I've read from comments on the market it works with a rooted stock rom.

So does this mean we can use the PS3 joystick on the emulation apps and then mirror to a TV with MHL cable?

it just might work with a stock rooted rom. If it does that would be truly epic !!!!

I'm trying to hook it up to n64oid, but it's not working. I'll keep trying in the meantime.
Edit: got it working, super cool.

Tried it with stock rom... roored with crawrj deodexed.. and sixaxis works like a charm!!! love it!!
it's a pitty we can't use it on market games.. it will be cool to play N.O.V.A 2 and other games with sixaxis...

Dammit I'm so jealous. All I have is a wiimote. Anyone know if wiimotes are working yet?

I thought wiimote works?? just try it out mate..

I have tried it with a couple wiimote pairing apps from the market, none of them are working for me. My phone is rooted.

AAAaaak! This is what I've been waiting for!!!!, but darn it :/... I still don't want to root my phone, since there isn't a way to go back to Full Stock if anything gets screwed up, just like with the Epic4G... drat.

why does my n64oid keep crashing?

Does it keep crashing every like 10 min or so? Its a problem with all of our devices (Epic Touch). Something with SoundPool? I'm unsure, its a problem that Samsung needs to fix. Also, its a shame that it crashes because i mainly bought this phone to play games =/.......

Its never crashed for me

It depends on the ROM. Mario games seem to work without crashes, but Zelda crashes for me.

Yep, same exact thing for me. Does Zelda crash when using the controller instead of touch screen? Curious....

so how did that work for you?
Any of these apps in the market support the classic controller? I'm sure they do and im just not doing it right. I have the WiiMoteController app and i've been able to pair up just the WiiMote perfectly. However when i was trying to map the buttons with the CC plugged in, pushing the buttons did nothing. Any ideas? Where am i going wrong?
U need the cc plugged in before pairing it.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
You need to have the classic controller plugged in before u pair up as mentioned above.....let me know if that worked for you ok

Thanks a ton guys. I will give that a try when i get home later and report back.

i purchased the black mini wiimote controller so that i can carry it around with me to use with my phone works awesome.
I use Wii Remote IME, and it works fantastic. No lag, I can connect more than 1 wiimote, and the Classic controller works perfectly.

I don't think so. There is no app for that. It would only work if ur tablet was running windows 7

A www that would be great... thanks
I think it would be awesome if I was able to somehow mate my G2 with my PS3 using bluetooth and use the touch screen as a mouse and the hardware keyboard as ... well a keyboard for the PS3.
I think the app blueputdroid is very useful for what you're trying to do. I tried using it for my plan, but I kept getting force closes, if you try it, post your results good luck

What most people forget to do, you need to go to input settings and set sixaxis to the default keyboard, before you run your emulator, otherwise it can't map to the keyboard input ....
I've tried Sixaxis on a couple of different ROMs, Beastmod and Dewizzed, and both are missing the required BT protocols.

[Q] Wiimote/SIXAXIS Controller on t989

Has anyone had any success with getting a Wiimote or SIXAXIS controller on their t989? I've attempted to get a Wiimote to work to no avail. I haven't been able to test a SIXAXIS since I don't have one. I'm using the Gingersnap rom on my device.
Any thoughts, suggestions or solutions are welcome!
The Wiimote does not work, however I have seen that the Sixaxis controller will work very well

I've got a sixaxis controller working. You need the sixaxis app from the market. I got it to work with whitehawxx stock rooted rom and macnut's revenge. Just follow the steps on the sixaxis' dev's website and it'll work fine.
here is my video on youtube using the ps3 controller with my old white galaxy s2. http://youtu.be/23lXN3hK1nA
u need this app. this will run a test to make sure it will work for your phone, before u buy it. https://market.android.com/details?...kaW9zLnNpeGF4aXNjb21wYXRpYmlsaXR5Y2hlY2tlciJd
then if it says it works then just buy the app for 1.99 in the market. then u need to be rooted in order to even use this app.
hope this helps a little bit for you.
the market is telling me that the SIXAXIS app isnt compatible with my device.
im running darkside Dewizzed 2.5.2

The Wiimote works when using CM7
Well thanks for all your replies. I was able to get the SIXAXIS controller working. For those wondering how to get it connected, first you have to pair the device with a computer by using a tool like sixpair for linux which basically spoofs your Android device's Bluetooth MAC address on your computer's Bluetooth adapter. Once successfully paired with your computer with the spoofed MAC, the controller will easily pair with your phone.

Gameboid is an android gba emulator. Google it.
gameboid forcecloses to the rom selection screen on our device. well at least on gingerbread it does.
VGBA (search play store) works well for me...that said I hardly ever use it, as PlayStation 1 emulator (FPse) and the RPG's of my youth absorb 99% of the time i spend gaming of a cell phone....angry birds, meh, temple run? no thanks... I rock tales of destiny 2 , Final Fantasy 8, Star Ocean second story, etc in my free time...

No it doesn't, works flawlessly on my el29 (when I had it) and on ff18, my wife has the same phone el29 and it works great. I would recommend gameboid, it's the best one I found and tried several the play store and it's still the best. The apk might be hard to find so pm and I'll send you a dropbox link if you want.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yeah, Gameboid is the way to go. And the apk shouldn't be that hard to find. Just google gameboid apk. For roms I would recommend coolrom.com, has a lot of good roms and they're easy to find.
critical strike doesn't work with xbox gamepad.
