You didn't have the rugged, I can tell you the Rugged case started arriving about a week ago and the sku was added to our inventory about 3 weeks ago.

I actually bought one today. Well I got the "Innocase II Combo". I thought it was a Seidio knock off, but the quality it really good. Looks and feels just like my friend's. Except it has "Pt" on the back instead of "Seidio"
So are they made by Seidio and rebranded as Platinum for Best Buy?

Yup, it's a new product we carry. Sporkman, I can guarantee you don't have it. It's really durable... hard case with a silicone over it and a hard "claw" goes over the silicone. And of course there is a holster. I put my EVO in it and threw it 20ft onto to hard floor. Completely fine, great product! They run $50. Don't have the SKU on hand, I will post it here tomorrow when I go to work if it hasn't been posted yet. I don't think its on bestbuy.com yet either.

haha i did the same except i didn't put it in the holster...on a dare cuz i showed my friend and he said: "if its so rugged, throw it" so i underhand tossed it at a tree about 10 ft away. In hindsight if it had it the screen i would have been borked hahahaha. Good product

I'm sure I've seen this already from someone on this site... but that sounds like one huge case.... the seidio innocase surface is a little bulky for me.

I have this Pt case. I paid 47 dollars at Best Buy in Daytona Beach, FL 3 weeks ago. It's like a hundred cases in one. You can either just use the slide on case so you can use the kickstand, or you can put the rubber case over it that covers up the headphones and charging and hdmi ports and camera and then attach the claw to it. Then if you want you can use the holster which I use as well. It's awesome and it does not feel like a cheap ebay knockoff. I have always been picky with my cases and when I found this at Best Buy I was so happy. There was one left and I snagged it.

must be some confusion, sporkman stated that he bought the pt version of the rugged at Best Buy on or near the EVO launch date. This is what HTC6800 was referring to.

Wish the pics were better so I could see what it really looked like...I cant quite make out the pattern on the back. Looks like a weave look near the top, not sure if that carries on down the entire back or not. Any one have a link to pics with better lighting, or even better...a video? Thanks for sharing, it looks nice but not sure if I can spend $20 for just a silicone case....

Mine is sitting at home on the counter, my wife just sent me a picture of it with her phone, but she has an LG Lotus Elite, so I'm not really sure if you want to see that, haha.

I bought the Commuter....meh....it's ok. Got my Impact today and I think I've found the case for me. love it so far.
I like the case. It's pretty much what i've been looking for in terms of having good protection without the bulk. I'll try to post pics later.

it's thicker than your normal silicone case but I think the Seidio (I have the Surface) makes the phone bulkier. The impact at least is more form fitting and doesn't add as much bulk. I will say that the Impact adds more screen protection than the Commuter. You can lay it face down with less worries.

Does the impact case collect lint and dust like the commuter?

How deep does the camera recess look, since you have it would you mind looking from the side?

Just got home (late night at work) and LOVE it! Great case, I had the body glove case till it broke around the volume rocker. This case solves the button area issues perfectly. My wife also really likes the way it fits and looks, so it's not just me either.

yep...not sure what the other guy was referring to wishing it fit tighter. It's snug. As far as lint, I haven't had a silicone case that didn't collect lint in the beginning. Then after a few days lint is usally not a problem.

I have the exact same one on my evo 3d, I had one on my mytouch 4g. I really love this case. Plus it has texture grips on the side which will make this thing less slippery I'm glad to see they made it for the E4GT

hows the bulk on the case? is it about the same as the typical tpu case?

The case protection is great but I find the buttons very hard to press with the case (on my Nexus). The case material is too stiff to press the button.

Had this case for my nexus too. It was not for me but maybe the problems were just for the nexus

I'll let you know when I get it. Not sure if it will be different since the e4gt is much thinner. on my other devices it was the same as any tpu case. not bulky but not paper thin. The grip sides is what I really love about it and the difference in textures in the back gives it some added grip. The case does feel very nice in the hand.

When I had it for my mytouch 4g the buttons were really hard to press as well but I didnt mind that because that just meant I wouldnt hit them by accident like I always did But the one on my evo 3d while they are still a little harder to press they are much easier to press than the one that was on my mytouch 4g. Some people just use an exacto knife and cut out holes for the buttons it's very easy to do and since the case is so cheap, you can do it, mess it up(which you would have to be retarded, drunk or stoned to do) and not feel guilty about it.

good find. the only downside i see in it is that its coming from Hong Kong and will take 20-30 days to get to you. hope you are safe with your phone and dont hurt it before then. good find for 3 bucks but for 5 bucks more you could have ordered one from TPU-cases.com and received it in 2-3 days, with a free screen protector.

