After installing the Froyo update yesterday I seem to be having troubles with my WiFi connection. The connection is being dropped after a half an hour or so and I'm unable to reconnect at that time. The Desire just keeps connecting and disconnecting to my network.
I need to reset my router in order to re-establish the connection but it gets dropped again after a half an hour.
I did not experience these problems on the previous version, I did however experience something like it when I connected my PS3 to the router via WiFi in the past. After I done that I wasn't able to connect on my laptop. But I switched to a cable for the PS3 after that anyway.
Is it possible that something on the Desire triggers an overload in the router that causes it to malfunction? I'm unable to connect with my laptop when the connection is dropped on the Desire as well.
It's a Belkin f5d7632-4, which is actually a modem-router, but after disabling the DHCP server it functions fine as a wireless router.
Thank you in advance for any ideas.
If I can't find a solution I think I have to get a new wireless router, I can't go without WiFi on my Desire at home!
If that's the case, advice for a new wireless router is welcome as well. Please post the brand and type and if it's functioning fine with the new Froyo for you.
I have the same issue. I went from standard, unbranded 2.1 to OTA 2.2 like a good citizen, but now it won't connect to my belkin wirless N router, but it DOES connect to my SKY netgear router.
What's the deal?
Yes, I've spotted some more Belkin N1 users on (the dutch website) Tweakers.net with the same problem.
I retain a good connection for about half an hour. They seem to be having the same problem right from the start.
I have a similar problem with a BT HomHub 2.0 but it drops the WiFi randomly however I do not reset the router just turn the WiFi Off and On on the phone and the Desire reconnects. My Desire will also change which SSID its connected too, i.e. from my own SSID to BT Fon or BT Openzone (I have them both turned on in my Home Hub) again to get back to my own SSID I have to stop and restart the WiFi on the phone, simply asking it to move back to my own SSID doesnt work.
Just had a call with HTC Netherlands and they advised me to try it on a different network/router and/or do a factory reset to a clean 2.2.
Has anyone tried the factory reset? I doubt that will do any good. A different router would seem to work according to Jammy1 (and I didn't expect otherwise).
Apparently something killed the compatibility between Belkin routers and Android 2.2 ?!
do you guys have the Bluetooth turned on?I realised when both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are on at the same time, the signals tend to clash thereby resulting to connection loss. Though,I experienced this on another android device (a tablet:Archos 5 AIT) especially when a major update occurs.Still waiting for my new Desire.
Random drops also on Linksys WRT54GL with Tomato firmware...

No Bluetooth here. Never even used it.
Try turning off the bluetooth.
Bought myself a cheap Sitecom WiFi router and it works like a charm now. But I hope HTC wil fix this and other little bugs present in this version.
I had similar problems after upgrading to Froyo (custom rom) - the Wifi seemed to get connection then as soon as I tried to use it within the browser it dropped and tries to regain IP. After a bit of fiddling with settings I have found that
i) using channel 12 (12 and 13 are only available if router is set to America location) to avoid conflict with heavy wireless coverage in my area seems to help
ii) using WPA2 encryption seems to give a much stabler connection over WPA, although now and again it forgets the passkey data, even re-entering it fails, only solve was to turn wifi off then on for it to reconnect
still having this problem...
does anybody have some news on this ?
I can connect to my home router a linksys wrt600n with WPA2-PSK key but i cant connect to a belkin N1 with WPA2-PSK enabled.
I tried every setting on the belkin router, just cant get it to connet.
My device just keeps connecting and disconnecting, it gets an ip but cant connect...
What i haven't tried is setting a maual ip and see if it connects then.
If i set it to manual ip, it works.
Does anybody have some news on this ?
What channel is your router on? Read somewhere about it not liking anything over 11...
I've been having the same issue on my Desire and on HD2Android.
If a 2.1 ROM is loaded into either of my devices TKIP and AES work perfectly.
With 2.2 it only connects through my Marconi router and doesn't obtain an IP from my Belkin N1.
I don't think this is a device issue but rather a ROM/OS issue. After speaking with some Linux guys they seem to have the opinion that the driver on 2.2 doesn't resolve it's IP address with some routers. Especially higher end ones with added features like QoS ie Belkin/Linksys.

