Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is a DHD question but more of an Android question but here goes.
I've tried searching and googling a solution and have finally decided to seek help from people in the know .....
A long story short I have changed my home launcher to "Go Launcher EX" as well as installed their iPhone notification bubble widget (so that a number appears over FB, messages Phone apps etc). So I now have no need of dragging down the status or notification bar.
Is there a way of stopping this and removing the notifications that flash up there ?? The time would also be good to remove as I have a clock on my homescreen (however one problem at a time).
I am aware there are ways of manipulating the programs running the phone similar to doing it on a PC however I do not have a clue how to do this and would probably brick my mobile.
I am currently rooted and using Leedroid custom Rom
Looking forward to hearing from you guys

What happened? I use my alarm clock everyday..and today it disappeared. I downloaded Alarm Clock Extreme at some point, cause I read that people had problems with the alarm function disappearing, but I didn't have a problem till this morning. What gives...and how do I get it back, without wipping out the phone?if there is no fix..then I will just keep using the program I downloaded in case of emergency
Thanks
AJ
I know the OTA 2.3.3 update broke a lot of peoples phone (including mine). What ROM are you running?
I dont know but in my incredible 2 if i touch the big clock i could see the alarm and the weather.if you dont have the big clock you can go to personalise and you can find the alarm clock. I have skyrider rom.
If you have rooted your Inc 2, and using titanium backup, you can get the clock back by going into the backup/restore section and scroll down till you see clock.
click on it and hit the the defrost button. Restart and you will have your clock back.
If not rooted... Sometimes a hard reset will work, but it will be like starting all over again with your phone.
It's an ongoing issue, the app is still there but the icon disappears. One easy way to get it back is to download Any Cut from the market (it's free) and use that to create a new shortcut to the clock app. Once you do that, the icon will be there to stay, it won't be affected by whatever bug causes the app's original icon to disappear.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I am running a stock from. I haven't done anything g to the phone. It was working after the update, but all of a suddened it stopped working.
This issue was brought up a while back on XDA here. And is also being tracked on HTC's own forums here.
From the looks of it HTC hasn't yet released an update :-/
hi all, I have the HTC One X from about 4 months and i've this following problem:
When I open the Sense running app menu (by pressing the multitasking softkey), if I'm going to close apps with the swipe up, sometimes disappears the background and also the status bar. After about 10 seconds back completely normal.
I state that this happens with all launcher that I've tried and also with the various custom ROM that I have installed (Viper, Ordroid, Blade, etc ...).
It's very strange, i don't know what may be the cause of this problem.
I hope you can help me thanks.
p.s. sorry for my not perfect english
Hello everyone!
Although this is my first post, some of you may (highly unlikely) remember me as "WaterMan" , I created a couple of ROMs way back in the HTC Magic days
However, I am here to ask some questions about Beanstalk running on my SGS3. It is Build 4.3.07 running JB 4.3
So far this ROM runs great and I love it. However there are a couple of quirks I wanted to work out
1) Is it possible that when I pull down the notification panel, it will show me my notifications immediately rather than the "Profile" panel? I find it extremely annoying that when I pull down the panel, it opens up those toggles and I have to switch to notification view every time, a real time-killer
*Edit* Answered: Apparently pulling the notification panel down from the LEFT side opens notifications, while pulling it down from the RIGHT side opens the toggles. Still cannot figure out how to edit which toggles are shown, if possible
2) Is it possible / how can I add or remove toggles from the pull-down panel?
3) I am having issues with signal dropping randomly, is there any way to fix this?
and finally 4) How can I remove some native applications? I used titanium backup but it does not seem to work
Thank you all! Other members, please feel free to ask questions and answer them relating to BeanStalk's latest build!
My wife got a new Fire Phone running FireOS 4.6.6. I rooted it, installed Google Framework and Google Now launcher. At least most seems to be working quiet nice (still some things bug me, like Facebook not working, you can't install Amazon Underground, etc.). Concept of many things is nice - but often not brought to an end..
Now, I am stuck with a problem where I couldn't find an answer (at least not one I can accept, hehe).
When I receive a notification from e.g. Whatsapp or Telegram, it won't show up as a symbol in the notification bar. When I drag down the bar, I see the stuff like "Message received" etc. But it won't show me something when I am looking at my home screen or the lock-screen. Can't you see with just a short look that you've got a new message? Do I always have to pull down the notification bar?
Even system status messages aren't shown. When I connect the phone via USB to PC, a stock android shows me this neat little graphic that the connection is established. With FireOS - nothing
Read this thread here and tried this NotifierPro, Floatify, etc.
But it's not as small, fast and nice as the stock android thing.
The thread there is almost a year old, so has something changed lately? Any way to use the notifcation bar like I used to know?
Or maybe there is a nice Xposed module??
fire os does not support status bar notification's icons

Click to collapse
What a pity..
Any way to achieve it with an Xposed module? I think the icons could be done in an overlay or something, or is this no alternative?
For the moment I am using Floatify.. I think it just takes some days to get used to it
Hi - I just set up a new S9 (AT&T). I installed my apps and went through some out of the box software updates so its now running 8.0.
Last night I noticed that when on my homescreen my Status Bar is now gone. It comes back if I open an app or go into the Apps drawer, but I cant see it from any page on my homescreen.
I can still swipe down from the top of the screen to get to the settings shortcuts, but I cant see Notifications, Battery, Signal, etc from any homescreen pages.
Its actually making me crazy - was hoping someone might have some thoughts on how to remedy this?
Thanks.
Hi after trying all morning I finally solved this - I found a lot of other posts outside XDA struggling with this issue so just wanted to update in case anyone else is having this problem.
I was using a picture as my wallpaper. For some reason this was making the bar invisible (or somehow the color changes to blend in to the background completely?). I changed to a Samsung stock wallpaper and it was visible again. I then changed back to set my picture as the wallpaper, and now the status bar is still visible...
Whatever - dont know why, but it worked!
