Did you try these tips for the camera?

Read down the first post and you'll see the video recording section. Basicly you have to kill all tasks before filming.
Hello all, I am looking for a HQ video recorder application for my HTC Evo 4G. I currently use tap-a-talk for HQ audio recording which works great, any ideas for video other than the stock camcorder?
There really isnt any better solution. The bottleneck in the bad recoding is the codec that android uses for 720p.

Bummer.....so there is virtually no way to load a different codec on my device? I am able to record HQ audio not using HTC's recorder app but a third party app. Is that not using a different codec?
If tour good at coding its highly possible.

Well good ol kernel #17 was great but I don't think It's compatible with 3.70. If it is, I need it.

wow, its my 2nd post.. lol .Anyway i tried using tape-a-talk audio recorder, and yes it works great. So then i tried to mix it.
First i start the record on tape-a-talk. then i press home button so the recording still continue. After that.. i open the camcorder app, in setting i choose record without sound (if choose with sound, the camcorder will force close). Finally i edit it on PC, a little trim on the audio, using a video audio merger, i sync the audio within the video. Voila.
The problem was.. the laggy video, very hard to sync the audio and video.
I guess i'll buy a new microsd class 6 or 10, hopely it'll improve the video quality.
Can anyone confirm that 720 video can not work with 3.7 ? If this is the case then I may have to go back to a previous sense based rom.

I was recording a high school soccer match using the stock video recorder. I mistakenly assumed the fast motion option was recording something like a sporting event.
So now the videos are in fast time. Is there a way to edit the speed of recorded videos?

The new version of youtube app has just been released providing the option to custom choose the resolution of the video. However, the only options for our phone are 140p 240p 360p. Is anybody aware of a way to enable hd video to our measly but reliable phone?
Thus far AFAIK, the only way to watch YouTube videos in HD is via third party apps such as Viral Popup Player and OGYouTube.

Are you people running Stock ROM from samsung?
I am running the latest nightly version of OMNI rom for galaxy s2 and all the Youtube videos are played at only 360p maximum. Is this rom lacks any youtube video hardware acceleration issue? or its an limitation with youtube.
Thanks,
Sivabalan K
the s2 doesn't have a 720p screen so hd videos are usless on this small screen

I'm on NeatROM which is essentially a stock ROM and the quality only goes up to 360p on the official YouTube app. You can watch YouTube videos in 720p but only via third party apps.

Get Xposed and download "app settings" then open it and scroll down to YouTube and change the DPI to 200 and change the DP to 800×1280 I'm sure it will work. Hope I helped