Looks pretty nice. Almost ordered one but ships from out of USA...

Just got mine. It looks sweet on my phone. I like the fact that you get both textures on it, matte and gloss in a nice design. The grips on the side are a nice and useful touch. The cutout are spot on. The power and volume buttons are not a problem. You can push them in with ease. I ordered it on the 28th, shipped out on the 29th, and received it on the 4th. Can't really complain about shipping from China when you get it that fast. As long as customs doesn't stop it you should have it in the same time frame. Very happy with this purchase and for only $2.90 it makes it even better. I would definitely recommend them.

[Mini Review] Case-Mate Tough for your Epic 4G Touch!

Just giving everyone a heads up, I preordered my case mate tough a couple weeks ago from theaccessoryking.com and just got my shipping notice It's still marked as preorder on their website oddly enough with today (10/7) as the expected release date. I'll type up a short review once it's in my hands.

The mini review-
This case is awesome, a lot better quality than I was expecting to be honest. It adds some bulk of course but a very negligible amount, especially for how well it protects your phone. If anything it just makes the phone feel more substantial in the hand which is a good thing IMO. It is still very pocketable, I keep it in my left ass jeans pocket pretty much all day and it doesn't make me walk funny at all! The plastic shell has a great rubberized ("soft touch") feel to it which just adds to the quality of the case. Overall I am VERY happy with this thing, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great case with more protection than the oh-so-popular TPU cases. I even like this thing better than the Seidio Active Limited that my EVO 4G rocked all the time, and I LOVED that case (even though I broke the tabs off 3 separate shells). In short- BUY IT and thank me later

It adds some weight but not much. And if you look at the pic I posted it'll show the bulk. Again, not much at all

With TPU-cases.com case: ~0.480"
With Case Mate Tough case: ~0.580"
IMHO, the added protection the Tough case provides far outweighs the bulk that the case adds.

I ordered one from theaccessoryking this past Sunday and it still hasnt shipped, he is sold out out(even though the web site doesnt say so ) and now he has my money and hasnt sent my case

I ordered mine from amazon and I must say that I was disappointed with it. I ordered a black one. The innner gel case was pinkish red. When I put it on the phone, I couldn't get it to fit into the outer case. Anybody else run across these issues?

The holster that came with my Seidio Active case works perfectly with the Case-Mate Tough. In fact, that's my set up at the moment.

Got my Tough today...
Suffice it to say, the TPU is going into my desk drawer and will rarely see the light of day again
This case is as good as it gets out of the current selection of et4g cases

I personally love pouch-style over cases so in my opinion, this fits well and is great. Only thing is that I rather have a fabric like the one that came with the G1 over this leather feel. Amazon seems to sell them for 29.99. I can't post links so please search for

No, the sleeve from SPG is tight enough where if you held the pouch with phone upside down, it won't slip out. Thats with the naked device.

I have the original G1 case, along with this and they are both equivilant...where are you getting your info from?
In fact, I can't find any difference at all...makes me think that HTC may have contracted with that company to make the original g1 sleeve

the vendor I get fromis every_sell
i have been getting pouches from them for almost every phone i've had.....I can't find a difference at all...
I once bought a pouch for them and was about to give them a negative review because they state OEM....i emailed them saying I was going to give a neg review due to them stating OEM.
They told me that htc actually contracted with who they get the cases from to make it for the g1...so all they do is redesign it for the new phones with the same material and build quality, hence stating OEM
i would have given them a negative review it was cheap and flimsey...but It isn't....it is a little deceiving they state OEM when it isn't, but the build quality doesn't suffer, so i dont mind.....if it did, i would have given them negative reviews

Hey question for you guys who own this case. I've been reading up on reviews for the crumena (mainly on amazon) and there has been some complaints about the case actually scratching up the phone. The scratches are mainly on the side and more specifically the back of the phone mainly due to the ribbon.
Are you guys experiencing the same problem??

christian, I didn't even get a days use out of the case. After fighting with it to get my S3 to go inside of the pouch, I ended up having to use a razor blade to remove the stitching as the S3 was stuck inside of it. I was reimbursed by SGP.
