I personally don't think so, but its always better safe than sorry.

Short answer, if you only download from the market aka don't download third party apps, you don't NEED it.

This is true. I know there were recent articles about this, do you know that lookout mobile security would protect you from this?

My main complaint is it's listing apps that I didn't purchase from the Market now. So it lists Amazon and Humble Bundle apps when they have updates, but then of course can't update them.
Google should give us the ability to edit the installed apps so we can remove the apps we no lo.ger use as well as the apps that are obsolete and no longer in development. Google are you listening?
I tried it but my system app folder only has 14 megs if space and the file is 30 megs. So, anyone know how to change the size of the folder?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Not that I know of, I don't think its possible. You'll have to delete some stuff to make room. Things like the wallpaper APK's if you don't use. The touchwiz social things, stock widgets etc. There is plenty you can remove that you probably never use.

I didn't even put it in the system folder. Installed as a normal app and all works

Same same, and it works great just don't try to change the "Hi Galaxy" line. If you did that, then uninstall and re-install.
I hope there's more cool apps from the gs3 that I can benefit from. Installed and worked for me the first time

i kind of have to agree. its pretty much the same as voice commands already except there is a voice that talks back. however, the talking voice only works on occassions for me on top of it FC and/or lagging. and i've tried every install method possible, it just doesnt seem to like my phone. plus i've noticed it drains the heck out of my battery.

It was wise marketing/defensive move by Samsung. Now a sales person can say if you only want an iPhone because of SIRI you can check out the galaxy s3 as it has more extensive voice commands over other Android phones.

am just wondering if other smartphones have NFC then you can transfer with other smartphone..right?what i mean is its not only s3 to s3 but you can do it with other devices..right?
Yes but you can't use sbeam. You need a third party app on both phones.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Thank you for the clarification
Correct that sbeam won't work without another S3. But Under NFC in settings you should find somethinv called Android Beam that does what you're asking.

Just that no one I see on a regular basis has a device with nfc. So its a feature I haven't ever used, that's all.

Haha no problem. I tend to miss things as well. And you already removed it? So you dont have CIQ? I would download VooDoo from the android market and run it to check if its still functioning on your device. Love that app.
There are 3 apks and one lib if I remember right.
Cant remember the nsmes but the apps all have a pink gear looking icon.