Yes that was my initial thought !
But my linksys is newer then my belkin and it has no problems connecting my phone.
The 2 wireless routers are configured the same.
On android 2.1 i had no problems.
is it possible to try and install the 2.1 wifi drivers on 2.2 ?
i had the same problem 2 months ago when i first got my Desire. worked at just about every damn wifi router but the one in my house.
did some reading, no one had an answer. just seemed that it worked on some and not on others. so, i went out to the store and i picked up a Linksys after testing the linksys at the shop. my phone connected and had internet no problem. i thought, perfect, i'll take it.
brought it home, same problem. wifi connects and no internet. no setting would fix it. i brought it back to the store. and sure enough, we plugged that very router into their connection and my phone connected and worked. they obviously would not return the router because it works (and i live in a 3rd world country, forget about it).
so, **** if i could figure it out. i wound up using an older adsl/wifi router i had and no problems. but, i have a new linksys that is just sitting in a box...
its not your router, but the phone.
you can always sell the router on internet or the phone

I had contact with HTC Scandinavia and they also recommended a factory reset. But these guys haven't got a clue - they didn't even know this was a big problem after the froyo update. Weird when you think about it, I mean wifi is kind of a big thing for a smart phone.
But no, factory reset did NOT change a thing. And replying to other messages: this thing has nothing to do with what router you use. It seems totally random almost.
I'm really satisfied about defy's performances but there's something i can't figure out with WiFi connection. I'm currently using a netgear wireless-N router which works flawlessy with all the other devices, my defy instead is not able to stay connected for more than 10 seconds, keeping disconnecting and re-connecting to the router, continuosly. No way to use the browser or the market under Wi-Fi.
I'm also on a motorola's forum, there i found other people who experienced the same issue. Some of them say the problem is related to wireless-N routers and yes, it looks like defy works better with wireless-G routers (tested).
Btw, no problem with the 3G.
I was wondering if some of you, here in xda, got trouble with defy's WiFi.
FWIW, I use my defy with my linksys wrt54gl router with no issues whatsoever, so it very well may be the wireless n being the issue.
I'm using an access point (netgear) with wireless N and i'm connected to Wifi all the time. I've had this mobile for a week so i haven't noticed myself getting disconnected on skype...but it works fine with N
I see a wifi issue with my fritz.box as well. wifi is (and stays) connected, but no data is going through. I've found various tips like using static ip or using different channels, but in the end they didn't work for me.
so I rooted the defy and modified the tiwlan.ini where ht_enable was set from 1 to 0, which actually disables N, but gives me a reliable connection instead.
hth
thanks for your replies.
@trosenda
Most of the times it keep disconnecting but sometimes it stays connected but there's no flow of data, that is what happened to you.
I will try your method, disabling N (ht_enable set to 0) probably forces defy to go through G only.
thanks
I have a netgear wifi g and I have some trouble with defy which keep on disconnecting so I can't use the browser or the market...It's not related with wifi n because my router is only g but the problems are there...If you found a solution can you post a step by step explanation?
Solved I figured out defy don't like wifi n routers and protected ones. With a router that broadcasts on g channels with no protection (btw only mac adress control access) the defy works like a charm...hope this help others

Thanks.
Yes the problem is exactly what you said - defy doesn't like too much w-N and secured routers. Not all the people have this issue, however, it has been reported to Motorola through their forum. Let's wait for their answer, hopefully there could be a kind of fix.
I was having the same issue with my Belkin N (secured) in my house. But in two other buildings I have G routers w/o issues. So, I figured, just swap the N for a G, right? No. As soon as I tried either of the G routers in the house, same problem as with the N. So I put the Belkin back in the house and spent some time adjusting its three external antennae. Bingo! I now have as solid a connection with the N as with my two other G routers. Must have been interference. Phones? Applianaces? Sonos? BTW the only other thing I had with the same trouble was my PS3. Now, it's connected perfectly as well. Interference.
I'm online through my Linksys 610n router, haven't skipped a beat since I got the phone...

