Is the battery the same size as Epic1?

Cuz this guy knows for a fact that it definitely fits the epic.

it does....i just got a hands on from my friend at sprint. He also has a the first epic and took out the battery and showed me. He is stoked cause he said he still loves his epic and will still use it but with the epic 4g touch battery. I hope this helps you. As for me Epic 4g touch is for me!

More reports of "it is the same size/it fits/it works" are rolling in. Keep watching that link I posted. Looks like I may have been wrong.

Curious if the same can be said the other way around. Would save me the cost of an extra battery and charger. Yes, the Epic battery holds less juice, but having it as a backup to what I hear is already very good life would probably work out pretty well.

I will be using one of these new batteries in my epic1 for sure.

Yes, I own both and the dimensions are the same. The epic touch battery is just a higher capacity

Does anyone else notice it's harder to get the 1500mah battery in the Epic Touch? It looks like the bottom grove(s) are a little different. Everything else is the same, it's just a tight fit. It works though.

Sometimes. It's hit or miss with Otterbox. Generally their Commuter series is pretty good (though I do like the Seidio Active more) but I am not a fan of their Defender or Impact lines at all.

I first bought my Otterbox case for my EVO so its been almost a year since i have been using it, must of dropped my phone 7 times? from 5 feet to tile floor but never outside and not a scratch to be found!
I wouldn't invest in any other case, especially Seidio they are over priced and not as good as otterbox!

When I ordered my otterbox defender through a 3rd party for the Evo, it was a disaster. For some reason I was convinced this reseller would have the cases before otterbox (regardless of wait time and pre-orders). Long story short, I was told several times it was 'on it's way' and canceled the order a few weeks later just to purchased it from otterbox.

I would call Otterbox before you order guys. I don't think they have a case for the Epic 4G Touch yet, and I think Let's Talk made a mistake on their site. Better to make a quick call than to have to deal with a return IMO.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but LetsTalk is wrong. There is no case in production for the Epic Touch.
I contacted our Otterbox rep and he told us this: "Just got more info on it – we don’t have anything currently in production for the Epic Touch, however we are looking into options for the device. Sorry to disappoint! I can let you know if I hear further detail down the road, though."

I got the same thing...when I returned my Photon to buy the Epic 4G Touch, I got a full refund for the Otterbox case. I wanted to exchange for the Epic 4G Touch Defender case because I liked the Photon version so much, but the lady told me "At this time we have no plans to make a case for the Epic 4G Touch."
Which means I'm stuck with crappy generic cases for now.

Otterbox cases have disappointed me on my old HTC Inspire, after a great initial impression. What the other guy said about them being hit or miss is spot on, some models are designed much better than others.
I'm more excited for the Case-Mates, their cases have always had first place in my book.

I have a Motorola Photon 4g. Excellent Condition! Screen is PERFECT and has been in a case from day 1! Who wants to trade? I'm already looking on craigslist to find someone local but am getting impatient. In North Indiana.
I have the orig box, charger and like I said, comes with the grey and fake leather case that I bought from Sprint. I bought it straight from a corp. store.

How is the signal on the photon? I'm wondering because my wife and I use these phones for our work and in low coverage areas, so it might be smart for us to have 2 different phones just for diagnostic sake.

I've never dropped a call. People all say on the forums that the photon has one of the best radios they've ever used. I'm just bored with the phone, that's why I want the epic touch. I have zero complaints about this phone as far as call quality, and reception is concerned. I just want something thinner.

Well, according to the photon forums, it appears to be mod friendly as well which is primarily what I care about, and the touchpad would actually be highly useful for my business, so I'd do the trade.
My S2 has what amounts to some light rubbing on that bottom piece of shiny plastic... You have to look at it in the light at an angle to even see it. It had the anti glare screen protector put on in store upon removal from the box, and both it and the screen are flawless.

I tried to include some pics of the photons light rubbing as well. Due to it being in the case since purchase, it has gotten a few scuffs on the sides. I'm assuming like yours, something you need to look for to see. You don't happen to live around Fort Wayne, IN do you? Also, the TP is a 32gb with the touchstone dock and i have an old iPad 1 case that it fits in and has 2 stands built into the case that work really nice. Tho after thinking about it last night, it's not exactly a fair trade so I was thinking either I'd trade my Photon and some cash for the Epic Touch or both my Photon and TouchPad for the Epic Touch and some cash. What do you think?

Doh, oh well. I don't get paid again for a week and trading the S2 for just the photon (cash doesn't sweeten it much, still left without the S2 in the end) doesn't work, was much more the touchpad I'd be interested in.

Well I'm still open to the idea. If you really want to trade, I don't care when you get paid... we work out a deal and swap phones ASAP... we can just work the TP deal when you get paid. It's up to you. I just think if I trade the TP and my phone for an ET, I'm getting screwed.

How much are you thinking in addition for the Touchpad?

IDK... $100. I think that'd be fair. The 16gb Touchpad is $99... the 32, $150. After tax, shipping, the case, and touchstone charger, I spent around $225. What do you think?

I used their case on my iPhone 3GS. It was a really nice case that looked great. When I bought the HTC EVO i told them how much I liked their cases and hoped they would create one for the EVO. That never happened and unfortunately I don't think it will for the GN either. I hope they do because I would buy one.

t989 vs epic 4g touch measurements

hi,
i want to buy an otterbox case for my t989 but they havent released one yet.
i saw a case for samsung galaxy s2 epic 4g touch.
they look basically the same and have the same measurements.
what do you think, can i order it?

It wont fit, my co-worker has the Epic 4G Touch and I have the T989, the Epic 4G is wider. Whatever case you order has to be specifically made for the T989.

he speaks the thruth... I have an i727 skyrocket and bought a couple cases for it assuming they would also fit my t989... They are almost identical phones but the headphone port and rear speaker are on opposite sides of each other so its a no go... U gotta stick with the exact model of the specific phone...

i also checked the skyrocket model and they do have speakers on the opposite side, but the epic touch has the speaker on the same side as the t989.
anyway, if you say the screen is a bit wider i guess i'll just have to wait for a t989 otterbox case.
