Theme chooser

I just would like to know a few things about this app
1. Which roms have it
2. Where I can get more theme for this app
3. Is it better than sense 2.0
4. How to use it

2. Themes and apps; most themers make it an apk to install into theme manager, to make it easy
3. Personally wouldn't know.
4. Don't have to use it.

Correction to the above:
1. It's only in ROMs which have added it... Which as this point just means CyanogenMod and other AOSP ROMs based on it.
2. You can also get themes for it from the Market (search for "cm7 theme").
3. Yes.
4. Launch the app from the app list in the app drawer, select the theme you want from the thumbnails, hit apply, and reboot once it's done. Ta-da!

I'm trying to find an answer to the first question as well. I'm trying to use the search for roms that have it included but no dice. Just a bunch of themes pop up. Im using CM7 just for the theme chooser because I like the 'Sculpted' theme so damn much.

Desire SMS / MMS APK ported to ACE

Hi all,
Just in case anyone is interested, I have ported HTC Desire's MMS apk to my ace running on GR v1.1.
Some features
1. Change app background black or white
2. Change attachment save folder
3. Custom User Agent (Spoof Phone as a different model for MMS, though i have
not used this so far)
4. Customize font size from list available
5. SMS template gestures
Edit 1: does not allow more than 11 contacts (sam's original did not allow more than 10) ... very bad

Standard disclaimer apply and most importantly below process will wipe your data so take a backup. (may be there is another way to put app without wipe but i know only this one sr. members, pls feel free to enlighten me of that process)
requirements
KPN FW (i have GR v1.1 so i think it should work on all KPN)
Rooted, deodexed, Root explorer or file explored and recovery 4.0.0.9
steps
1. take backup on your original mms.apk from system/app via root explorer
2. put attached MLmms.apk to your sd card
3. rename MLmms.apk to mms.apk
4. use root explorer and move renamed mms.apk to system/app (don't forget to mount rw)
5. put permission as r-xrwxr-x (after this you might not see the icon on the menu eg tw launcher in case you use it. but don't be afraid)
6. reboot into recovery and WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
7. reboot normally and you should see the new app.

Which means it's for KPN , right ?

Hmm i'll rather use our themed one. If we need extended functions i'll go for third party apps

Thank you so much. I'm not satisfied with Samsung's Messaging app, and I hate the ones on the Market.
But, uh... Is it just me, or is the link missing/not available?

Have not put in the link delibrately ... just tryin to see if its worth wasting everyone's time (personally i liked the font size and other stuff, but 10 contact limitation is killer)
In case you want the apk, i can share with steps ofcourse

10 contact limitation? What does that mean? Does it mean it can only show 10 people on the conversations list? If so, I'm quite fine with that (I don't have many friends T_T)

EDIT: I have gotten the orange stock home screen and also lots of different stock applications that were in the stock rom by default. The homescreen is the only application that will not install maybe i am doing something wrong or it needs an application that is missing if anyone gets it to work please let me know

no luck so far mate :/

i too got some dell stock apps like u connect etc if u want i can post them here

feel free to post them im sure someone would find them useful especially those who dont flash a custom rom due to using the stock apps

i did not pull the task manager application myself from the stock rom but i will check to see how to install it later during the day because of work mate

Did u change the permissions if not do it and reboot it works I have extracted it and use it daily

it would be best to give him or her the permissions mate to avoid more confusion

Updated modded play store for GB?

I'm running CM7.2 on my Evo 4g (Gingerbread).
I changed my DPI to 200 and ran into the Playstore app incompatibility problem. I've been using a modded Playstore (version 3.5) and would love to update my Playstore app to the latest version.
In my searches, I've found links to updated modded Playstore apps, but they are all listed for JB, not GB.
1. Does anyone know of an updated modded Playstore app available for download that works on GB?
2. How exactly would I install it? (I usually use TitaniumbackupPro or Astro File Manager when installing apps)

Go to goo.im and search for the latest GApps for GB
Extract that file and find the "PlayStore.apk" file
Put that on your sdcard
Navigate to where you put it using some file manager
Tap the icon for the PlayStore.apk file and it should give you an option to install
Install it
Enjoy life

The above answer was NOT what I was looking for (sorry Cnexus).
I am looking for an updated Playstore APK that will work with my DPI settings (running 200 DPI and want to spoof 240 to the Market). I'd like it to keep the original sig, so I can still make purchases thru the Playstore app. Basically, I want to keep my DPI at 200 and yet still have full Playstore functionality.
I have a modded Google Systems Framework (GSF) downloaded from the "LCD Density Modder Pro" app... does anyone know if that GSF would continue to work with the updated Playstore apps?

I looked into this, just in case some dev was kind enough to put up a new GApps with the DPI mods... a search on goo.im shows that the last GApps for gingerbread was in 2011. Not exactly the most recent.