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that turning of the n-standard on my router, going to b/g mixed (from b/g/n) worked great, no more disconnections. Before, is disconnected like all 20 seconds or so.
What worked for me:
My router is a netgear dgn1000 (a/b/g/n), i had WiFi issues for long time, i tried with the G mode only, tried all the possible configurations (both on phone and router), but nothing to do, disconnections every 10 seconds still going on.
Finally i got it working by following these three steps:
1) Update the router firmware (my router was updated to 1.1.00.41)
Then from your dgn1000 configuration page - 192.168.0.1 -
2) Go to "Wireless settings", switch to G mode
3) Go to "LAN Setup" and assign an address reservation to your defy (e.g. 192.168.0.5)
Note: I tried 2) and 3) before the firmware was updated, no success. So, if you have a dgn1000, first of all update the firmware.
Hope this can help
I don't lise connection but the signal is very weak with Wifi. 3g réception is inside on the other hand

I had the DGN1000 with firmware 1.1.00.35 and my Milestone 2 was connecting very well. Now, I have a DGN1000 with the 1.1.00.28 and my Milestone 2 doesn't connect at all: every 10 secs the connection is re-established with a new dhcp request.
Do you think I ONLY have to change my firmware? Or I have to change also the address reservation?
hi,
why my DEFY wifi N only connect at 65mbit ???? why not 150mbit???
who knows something about it ???
Hmmmm don't know what to say I gotta netgear dng 2000 have no problem with connection just that the router was a lil weak. Fixed that with antenna replacements. Defy has the 2.2.2 Nordic deblur

At my workplace (400+ employees, probably 75 use devices that connect to WiFi, less than 10 on now), IT staff uses MAC filtering on a DHCP server (freeware called PF Sense, if anyone is knowledgeable with that software) that broadcasts IP addresses from the range of 10.10.1.50 to 10.10.1.200 - everything below the last .50 goes to a bunch of access points. This hasn't changed in at least five years, same setup.
IT uses a combination of Linksys and D-Link routers WITH THE DHCP TURNED OFF. This is verified, this is not at issue at all. And WiFi sniffers on two different phones and a MacBook turned up nothing but the EXTERNAL WiFi network (though, obviously, sometimes as many as 3 access points to connect to at one time).
At my work, we've got probably 2-3 city blocks of space here, with the building and myself no closer than 500 feet from the nearest road, let alone other businesses or residences.
Again, no other WiFi networks appear at all.
To be perfectly clear here: I have used this exact setup with no issues going back 2.5 years on both my current Samsung Galaxy S (Sprint Epic 4G) and my former Palm Pre (Sprint).
So here's what's going wrong:
I turn on WiFi, my Android phone running CM9 claims it's connected to "EXTERNAL" (the name of the WiFi network), the WiFi indicator in Android status bar goes blue (meaning has Net access), then it immediately goes gray (connected, no Internet available).
Instead of getting a 10.10.1.1xx IP, Android tells me I've got a 192.168.1.68 (or .21 or .8 or whatever).
Connected to a Cisco/Linksys device (always), and it tells me the following:
Gateway, DNS1 and DHCP server are all: 192.168.1.1.
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
IT has nothing that broadcasts this. My phone does not appear in the DHCP lease logs. It doesn't appear to connect on PF Sense's end at all, despite the MAC addresses matching in that system and on my phone. We killed mine out and reentered it. No change.
Of course, my WiFi at home works like a champ (and delivers IPs only above 192.168.1.100). Open WiFi at a McDonald's works. Pass pro WiFi at a local bar works as advertised.
WHAT DA FAAAAAAAAK??
I've reflashed my CM9 rom. I've wiped dalvik and regular caches. I've forgotten ALL WiFi networks and started from scratch.
What am I missing? What could be causing this? IT is stumped, I'm stumped - and I'm on Sprint so getting a data connection here is about as trustworthy as a methhead in a plumbing store.
Have you tried forcing the static ip and manually entering the settings?

IT is heading out for hte day, but they're going to check every access point in the building tomorrow.
So, so weird.
It actually sounds like one of the linksys access points may be going rogue on you. The default address for a linksys router is 192.168.1.1. It the linksys dhcp server responds before the main dhcp server, your phone can't get out of the neighborhood.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda app-developers app
Almost certainly a rogue access point. All too common for employees to sneak them in or for consumer grade units to behave curiously.
Enterprise wireless systems will automatically detect that sort of thing and contain the unit. It's rather stunning how well that works.
The hospital I used to work for was plagued daily until we properly engaged that security.

Hi everyone,
I have my Nexus 7 connected to an verizon actiontec router. I am getting terrible wifi with WPA2 security enables. Loading websites takes forever and youtube constantly gives network error. I changed the encryption to WEP and its not disconnecting as much but I would prefer to run WPA2.
Anyone have any suggestions on what is causing the lag and disconnects? 2 laptops and 2 android phones no issues.
Try switching to 802.11g. The N7 is quite flaky in 802.11n mode with a lot of routers.
If you are using WEP, you are in effect forcing 802.11g mode, since 802.11n requires WPA2.

