Hi Guys,
Perhaps someone is familiar with a way to hide specific albums in the music app?
Or maybe to allow the native music app to scan only a specific folder?
I know there other players that can do that (mortplayer for example) but i would like to do that in the native music app.
Using CM7.1

I currently listen to all my music via Google Music and was wondering if there was an app like doubleTwist player that lets you either add widgets to lock screen or use google music from lockscree. Need a free app though, I have the google music widget on my homescreen already so not as big deal to me, but one less step is always cool since lockscreen is empty.
I have searched the web and I still have no answer. I have a few playlists and I would like to use my 3rd party app to play them by default but I can't find a way to change the default player for them. Is this possible?
Hey guys,
Currently using the Hellkat ROM but I had the same "issue" with JediMindTrick.
Issue is, even though I set Poweramp as the default music player in Android, some apps withe the option to launch music still uses the ROM stock music player when using such an option.
Example, Apollo is the stock music player in the Hellkat rom and after installing Poweramp I set it as my default music player. But when I select the music icon from within the Runkeeper app, it launches Apollo instead of my default player.
I searched for quite a few hours today and found some information related to "intent". I'm not a DEV some bare with my ignorance but tis apparently a way for devs to link to a stock app from their application.
So since Runkeeper and other such apps aren't giving the choice of which app to use when selecting the music icon and start the stock music app instead, I was wondering if there was a way to change the "stock" music app, by editing a conf file or something...?
Thanks!
Download an app to remove system apps from the play store and remove the offending app. It will usually clear the defaults if it's properly uninstalled and you can then set your default music player to your preferred one.
go to settings >> apps and get app info for the stock music player. clear the defaults and see if that works.
if not you can download titanium bavkup pro from the pla store and delete the default player so your phone has no choice but to use your preferred music app.

Music widget is fully working with Music Play app from google. But that App have terrible sound quality. I want to use standard music app called "music" because it's much better.
I can make this widget play/pause, frwd, rwnd working with Music app but then it does not show the cover of the album and the name and title of the song. How to make this happen?
Hey,
is there a way to remove the music player widget in the car app? I only use Google Play Music and don't have any music on my device, so the widget only shows WhatsApp audio files.
Bump. i'm curious about this as well if anyone knows
