Yeah same here. I tried both on my phone and honeycomb tablet and neither work. Probably needs to be deodexed is my guess.

There's a flashable.zip in that link. I'm using the font it looks quite nice.
Also, people have tried to Deodex the apps, but Baksmali isn't working for them. I want the new keyboard me being honest lol. I like how it looks.

I was for CM7 with the HDPI images but my computer overheated and I took that as a sign haha. The dump lacks so many images it isn't even funny.
There is one in Android Development for CM though it's in Alpha.

Overstew made an ICS theme for the E4GT, looked pretty similiar to the real thing, cause it was based on a legit leak picture.
Edit: link, I'm taking a break from themes, but this shouldn't be crazy hard to port.

Yeah, a deodexed version would be better, but there is still alot that can be used from hcfe to fill in the blanks.

Just an update, I switched Rom's from Stock to Syndicate Frozen and picked up the lockscreen there. I do not need this anymore, but you can still update it for those who want it on the stock Rom. Thanks for the efforts.
PS - The Syndicate Frozen Rom with the Twilight Zone Kernel is freakin' amazing. My phone is much faster than I ever thought it would be. ;D

I thought that also and have tried to flash prolly 5 or 6 different ones and cant seem to get it to work. I am still rfs with cwm 2. So i obviously made sure to not use and ext4 version. They say install complete, but no dice.

The eb13 one works just fine. I flashed it out of curiosity and it worked no issues. Been running it for a few days.

Why wouldn't you flash the one made for syndicate.
The problem with flashing something that's not made for particular roms is certain hacks/mods will not function correctly and cause problems. Flashing something designed for eb13 on ec05 is bad also as there has been changes to the .jar and coding so **** ain't lining up right. It may be minor or major but I can gyrante something is gonna break

yes just waiting on lockscreen, over scroll, and crt off mods..... Samsung shiuld leave the framework alone..... It used to be pretty easy to theme for someone that doesnt know much about java or c++.....

You will have to take the stock unthemed framework Res apk from cm9 and decompile, make your XML edits then make sure the compression level is set to 0 and recompile. Then transfer all your themed pngs over

idk if this will help, or if its even what you need, but it was the only apk manager i could get to work when making sonny's theme work on my epic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23935070&postcount=14
its optimised for ics i guess, i kept getting errors while recompiling framework-res.apk and systemui.apk with the one i was using, found this one that someone posted on sonny's thread, and it worked on the first try. good luck!

It's looking like mine will be done in the next week or 2. I finally got my computer to compile the edited apks, so I'm currently testing out different things to get everything the way I want it. I'll post a WIP test theme here in the next few days and I'll be taking suggestions, but all won't make it in the theme. There will also be a few mods you don't usually see in others themes, like longer display timeout options and the like.

It's coming along okay, slowly but surely. I've had to start from scratch about 3 times now, so hopefully this will be the one that makes it to a final stage lol I'm also using a newer tool called Virtuous Ten Studio, so I'm learning how to use everything in it.
EDIT: It's gonna take a little bit longer than I thought, I have everything ready and edited, but the d**n apk wont compile correctly *_* sorry guys and gals.

Hi everyone, I'm new to posting on this forum but I'm not new to viewing these threads haha well anyways I thought it would be nice to be able to use the Samsung keypad from the SGS3 on my E4GT! I personally like how it's integrated with swype! Anyone else that likes that? If this keyboard has already been ported to our phones may someone please give me a link to it? And if not, it would be nice to see that one of our many developers on these forums can start working on a port of the keyboard, thanks!

Not that I know of. Someone that knows how to is gonna have to extract the keyboards from the stock builds of either the Note or the SGS3 and test them on our phones to see if they work! If I knew how, I'd be on top of it! haha

Well sir I was on a 4.x Rom and it did not work. Kept freezing the phone for a few seconds at a time saying the keyboard stopped working. Until I changed it back to another one in settings. Could not access the keyboard options either.

Happens the same thing to me. I.replaced it using es file explorer.! Still would force close,so i had to.change to another keyboard

You two know anything about porting? That looks like the only solution here...I'd suggest uploading the keyboard in hopes that one of our many devs can port it to work on our phones!

Well sir I was on a 4.x Rom and it did not work. Kept freezing the phone for a few seconds at a time saying the keyboard stopped working. Until I changed it back to another one in settings. Could not access the keyboard options either.

Oh heck post the files already! Can't promise anything, but I can compare the code s to known working keyboards and see if they are at least portsble or not..
