Hi.
I ve flashed this rom , it is still 2.2 can't tell the difference vs jm4 . As i was using roto-hammer rom.
First impression that swype is not expanding in landscape.
Other than it is working fine till now.

I personally like this jpjm4 better than the jmi mainly because it reads arabic and its pretty fast.

Hi msewidan,
Yes, P1000JPJM5 now is deodexed, zipaligned, with Overcom 2.0.1 kernel....[without overclock quadrant : 1980]
standard theme with % battery icon + transparent status bar
extended power menu added, arabic fonts
that's all for now or may be > <
about swype...the displacement between keys affect the swype decision, so any change to the layout will cause useless swype kb..
Awesome I love the transparent status bar. Would the overcome oc kernel work? I like the oc kernel because i actually use it to lower the voltage and extend the battery life.
I thought the file that microsoft uploaded was the the one you had screen shots for, but it looks like its the same thing from samfirmware! are you going to attach a CWM version like you jpj4-galaxer? I am afraid to flash this one because it has these bootloader files that can cause problems. I know that there is a patch to fix it got locked, but since this is a new version, who knows if they changed something that would screw things up.
thx galaxyer for new rom.

I have been using this ROM for about 1 week now and I really like it. In ICS and JB ROMS I have tried on my Galaxy Gio I have found that WiFi is slow to connect and sometimes failed to do so, also I sometimes got reboots and applications failing to start. I didn't know quite what AOSP was until this ROM became available and now I am a big fan. I do miss one or two features from ICS/JB and AOKP but what I lose in features I gain in stability.
I also wanted to mention that in the following thread is a flashable Zip described as a Value Pack. It contains some additional launchers, including: Apex, TouchWiz 5 (?) and LG. Before doing so though, you need to know that (a) this is not supported by the Oxygen ROM developers, (b) after I flashed this I got a message that my SD card was corrupt, but after a reboot this message no longer appeared, (c) there is no guarantee that these launchers will remain compatible as Oxygen ROM continues to be upgraded.

a small note; oxygen isnt AOSP.
launchers are launchers, shouldnt make a difference between oxygen versions

Oh. I thought that after searching the XDA forums I was able to confirm that it is AOSP. This is just one thread which mentions OXygen ROM and states that i's AOSP:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1833218. I know that this ROM is not for the Galaxy Gio S5660 but the description of the ROM's features seems to match what I get on my phone.
I mentioned the extra launchers available so that others who may be using this ROM know that they are available.
Voetbalremco, I don't doubt what you have said. I just want to explain why I thought this was AOSP. I'm happy to be corrected, because then I'll know the full story.
Regardless of *what* it is, though, it's stopped me from switching ROMs every day for more than a week.
Value pack is from my aokp o.o

Frankin96 - Apologies if I put the wrong link in my post. I was trying to credit you but I must have had the wrong link in the copy buffer when I pasted it.
Will Ubuntu for Phones be possible for our gio? MMB is nicely working on FirefoxOS, but I want to try Ubuntu too, its especially made to run with android drivers and kernel. Its excually a modded CM10.1 without dalvik. But the downside is, its requires a additonal flash from 400mb (talking about port to s3), and thats to big for our Gio. Do you think someone will make it possible?
nathan-96
should be possible, but I dont have interest in it currently, because the system is still growing and there aren't many apps for it, and gio doesnt have dual boot.

Ubuntu touch looks really nice. Mozilla os looks not good and it's an (bad?) android copy... good article on cnet where they compare mozilla os, ubuntu touch and Samsung's Tizen.

Hello i would really like to know to if this is possible , any hints or tips would be much appreciated , thanks .
We wait for a port of the launcher firefox os in apk

yes, but also be great to have the ability to install another OS besides our Movable android, do not you think?
firefox OS besides is more optimized for low-end devices and small screen, but everything depends on what developers tell us
I'm not a developer, but Firefox OS is supposed to work on ARMv6, so I think it's possible to port it to Pecan...
It‘s possible but we are weating for first alpha by devrloper of xda
