRESS", you can start to move the icons around.
In Touchwiz mode, you can also move the torchwiz icons by just long press and move it around.
I understand how to put new shortcuts down in there, but I want the 4 buttons, just replace the icon so it 'looks' different.
Oh, misunderstood.
So you want to change the 'look' of the icon.
Sorry, that one I do not know.
use Launcher Pro from the market... you will have 14 icons below customized to your liking
Thanks was looking for info on this earlier

Go into applications.
Click the menu button (left 'physical' button), set to grid mode it not already.
When in grid mode, the menu will have an edit option.
Go to that and then you can change the apps on the bottom.
LOL
I was not able neither to understand how it workedto change with the first explanation
Nowe it's clear and i changed them ... very ueful
Thanks

Thank you for info.
Did not mention. After long press menu button (keyboard appears) and then typing a letter transparent panel appears.
Have you got keyboard after long press menu button?
Yeah if i long press menu i get the keyboard, when i press a letter, the search contacts box appears at the top, maybe you can fix this bug by pushing the htccontacts.apk from another rom and replacing the one you have

Hi guys,
Im running the RemPuzzleRom 2.2.1, 0.7.2 and I need some help on changing the keyboard...
I've currently got 2 installed, with one selected in Settings -> Language and Keyboard, but it does not activate and still has the old ****ty one.
Is there a way to bypass this?
Cheers.
Go to any textbox in your phone and longpress it and select input method and than select wich keyboard you want

Long pressing the keyboard just chooses the secondary button :S
He doesn't mean longpress the keyboard, open your text messages, compose new message then long press the actual text box instead of just touching it to open the keyboard, choose input method then choose your new keyboard.

It doesn't seem to do anything, even after 15 seconds of holding it down :S
Scratch that, I didnt have the keyboard enabled (doh)
Thanks heaps fellas

I was actually annoyed that I couldnt tap on the menu button and back button with the s-pen and found that there is a command for back and menu.
Open the help from your apps and choose s-pen and then commands to see it. You basically have to click on the button on the s-pen and while holding it down draw a command which is from right to left diagonally down and then to the right again for back. For menu if I recall its the top of a triangle from bottom left diagonally up then down right...I should have used my note to respond and paste an image in here

I dont think you understood me, but thanks anyway.
My question was, when i'm writing with my s-pen, i always accidentaly touch the back button, or the home or the menu button (physical and sensitive) . IS there any way to lock these buttons???????? like when watching a video and locking with power button, you canot anymore touch the home/back button, is there any way to do that in s-note? or any other apps
When I use the S Pen, the menu and back buttons are automatically disabled.
As a test, just on your home screen, hover the pen so the blue circle appears, then try and press the back and home buttons, they should not work.
Move the pen away, and they work again.
I too would prefer a way to lock the hard menu any back buttons. It is true that they don't work when the pen is in hover range but the moment it is out of hover range there is a high possibility that you hit them and they respond. It is impossible to always stay in that small range.
This feature would be really of great help when using the camera also. I keep accidentally touch the back button when trying to use the camera.

I understood the opposite of what you wanted
Mainly because as other member posted these buttons are locked while using the s pen. . However, if the s pen is not in range then they can still be pressed so you do have a point. . Maybe a customization feature in a rom. . ?? Feature request from the dev of the rom you are using?!
Well if you didn't know the s-pen shortcuts. . Now you do. .

I'm not sure if that's possible but i know there's a post in the" how satisfied are you with your note 2" (or something like that) thread which has instructions on how to enable the on screen keys and disable the capacitative ones.

the problem is for me that my hand touches the back button before the pen is close enough to the screen...
stupid that there is no real setting in S-Note to disable the back + menu completly...
yeah I want that option too

that in writing phone, you have problems with writing.
