It is safe!,but it only unlock's certain phone models.I don't think the arc/s is one,check the Flashtools website I could be wrong.

I have been looking into rooting my S3. I'm taking all the precautions..im a noob. I very nervous from bricking. I can't seem to find my build number on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Tool kit ver 7. Here is a screen shot of my phone's info.
