Hey All,
Hopefully I'm not totally recovering ground someone has already asked about. But I had a query and I couldn't post under the thread I wanted to ask the question in.
A while back I created a gold card and put the WWE stock RUU on my phone (unbranded my Vodafone AU DHD). I'm still running the stock RUU Android 2.2, I never updated to 2.3. Due to a possible warranty issue coming up, I was thinking I should probably change it back to the Vodafone image. I can't find a Vodafone AU RUU installer for the DHD.
I have been looking at this guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920876
It seems pretty comprehensive, but I'm just wondering if it's the right guide I should be following. The only reason I ask is I have not rooted my phone or installed a custom ROM. All I've done is un-brand the phone with the Stock ROM and a gold card.
Looking in the boot loader it says:
ACE PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.85.0007
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.03.02.26_M
eMMC-boot
Under Software info it says:
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M
Software number: 1.32.405.6
Is there another way to install the Vodafone ROM or do I need to use Clockwork Mod? And do I need my phone rooted to do this (I've never used Clockwork)? Just want to easiest way to go back to the Vodafone ROM
Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm going over old territory.
You are on the right guide basically looks like you will need to have clockworkmod to get stock vodafone back.

Also tried some other RUUs, without success.
Need to unroot my phone, since it Restarts randomly and needs the board replaced.
Please someone help!
Having a generic (not branded) Desire, ROOT, latest LeeDroid ROM,
BRAVO PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT 0.80

5.09.05.30_2 Radio
SD Card Working
Access to SD via USB working.
One day I was trying to S-OFF this phone, but all I got was the ugly Joker splash screen, can this be the problem?
This phone has been rooted-unrooted-rerooted before without problems!
Thanks!!
Why not get the 2.10.405.2 or 2.29.405.2 RUUs? If they don't work either it might be because you have a branded handset

where are these RUUs hosted? Didn't find any direct links here on xda. EDIT:Found your thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828519
And why aren't they in this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
will try out and report.
the phone is for sure not branded, was preordere on amazon.de back in the good ol' days and is running Lee's ROM.

Check your build number, from there you can see if your phone is branded or not.
BTW: have you wiped everything during rom flashing?
for example,
I have (originally) : 1.19.161.5, and that is a vodafone UK branding.
I have to use : RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28 U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe

Why not use the 2.33.161.2 RUU in ROM Development?

SOLVED:
Thanks a lot Guys, that was easyier as I thought and saved me a lot of nerves.
I simply flashed 2.29.405.2 RUU and everything was fine!
I just dont unterstand why the stiky thread in the Development section is not being updated with these RUUs. It would have saved me many hours!
Because everyone goes to shipped-roms.com for their stock RUUs

No problem with that one.
If I am not mistaken :
It is just that the one you posted will update to Android 2.2 and H-Boot 0.93, while my post ís still 2.1 and H-Boot 0.80.
For comfort reason during rooting, I choose the 0.80.
But seeing as rooting on HBOOT 0.93 has NO issues at all it makes sense to use it
Hi,
Quick question hoping you can help with.
I have S-OFF (Previously Rooted) and recently installed the latest Gingerbread 2.50 WWE RUU (with a Goldcard).
Does the S-OFF mean I can install a customer ROM without having Root?
Is it possible to change the CID? I have a Vodafone UK CID so don't get OTA. (OK, its a second question! Couldn't resist!).
And Finally (really this is the final one!), I can't find instructions to revert my phone to original state, i.e. re-branded to Vodafone UK with S-ON for warranty. Can you point me in the right direction, please?
Thanks in advance...
Kiz
With s-off and goldcard already in hand, you may downgrade it to stock 2.36.405.8 to gingerbreak or simply 1.32.405.6 and then flash any custom rom that comes across your mind. Your cid can be changed it the Oneclick Radio Tool.
To return to stock vodafone branded rom, just read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920876&highlight=vodafone+original+img
If I'm not mistaken, S-On can be applied just as normal DHD should. Please do make reference to the stickies in Android Dev section.

Has anyone succesfully unlocked the bootloader while on this firmware with S-ON?
Sasktel Canada WWE 1.58.669.2 PG7611000
I had serious problems with it back when the WFS was first released, I've been stuck on it ever since.
I keep getting ERROR [191]: when trying the ROM on htcdev.. Tried alot of the others also..
More to the point, my question is, has anyone had any progress with this?
Here are my phone details incase this helps.

