Thinking of upgrading from the Inc 1 since these can be had relatively inexpensively now, but one thing I'm wondering...
With a custom kernel, my Inc 1 is able to do 5 pts of multitouch, which I do use in some apps... I searched the Inc 2 forums but found nothing for multitouch at all...
can someone test using one of the small, free, multitouch test apps and let me know how many the Inc 2 does?
Tried a few different versions of multi touch tests from the market... I could only get 4 points.
Using Liquid Smooth rom along with JD kernals latest nightly.
that's very good news. 3-4 is all I really need. I didn't know if the Inc 2 panel even supported it. With the Inc 1, AMOLEDs mostly could do from 3-10, but LCD could only do 2.
Anyone else know more about this? do only certain models work or should ANY Inc 2 be able to do at least 3 points?
I flashed Tiamat 1.1.5 to see if that would change anything. Still had 4 points. Not sure how another rom would do. Maybe some of the others using different roms will give a little input.
Isn't this specific to either the kernel or the rom? The most I have seen is ten and I am pretty sure it was a kernel on the inc that allowed for so many but I could be wrong
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
my DInc2 can only do 4.
I'm running CM7 Nightly 101 right now with the latest tiamat kernel.

My Honeycomb tablet can go up to 10 I didn't even know more than 2 was possible! Go figure.
very cool, thank guys. so it seems likely that any Inc 2 SHOULD be able to do 4 points, though I may need a specific ROM and/or kernel. 4 is all I need so this is perfect.

I was thinking about flashing a new radio, and wanted to see what the options were and what the benefits are, if any. Or if I am just so addicted to flashing stuff on my phone that I want to be one of the cool kids with a newly flashed radio...
different radios give better signal/speed in different areas. What works great in town x may not work as good in town y and Visa Versa......
IMO, if you are going to use a gingy rom, use the latest radio file .07.07. Don't bother using anything else.

That is this person's opinion. Test each radio to see what works best for you. It all depends on how close you are to towers, and how the radios are configured. The only way to see what works best is to test them all out.
PS: This should have been posted in Q&A.
the radio mods are listed in the first sticky in the dev forum, the link works too.

older radios could still be a choice, fur example 7.28 worked the best for me compared to the newer and evo versions. I couldn't get into the -70ish dBm range until I came across 7.28
What about if im from Iusacell Mexico..... i shouldnt flash other radio thank the stock that i have? thanks!

No reason to be, check the MD5 and follow the steps and your set, if you can use revoked to root the phone updating the radio is easy.

Yes. I have a GSM version of the GNEX here in Canada and am running s custom 4.0.3 ROM and my signal does this ALL THE DAMN TIME!!!
I have flashed several radios and none fix the issue. The only thing that seems to work is either going back to the STOCK 4.0.1 ROM that came with my device or to flash the Android Revolution HD ROM which is based on 4.0.2. On that ROM I dont lose signal.
I am getting quite frustrated about this issue too. I have posted many time in various threads looking for answers and NO ONE seems to have any idea about this which I find weird as I have seen countless others with the same issues as I describe.
I had similar issues with my N1, and it turned out to be related to the older SIM card I had. You may want to consider a new SIM...

Thanks for the reply. I have a new thread open to try and generalize these issues more clearly. Please see here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487239
Also... I have 2 different SIM cards from my provider and one is a bit old (but works just fine in my SGSII) and one is new with a different number and this happens with BOTH SIM cards.
Again, please see the thread I have linked here for more info.
So my Nexus has been under repair for the last two weeks. Just got it back last night.
When I sent it in for repair there were only a handful of roms, now there are like ...lots.
So, was wondering, what is considered right now by the Verizon community for the Nexus, the most complete, feature rich, stable working rom for Jellybean?
I know it's a loaded question, but hopefully someone can give some insight
you should trie this one!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613902
I`m using the maguro version and its great!!! its almost nothing you cant change on this rom!! It is simply amazing:laugh:

If you are interested in Jellybean, I would suggest Eclipse Jellybean. I have flashed Paranoid and Vicious and they are both very good ROMs but I really like the included features and continuous updates of Eclipse. I am on verizon as well and have had zero problems with the exception of the custom navbar utility. Not the navbar itself, mind you, just the utility that allows you to customize the softkey icons on the fly. Otherwise, the features are great and they don't include a ton of useless features and mods that will add to instability, kill your battery, or just slow your phone.
Well, I think that ParanoidAndroid is one of the best rom.
The hybrid mode made your phone looks completely different. It's awesome.
It's based CM10.
The thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619582
Unfortunately, not everything is so good in this rom. The actual versions are not very stable (maybe for the CM kernel). I would recommend to wait untill ParanoidAndroid 2.0 (which should be very stable).
This is an example of how my Gnex looks like:

Can be possible to port the htc one rom with all his feature for our gnexus?
no.

Almost certainly not going to happen. Since we haven't seen a port of any previous HTC ROM, then this would be no exception.

sorry for bringing this post up again, but i think this is better than opening a new thread.
what i wanna ask is that does something make it difficult to port a htc rom to this device, or something else?
i am certainly attracted by the htc one rom on first sight. it would be nice if i can have a taste of it on GNex without the need of changing a new one.

mostly coz: Nobody even bothers! JK
If you just read the other threads asking for HTC ports, you'd know that what makes it all the more difficult is HTC framework, which is proprietary.
a maguro wrote this.
I am experiencing huge slowdowns, freezes, and crashes on my e975. It is only about 6 months old or so. My previous phone, HTC incredible s started doing this after it was years old. I have to restart my phone every two days or so thick really isn't acceptable. Also, hairline cracks are appearing in the screen even though I never pit anything in my pocket besides my phone... I'm using a 4.2.2 rom and yes, my boatloads is unlocked and it is rooted.

Im experiencing the same in Stock ROM. Im considering change to another ROM.
Try this, if it helps
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grilledmonkey.lagfix&hl=en
slow downs are because lg´s thermal control...
by cpu at 36°C and more, the cpu plays at 1.1Ghz... (and gpu down to 200mhz)
but dont ask me after the temperatures...
you can edit 1 file (root) to slove that problem (+display brightnes ****..)
So what is this file?
So what is this file?
To get technical, SSD (or Nand) drives needs to be optimised from times to times. While regular HDD used defrag to get thing "straight", SSD uses "Triming". Trim was not implimented until Android 4.3, all version before that would need to do it manually, with the tool in the link provided.
Try it and see if it helps.