Thanks for the reply tni,
Is this a hardware issue or a software issue? Could hardwiring and IP number and switching back to WPA2 possibly fix the issue?

Driver and/or firmware. The Nexus 4, which has pretty much the same Wifi hardware, also has quite a few complaints about Wifi issues.

It's highly unlikely that a fixed IP will make a difference.
Not sure if that came across, but you can use WPA2 with 802.11g (you need to configure that at the router).
Well I changed the router over to WPA2 and then in the advance preferences set it to 'Legacy Mode' to support only 802.11bg and the tablet seems to not be having many hang ups even with youtube. I'll post back if anything changes. Thanks and hopefully this helps a lot of people out there.
I'm using N7 2013 with two different routers,
Both with WPA2, and 802.11n.
No problems at all.
Well, I just did a heck of a lot of work on the IEEE 802.11 protocol suite. I am in no way an expert, but I picked up a bunch of interesting factoids.
- In the 802.11n protocol implementation, all devices must have 802.11n supported NICs. This includes all the clients, not just router. If you have even a single device that is doing legacy 802.11b/g while all the other client NICs are doing 802.11n, then the router will not do 802.11n for any device. Yes, all or nothing deal and the router does not show it. I used Wireshark to confirm this situation exists by drilling down a ton of 802.11 data frames. Despite the router staying set in the drop down menu to 802.11n, under the hood, all the devices dropped to 802.11g.
- Even worse, I know I have clients and router NICs that all support 802.11n, yet I get dropped into the 802.11g protocol. To try to find out what happened, I started from scratch. I put my router into 802.11n which lists it as "performance", then added a static IP to my Nexus 7. I immediately had 58Mb/sec. since 58Mb/sec > 54Mb/sec, I figured maybe I did get 802.11n this time since 802.11g gets 54Mb/sec in optimal conditions. When I went to check which protocol my Nexus 7 is using, I moved it in front of me, a distance no more than 18 inches, and saw my signal drop to next to nothing. I pulled up the Nexus 7's WiFi advanced settings to find out that I now only have 5Mb/sec and the protocol is now 802.11g. This means while roaming, if you hit a sufficient enough degradation in the signal, the Nexus 7 drops your 802.11n status like a hot potato and no, you can't get it back unless you reset everything. I mean at least, to date, I have not found a way to keep a device configured to stay with 802.11n even if the bandwidth drops.
Since I was given a drop down menu in my router as to which protocol I wanted to use and since the 802.11n specs say it is all or nothing, I thought that the router would enforce 802.11n and not allow a legacy NIC to connect to it. This is far from the case. Why they even give us a drop down menu if they are always going to do 802.11b/g/n anyway is beyond me.
Now that I have seen Nexus's wireless protocol drop from 802.11n to 802.11g outside of my control, I want to find all devices that misbehave like this and see if there is anything I can do to force the client to stay on 802.11n. Obviously, I also have to eliminate dead and near dead zones.
Just thought I'd share the all the fun I've had getting to this abysmal point.
I will dig into our smart phones and tablets another day to see if I can force it to stay with 802.11n even its Rx signal attenuated for a few seconds.
I hope this helps others and if your experience is different then mine, I'd love to here what your findings are.
You may be fighting interference not only from the neighbor's WiFi, but appliances in your home. Possible sources for rf noise would include dimmer switches, CRT and plasma screens, microwaves, cordless phones. An rf detector can be bought or built or an am radio tuned between stations can work.
I've seen anywhere from 5mbps to 300mbps connect speed, it can change in one session if the router dynamically adjusts throughput. Also, there may be a power level setting in the router setup to get your signal farther above the noise floor.

An easy rf detector: single coil electric guitar pickup and cheap practice amplifier sourced from a guitar shop. Ask the guitar tech for a good used p/u, they swap them out all the time.
The wider channels used for faster throughput will be more susceptible to interference than the g standard,IMO.

