Hi everyone,
For the last few days my internal and external (speakerphone) periodically stop working. Sound still works through headset jack or bluetooth. A reboot fixes it. It started happening after I flashed the CM7.1 update so I flashed back to cm7 last night but this morning the speakers were dead again.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Okay, it seems that this happens after using my Bluetooth headset. It's really annoying. Anyone? Please.
Well I have identified that the speakers cut out after using voice dialing with my Jawbone BT headset. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to address this problem??

I did a search on the other thread and found many people with the same issue. In order to organize our thoughts on this topic I would go ahead and open a thread for it and maybe this will help jj and community members to find a solution.
My problem is much like everyone else. I can connect my motorola S9 they will play music; however, when I go to try to make a phone call or answer a call all I get is a slight hum through the headset with no audio and a possible freeze of the device. The slight hum is initiated by pressing the phone icon button on the headset.
I hope I haven't pissed people off by starting this thread I just thought it was necessary to come together on this because it is not just noobs having this problem but members and senior members.
EDIT: It looks like from the other thread JJ just came on and addressed this issue and is working on a fix. mods please remove this thread.

yes... still investigating this issue... the drivers i used have A2DP issues...
Widcomm bt project?
My problem:
Parrot ck3100 paired and sincro without problem. But no sound, just static.
Nothing original, as I can read in meny posts.
I wonder if somebody tried widcomm bt drivers (the project for hermes) with black 3.0.1.
I've been seeing a weird issue where the phone doesn't seem to know if BT is on or off. The Comm Manager will say BT is off -- but the blue LED is blinking. You go into BT settings, and it's unchecked (and presumably off) -- but it's still discoverable from PC's. Also hitting the BT button on the comm manager doesn't always toggle BT -- sometimes it works, sometimes not.
It's not a major deal to me, since I only use BT for PAN and file transfers, but that's only because I lost my really nice BT headset.
I have the Motorola HT820.
Black 2.0, not working
LVSW 5/5 working but phone only sometime answers
Black 3.01 - Success! All buttons work and sound is fantastic with stereo. Headset seems to work for call.
Widcom stack on my lappy seems to connect ok, although it seems slower than previous roms for transferring files
I'm currently testing an uncooked version of this ROM and BT is working without any problems
Am using a Jabra BT 250 headset. Initially paired it fine but went to use it an hour later and would not connect.
Re-paired it and it worked but with static.

Mute and Unmute by pressing the Green button twice should bring back the sound.

whats wrong with posting this in the thread for black 3.1? i guess this issue will never be solved not the bluetooth the stupidity
If the BT issues are a problem, do as I and many others did; flash Black 2.5 back onto the phone. Hopefully, your backup will be better than mine
But, the reality is that these are ROMs that are put together by volunteers, and use the latest available software. It can, by its very nature, contain bugs. It is NOT JJ's issue to fix them all--he's done a great job (walshieau too!) making these kick-ass roms. If you want to complain about the roms, flash the official carrier rom, and call them and complain. If you want to be on the bleeding edge, you are going to have to READ, LEARN and UNDERSTAND what you are doing--and be proficient enough to at least TRY to fix your own problems.
Hi!
A few days ago I bought a micro bluetooth headset... this is it
I thought I can also listen to music with this... But I can only listen to incoming or outcoming call conversation... It is a phone problem?

Update : Thank You Kinfauns
Ok so it's been a while I didn't use my phone with a wired headset, but some time ago I would always use it to listen to music on my daily commute. Lately I started using it again. I've always used it with some Soul SL99 for music and calls with no problems.
But since 2 days ago I noticed it stays on headset mode even after disconnecting the headphones. when I make a call the built in mic and speaker don't work and the proximity sensor disabled. I can use it on speaker with no problem, and if I connect the headset people don't here me clearly. I have to restart the phone to exit headset mode on it, but whenever I connect my headphones it'll stay in headset mode no matter what until I restart it again.
Only weird thing I've done is try out different audio mods, like AwesomeBeats, Ac1d audio and Noozxoide. So I can't tell if it's damaged hardware or software. I've tried full wiping my rom, I've tried 3 different Roms including going back to 4.1 and on every single rom it does the same thing.
So basically my question is, could it be software driver related? Or most likely hardware? If software, would there be a fix? And if hardware, what piece would it be, the loud speaker/headphone module, or the headphone flex cable?
Has anyone experienced this before?
I have no experience with it, but maybe this will fixed in the next update to fix Bluetooth streaming.
Can you try cm10 stable or another 4.2 rom and see if that helps

I did, I tried AOKP latest build, XenonHD, CNA 3.8.0, and some others. Still does the same thing. Hopefully it is software and I won't have to buy replacement parts.

Still no one can help?
I've bought a Nexus some days ago and it already came with 4.2.1. I have just added root and CWM.
Yesterday I tried for the first time to connect it to my car's bluetooth handsfree kit. I activated Btooth, but I've not found any way to make the phone visible. Tapping on the phrase "your phone is not visible" did nothing. It was searching for devices but found nothing. Later at home I've found on google forums many people that have problems with bluetooth on 4.2.1. I also found that in some situation it is impossible to turn it off, and it does not work correctly. I have found this advice:
Go in settings - applications. swipe to the right last page "ALL". Search for bluetooth pairing app. Click on it and terminate it. Maybe you have to tap twice. Now your BT is off. Now go in application again (or use your favorite widget, like widgetsoid) and turn BT on again. Now it should work (for some time, only !!) This way I was able to pair Nexus with handsfree and also I've made some calls.
From forums, it seems a software bug. Found in other phones also, not only on Nexus.
Cheers
Sergio
So I foolishly just assumed that if I bought the bluetooth connection for my car stereo that turns it into a bluetooth speaker/receiver, it would work with a (relatively) new phone right? Wrong.
So, if the HTC One V doesnt have this, is there any way you can get it (avcrp)? Does any kind of bluetooth headset etc work with A2DP? why cant i at least get it to put the sound through the speakers? Grr
It appears to be an android thing. Cyanogenmod seems to be addressing it, though.

This is an interesting issue. My S3 mic jack got messed up at some point. It still works fine most of the time. But sometimes when I have normal headphones plugged in, people can't hear me in a voice call, or the call simply hangs up.
But the most annoying thing is when it randomly activates Google Now, while Hotword detection is OFF. And starts issuing voice commands, like right now I'm listening to a podcast with people talking, and it literally picks up the audio from the people talking and searches it on Google. Right now as I type this post it's popping up in my face and searching stuff which is annoying. Somehow the noise going over the headphone jack is activating it. It's supposed to be off.
But if I turn hotword detection on, then disconnect the headphones completely, I can't get Google now to pop up from any app like that. EVER. Unless I'm already in the Google now app. But the messed up headphones can activate it from any app. How is this possible?
That's a new one I haven't heard yet. I have two suggestions. My first one is get it fixed under warranty if you can since it definitely sounds like its a hardware problem. Second is fix it yourself through a youtube video that deals with that issue. Can you recall how you broke it?

I had a similar issue and I believe it's the problem with the headphones rather than your Mic jack. When I used to plug my phone to my speakers Google now would pop up. But if I just plug in the Samsung headphones nothing would happen.
