I am going to be gone from the forums for awhile. My 19 your old daughter was in an accident and is in pretty bad shape. I dont want anyone to think I am ignoring their pm's or blowing off work we have started. Ill be back when things look a little more hopeful but right now its not looking good. Take care and keep up the good work.
Hope she recovers and is healthy and happy again. Amen!

I really appreciate all the thought and prayers from my xda family. I have an update. She has a collapsed lung and 3 broken ribs and a bunch of cuts and bruises. But thank God she is going to be ok, sadly though her boyfriend did not make it. I know sometimes we dont always agree in the forums but when it matters we all pull together and put differences aside. Things like this make you realize what is realy important in life. Once again thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and please keep her boyfriends family in your prayers also.

Man, that's definitely sad to hear. I don't know what I'd do if I lost a love one or had a love one close to death. Be strong and make sure you spend a ton of time with her.

That is truly saddening. My heart goes out to you. I am glad that your daughter is going to be well though. I will pray for her boyfriend's family, as well as peaceful rest for him.

So glad to hear she's going to pull through but also my condolences on her boyfriend. It's odd that a person can at the same time experience such joy and such profound sorrow. Our prayers continue to be with your family and his.

I thought of this. I gave her my old Desire S! She's not experienced HTC Sense before. I'm letting her figure it out.
Now we both sit there in silence playing with new toys, not talking to each other, with a confused frown on both our brows.
Everyone's happy.

I recently had a friend call me in a panic. He tried rooting his phone and installing roms and all but bricked the device. This is the type of guy who does this on the reg. He gets knee deep in a tech project that he has no business in. When he screws everything up, I pick up the pieces.
Well he bought the ATT 777 Galaxy S2, I'm sure you heard of it. Anyways, I can't talk him through it over skype because there is so much he did wrong that I need the phone in my hands to research every issue.
I get the phone, and completely am amazed at how it isn't bricked. It only enters download mode, the USB connector is wonky so you have to hold it a certain way to connect, the battery wont stay charged for more than 10 minutes... I am just angry that it has come to this.
So he leaves and I run through the phone looking for other signs of life. I get it to DL Mode and by the grace of the flying spaghetti monster, figure out how to keep it connected to the wonky USB port. Problem is it requires a two hand operation.
So there is a one-click unroot.root program for the i777. I hold both the phone and cable, then... SMASH THE MOUSE WITH MY HEAD to click the button. I missed twice, so after a headache I finally hit it.
It is now unrooted...
ONE MORE SMASH
rooted...
I install roms with more smashes of my face to mouse.
CWM-- SMASH!
rom- SMASH!
wiper - SMASH!
Everything installs, boots up nicely...
I unhook the volcun death grip and start wondering around the phone. The screen on that phone sucks. The feel of it is cheap and the same apps I have do not run nearly as good.
the t-989 is a way better phone. period.

Just demonstrate your knowledge, be relaxed, be personable, don't come off sounding cocky, don't overuse jargon, keep it calm and cool, and for-whatever-god-you-believe-in's sake, show up at that door exactly fifteen minutes and ten seconds early.
That last bit impresses people the most.

Recently, one of the members if team rejectz has had a minor accident with his E4GT. My team mate, friend, and mentor had his phone ran over while keeping a child safe from on coming traffic. As we all know, this phone is very sleek and can easily slip from your hands or pocket. In this case the phone slipped from his pocket while.scurrying the young child out of harms way. He very well may have saved the child's life. But by the time he turned around his phone had been ran over and crushed by on coming traffic. This could happen to any of us. Sprint has claimed it was user negligence and is charging Lorjay $100.00 for a deductible to obtain a replacement. We are all struggling in this economy and none of us have an extra hundred bucks. Lorjay589 has been an invaluable help to this forum and community. He started team rejectz as well as taught and mentored me and others of our team so we could help make these devices better. In doing so our team has collectively brought 5 of the newest roms, many new png images, mods, lockscreens etc. Currently we have raised approximately 42.00. We are just about half way there. Here is a paypal donation link, also you can donate to him if you enjoy lorjays original work and feel you can contribute with a donation. ALSO, IF anyone has a tester phone that they can part with for our team, please pm any of us from.team rejectz. Thank you for your time and consideration.
I have spoken with these members and this is fine.
Please no trolls and no need to associate this member with any other one you feel did not do the right thing. If you want to donate, donate. If you don't, then just move on. They have taken the necessary steps to do this right with my guidance.
---Jay--- From the Nexus

Thats good at least. Insurance is your best friend. I had a blackberry storm 2 back in the day and on day 2 It dropped into the bathtube I was pissed cause I didnt add insurance at the time of purchase. That phone retailed back in the day for 579.99 and I found another on ebay for 450 bucks. Horrible.