I have Samsung Note 10 Plus , it shows wi-fi 6 logo when connected to Asus Wifi-6 router AX88U. Sometimes, when I leave my home and come back, the Note 10 plus does connect to AX88U wifi-6 but the speed is slow (about 50 mbps on 200mbps connection). If I turn off wifi on my phone and turn it back again. I get blazing fast 226 mbps. I did check some forums and was advised to change phone wifi setting is to static IP with primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary dns as 8.8.4.4 but this does not help.
Other steps taken: I disabled Wifi-6 on my router, but issue does not go away even when wifi ac (5Ghz) is being used.
Also, I have done "forget" network on phone, restart phone, reprogram Wifi setting. No use...
Another interesting fact: I have connected Netgear R7900 (wifi ac only, Mu-mimo) in AP mode to AX88U via cat7 cable. One day, I had observed that as I entered my home, my phone had connected to the Netgear router and the download speed was 200mbps with ping of 8 milliseconds. While I was roaming in the home, I was simultaneously browsing a few websites on my phone, and I observed the phone went from Netgear to ASUS router because I could see Wi-Fi logo without the Wi-Fi 6 symbol and then as soon as it hooked to Asus, I could see Wi-Fi logo with Wi-Fi 6 symbol. All of a sudden, the download speed as tested on speed test app went down from 200 Mbps to 6 Mbps. I switched off the Wi-Fi of my phone and switched it back again. the phone then connected with ASUS router on Wi-Fi 6 and the download speed was 200mbps. So this means that my phone performs very poorly when first-time re-connected to ASUS router. Would this be an issue with my phone not receiving signals properly - because of some issue while acting like a wifi-6 client?
Can someone please advise me how to have my phone connect to router with full internet speed? This only happens if I go out of home and come back in AX88U signal range. Also is this a router issue or phone issue? All other devices in my home are wireless ac (Wifi 5) only and have no issues with Asus router. Asus customer support is pointing finger on the Note 10 plus. Please help!
From what you've described here I would say the issue lies with the assus router. Since the netgear works fine.
On reconnect maybe it's not recognizing the phone properly. When it reconnects to your phone with slow speeds have you checked the router's connected device map? (shows what devices are connected to it) does it recognize properly?

Thank you lennie for your reply. Yes, the device shows up on clients list/ device map. Router does handshake immediately but does not transmit proper speeds. Only difference here is Netgear is AP and is Wifi 5 (ac Mu-mino), whereas Asus ax88u is Wifi 6, ax, main router. So phone does talk well to Netgear but in ac mode. Phone immediately talks to Asus in ax mode but slow speeds. If there is any other way out please let me know... TIA.

Hmmm have you tried to reset network settings on your phone yet? But I seriously think it's a problem with the router and not the phone.
Does this problem only happen to the Note 10 and no other device?
Have you checked for router updates?
Do you use a private DNS service? VPN?
Do you have WiFi power saving mode enabled?

Hi lennie
I did reset network settings, including forget network>reboot> re-program wifi password. Nothing worked. Router is updated. I do not use private DNS or VPN. Not sure about power saving, all settings are default... Also; in the past I used to have Netgear R7800 as main router and R6900P as AP, such incidents did not occur. Not sure where the problem lies. While contacting respective customer care, Asus blames Samsung and vice versa.

FYI for everyone - I just got on phone, my 4th time with Asus. They finally agreed that one more user was facing same issue so they have taken feedback seriously and are addressing this connectivity issue via another firmware update. No idea when this would be released. Asus asked me to return to original seller (an individual on eBay as it is within 30 days of purchase) or send to Asus for service. If service, then I will have to pay for shipping and arrange for a temporary router myself. Hence returning to seller on eBay. So we do have issues where router will not talk well with certain devices!

OK thought so. Glad to hear that they've taken your issue. There's a reason people don't buy Asus products anymore like they use to especially motherboards. They tend to do some things right and others just wrong which you usually don't find out until it's too late.

Thanks lennie - any suggestions for a good router? I have one R7800 acting like AP, handles about 15 devices on 2.4Ghz (IoT - smart plugs, 3 wifi cameras @720p, not too much data load; and AX88U main router that handles about 8 devices, where most work is done, like iPads, Cellphones, Laptops on 5Ghz. I need to choose one main new router as I want to get rid of AX88U. Shall I get another R7800 as I did not see any performance difference between Wifi 5 & 6 on a 200mbps bandwidth - or I have shortlisted Wifi-6 RAX80 Netgear as main router. Any advice? TIA!

Tell you the truth I wouldn't know. But I would go with what works, if the R7800 are works then I don't see why not.