My phone originaly came with a Euro stock ROM, but it was so long ago I forget which one it was. UK Vodafone maybe.
//EDIT
Okay do as this thread says:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301388
Change firmware number to 1.30.401.0 when asked, and flash to this ROM Gingerbread 2.3.5 (v2.13.401.2).zip :
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NETNLZD0
Extract and run installer..
then you will be out of that horrible firmware, then proceed to change your Hboot.
I'm not the creator of these methods just reposting them, miguelca is the creator of the Gingerbread link, so thanks to him.
Nobody has had this issue? Even if you have the same specs, did yours work without a hitch? Maybe I did something wrong?
I'm currently trying to get temp root, then upgrade the hboot, would that work yes? I will be using this tutorial here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301388
basically doing the opposite of what it says lol.
Hi, apologies for creating another thread for something that is probably very simple, but the information I’ve found can be conflicting sometimes
I've a rooted HTC Desire with a (very old) LeeDroid ROM installed.
Phone is going, so I want to revert back to the office UK T-Mobile ROM.
Current configuration:
Bravo PVT1 S-ON
HBOOT - 0.80.0000
Radio - 5.09.05.30_2
Clockwork Recovery v 2.5.0.7
I've never messed about with S-OFF or anything?
Is it simply a case of getting the correct RUU (which I think I have, RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.21.110.4_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127570_signed) and running it?
I realise that this is probably a stupid question, but any assistance would be appreciated?
Thanks
Put the 2.2 one on, not the 2.1
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...00.32U_5.10.05.17_2_release_143754_signed.exe
Or better yet put the unbranded 2.3.3 from htcdev.com.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need to install a rom with sense, plug USB in HTC Sync mode and then run the RUU.
Then the official RUU should take care of everything (boot, radio).
But again, never done myself.
Thanks guys, installing the official RUU from the website worked perfectly
Thanks for the advice
HI TO ALL,
WE BRIEFLY EXPOSE MY PROBLEM.
IN JANUARY I BOUGHT A DHD FROM ALIBABA WEBSITE FROM CHINA,
THE PHONE TO ALL APPEARANCE LOOKED LIKE IN THE DESCRIPTION,
ONLY WHEN OPERATORS VERIFICATION HTC I DISCOVER THAT THE DHD
It's BRANDED UK, and that in ANY CASE it was UNLOCKED, so much is that I USE HERE IN ITALY with 3 CARD.
INFORMATION SOFTWARE is WRITTEN that I MOUNT a ROM 2.3.3
SENSE 2.1 SOFTWARE NUMBER 2.50.405.2
THE PROBLEM ARISES HERE.
To USE the HTC'S OFFICIAL GUIDE to UNLOCKING the BOOTLOADER I NEED the VERSION NUMBER 2.50.61.3
BUT I DO NOT UPDATE Correctly, and ACCORDING to HTC OPERATORS THIS HAPPENS because the PHONE is unlocked and HAS an UNOFFICIAL VERSION of the 2.50.405.2 SOFTWARE.
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IS NOT OFFICIAL?
AND THE OTHER THING THAT I DID NOT UNDERSTAND IS THIS: HOW DO I AT THIS POINT TO USE THE HTC OR ANY OTHER GUIDE WHICH REQUIRES FROM ME A VERSION THAT I DON'T HAVE?
THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN UNLOCKED, WHICH I DO NOT KNOW HOW IT WAS DONE, I HAVE TO PERFORM CERTAIN PRELIMINARY STEPS BEFORE RUNNING A ROOT RELEASE?
Thank you.
THESE ARE THE INFORMATION MEETING IN BOOTLOADER:
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT - 0.85.0024
MICROP-0438
RADIO - 26.09.04.11_M2
eMMC-BOOT

First, your all-caps style is difficult to read. Second, you are already S-Off; you don't need to unlock anything because you've already got something better. Just flash a recovery image from fastboot and flash a ROM from that recovery. If you don't know how to do that, look at the Ace Think Tank in my signature.
it's ok..but
I realized that the phone is already in s-off.
in another Italian forum have advised me to use advance tool kit to take root.
for you is an intuitive program? can I use so I not expert?
Another question: where can I download it?
This program does not block the phone and only serves to unlock the root?
thank

Hack kit is retired. Signing to this forum you agree to follow the rules...then do it. Read the stickies and the guides available. Besides you have another post saying that you want to unroot....
