I have bought a Xperia Play from 02 for £150. It was a bargain but Im on Voadfone. Someone told me that If you unlock the bootloader that the sim lock/network lock is removed as it is unlocked. Please can someone help me?

It's Sim-locked by Telekom Austria (I am from Austria).
I searched over 2 hour at google for some information, but only found some outdated software like Aerix and D-Unlocker... i also found Omnius, a Software where you have to pay over 60$ to unlock my phone. With that amount of money i could buy a new android smartphone.