I got informed via another forum subscription that a new AX88U firmware update was out.......
It also happened around the day I was in a bitter situation as I was waiting for seller on eBay to accept my return request. He is a good guy who did not use the router on Ax devices. Now that I have purchased from him and using it on ax client, we came across this issue. Immediately upon reading this note, I updated the router firmware. I then went outside my home for a short walk but when I came back, my cellphone still had poor download speed with router upon reconnecting on 5Ghz. I explained this new observation and sent screenshots of speedtest and the seller kindly accepted my return request. Sadly this update did not sort out my issue.
But here is the good part: I had purchased a new AX88U at full price from Amazon. Initially I noted my 2.4 Ghz speed was very poor 4-25 mbps even when "6" was seen in wifi logo, means cellphone and router were on some new signal standard. With this update, I am getting 7 ms ping and 120-130 mbps download speed (same speeds on 2.4 Ghz with the "faulty" router described above). So this update did really speed up the internet speeds most evidently seen on 2.4 Ghz frequency. Also worth noting: I am not having the "poor download speed upon reconnect" with the brand new router that I just got.
Hello from Germany
This is a bug i already noticed and spent hours and hours with my Note 10 Plus and Asus AX88U !!! Now after 2 Month i give up. If you have 2 same 5GHZ Networks in your house (for better coverage) with the same SSID you can
see what is happening. My Internet Provider Speed is 200 down and 80 up. When first connected to the Asus Wifi 6 Router everything is fine. Than when you go one floor up you will get connected to the Other (i have tested both Asus AI and also as normal Access point via Ethernet ) Router and everything is ok. But than when you go back and connect again with the Asus AX88u in Wifi6 the Download speed on my Note 10 Plus is capped at 4-7 mbps down and 10 up !!! from 200/80. This is only affecting on the new Asus AX88u and Note 10 Plus and it doasn't metter if you switch Wifi6 or use Wifi5 AC . I tested also without 160 Mhz and every other mode nothing is changing. The sync on the Note 10 Plus is 1200 mbps on 5 GHZ so the most possible sync between note 10 device and the Router !! But after you connect to the same SSID on other channel in your house you will have this bug when returning to the Asus AX88u ! Only way is WIFI off and ON and all Speed are back again on Note 10. I have written to Samsung but no one replyed. With other devices like IPAD Pro 12.9 2018 or some Xiaomi devices everything works fine. Only Note 10 Plus is having this Bug . Most of the People will not notice it because almost all services will run fine for them with 10 mbps but i do because i always have my note 10 with Network Data in Statusbar and want to know all the time my network speed etc.
Sry for my English but i hope you understand. Definitly a AX88u Bug !
UPDATE: I tested with new Firmware from 25 of November they seemed to fixed it !!!
Update again : The Bug is still there! Almost every time when u roam in your house and reach again the wifi 6 router from Asus.
Again I have two wifi in my house with same ssid and different channels. It doesn't matter if you put the second router in access point mode or normal router(connected via ethernet cat 6 to Asus) . I also tryed a second Asus Router in Asus Mesh mode wired and over WiFi. Still same behavior.
When first connected to the Asus rt ax 88u with my note 10 plus everything is fine. The wifi sync is 1200 mbps when in same room and I get all of my isp bandwidth 200/80 from my provider. When I move upstairs and reach the second Hotspot the phone automatically switches to the other router (also tested different once). Also here everything is OK you get the full bandwidth up and down. But as soon as you return to the wifi 6 coverage of the rt ax88u the wifi speeds are dropping to almost 4-7 mbps! Down and maximum 20-30 up. Really strange behavior the sync is normal with 1200 mbps but you get no bandwidth! When moving up to the other network everything works fine again.
Also tryed with switching of ax mode but same problem with AC mode. This is a huge bug with Galaxy note 10 plus and Asus AX 88u Router
I recently acquired the Tenda NOVA MW6 mesh network, and have noticed wifi speed issues only with my note 10, not with roku 4k, not with my box S, not with galaxy tab s6, only with note 10, my cablemodem, it has the option wifi, also had problems, also only with note 10 ....

Same here, also the Tenda NOVA MW6, and also only speed problems with my Note 10. The reason why t¡is because Note 10 connects to 2.4 Ghz network that seems to be much slower than 5Ghz. Sometimes, out of the blue, Note 10 connects to 5Ghz wifi and then no speed problems at all. I'm trying to find out how to force 5Ghz connection or how to turn off 2.4 Ghz on Note 10, but Google disabled that options in last Android version. So, there seems to be no solution, maybe rooting could solve the issue.
