Sounds like a hardware problem, have you tried any custom roms to see if they help?

try flashing another ROM...will work....
Did you put any other kernel on your phone. I had the same problem when I put manu kernel. if so go to oxygen forum and download a kernel from there that is compatible

Hi,
A couple of days ago after installing the new oxygen 2.0.1, all was good until I downloaded an app, the install/download would take forever and when the screen went off it won't come back on? The buttons light up when I press the power button and go off if I press again. It's not everytime I download an app and it's a different one every time. I have gone back to using amethyst rc8 but seems the problem has carried over...
When it happens i have to pull the battery. Anyone had similar problems or a solution??
Thanks

Use an RUU to return it back to stock and see if that does anything. If not then you can send it to be repaired
Did you wipe everything before flashing Oxygen?

I wiped everything. I wiped everything again now and re flashed amethyst and it seems OK now?

Hi people,
Go a question about cm7. I really like the rom, and want to use it. I have had it installed with data2ext script. All's going good until I restart the phone. Then all of my user data is wiped. I have to log on to most apps again except for market and my contacts were still there. Even the wallpaper had changed. Anybody got a clue. Is it the d2e script?
Thanx in advance for any replys!

Camera is functional for pics and video but i can't turn flash OFF (whether flash is set to on, auto, or off, it always flashes), nor can I zoom in. Any help would be great. maybe It's already been solved and I'm just not on the newest beta yet? I downloaded yesterday from here:

I guess i'm still in the noob user category so it wouldn't let me post on that thread, but he said let him know if there were any issues, and i searched for a similar thread before posting this and found none related to this version, on my phone:
HARDWARE:
t-mobile G2 / Desire Z
SOFTWARE:
CM Version:
9.0.0-RC0vision-UNOFFICIAL
Android 4.0.4
Kernel 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod
Power down, pull battery, take off back case, remove flash led, reasemble, and you're good.
Sure its just any issue with the rom, all ics roms that have a working camera are patched to work and may not be that perfect. If you still want to use this rom you'll have to deal with it untill there's a fix. Just pm the dev if you can't post in his thread. Or try another rom

Hi... my screen 'died' at the bottom. It doesn't register touch at all. I've attached screenshot from service menu. Anyone experienced problem like this? I'm using stock rom and kernel.

All stock ? Try a factory reset from the bootloader......
I will try that.
Btw. Sometimes it is not responsive at all and after while it's working on whole screen surface... If hard reset does not help, it could be a hardware issue...

Yep probably is hardware related. Try the factory reset and check.....
Yup... it's hardware related. God dammit... two weeks without phone, again. So... I had yellow spots, wifi issues and now touch screen issues
Time for a new one then !
Hope you get it sorted soon.....again !
Cheers

Does anyone experience this? I am Vanir AOSP now but I think I've notice it before when I would type. I attached a picture of the region right above my htc one logo scribbling it.

It might be related to the custom kernel in that Rom. Do you experience this on any others?
Sent from my Oney Bone.
Unsure. I've always felt that it inhibited my typing on other ROMs but I'm not sure. I'll flash or restore to check.
Found my solution. It appeared that the kernel was trying to is the logo as a menu button but it was not actually being used as a hardware key. I disabled it using trickster mod now everything appears to be working fine.
