I would flash THIS kernel via Odin. Then, hold volume ^ + power until you see the splash screen appear the second time...then let go. Should boot you right into CWM. Or, you can download an app from the market called "Quickboot". It has many reboot options including "Recovery".

I try to root my phone samsung SGH-T999V s3 of videotron. I use the method of this post: SGH-T999V Canadian GS3 (CWM + ROOT + CM9).
I had to redo the step with Odin 3 times to finally restart the CMW recovery. I remove the battery and finally I succeeded. I install ClockworkMod touch.
Now the problem is that I am unable to restart CMW Recovery mode. I tried the method of Vol + and Power Menu and the method by writing terminal emulator su, boot recovery and also ROM manager. It does not work.
Each time it is the stock android recovery which starts
I do not know what to do to install CyanogenMod 10.
I have read many post but I do not know if my phone is compatible with the other method.
Can you help me please
Reflash and take the battery out faster. ODIN will say it's succesfull and then the phone will overwrite it so the only way to know for sure is when you go into recovery.
Battery pulls are unnecessary. Delete or rename these.
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
Reinstall recovery with rom or goo manager and reboot recovery.

Thank you to both of you.
Now i can go in the recovery but i have a new problem.
When i try to install Cyanogen 10 it make me an error: (Status 7)
Installation aborted.
And now i don't know what to do.

Ok, you do need root first to delete those files. Sorry for misunderstanding earlier.
Reflash your recovery with odin like before but make sure you uncheck suto reboot.
After complete, unplug and hold the power button untill it begins restarting. You need to be quick but as soon as the screen goes off, immediately press home and volume up while still holding power. Itll take a few seconds but after the blue text flashes at the top of the screen let go of power but keep holding the other two till you get recovery.
Now flash superSU or superuser and reboot.
Now you should be able to delete those files and reinstall recovery with goo or rom manager.
Im going by memory so you may want to get another opinion first. But I think you should be good.

First, I'll admit I made a mistake. I installed the wrong version of Gapps when I install CM10 and therefore the phone wouldn't boot to setup. However, when I attempted to get back to stock to recover, the phone now gets stuck at the 4th boot screen with the pulsating Samsung. I can only get to Download mode, but I can't seem to get back to CWM Recovery. I have tried reflashing CWM Recovery with Odin, but I still can't get anywhere but to Download mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are stuck and can't get into recovery than you'll have to Odin back to stock there are stickies in these forums on how to do that.
If you can get into recovery and you are just not using the right button combo (vol up + power + home button) than flashing the proper gapps and wiping cache and davlik should fix the issue.

I have attempted to flash back to stock, and Odin reports that it was successful, but it still returns to the same point in the boot sequence and hangs.
When I use Power + Home + Volume Up, I get to the precursor screen for the Download Mode, not CWM Recovery Mode.
Any suggestions as to another way to force my way into recovery mode? I assumed that would be my way out, but I can't seem to get there.

Ok unfortunately I decided to root my LG and obviously thats was my first mistake. I was reading xda about how to root my LG Optimus G. Well i found a thread that talked me through it but I decided to take the short and download freegee from the playstore. And needless to say in the middle of it backing up someone decided they felt the need to call me. I didnt answer the call but it went back to downloading the recovery. When it finished it said it couldnt find the files. Long story short my phone worked for 2 days before it decided that it was gonna be deactivated and i no longer use my phone unless its on wifi. I talked to sprint the tech told that basically everything is gone and the biggest part thats missing is the radio and if i could recovery that or flash a new one then I have buy a new phone. Can anyone please please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying:
do you still have recovery installed? try flashing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176186&highlight=radio

It sounds like you still have stock recovery. You'll need to use LGNPST. All the info and links are here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43983721

Which bin file did you use? Zv9? Or ZVB? The demigod thing is nothing. Just reboot. If you can get into recovery, do a factory reset. You might lose everything tho.

Go to recovery. Still do the factory reset. Are you sure you used zv9? If that doesn't work, in the teeny bin thread download the original one. If you can also put a ROM on your SD and flash it.

OK. Let's start from scratch. Shall we?
Go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43983721
Install LGNPST and download either ZV9 or ZVB bin. And run it.
This should get you up and running. It includes the modem also.
Edit. Zvb is the most current. But we can make either bin work.

Ok now that make my phone able to make calls and send texts and have data 3g/4g. Cuz after i tried rooting the phone the phone lost service and in settings under phone info everything but the ICCID is all 000000's. So does this change things.
I tried flashing a mms zip and now I cant get back into recovery when I pull the battery and press power and volume up/down. It just vibrates again when I release the buttons and tries to boot. Then the phone gets stuck at the boot animation. I have a nandroid backup on my sd card but I cant get to it since I cant get into recovery. What should I do?
I think you forgetting to hold down the home button (Volume up, home button and power button).

It does not. it will reboot once after it tries to boot in download mode, the goes into normal boot. Does cwm have a download mode? i can get into CWM recovery, so if CWM doesent have a download mode i think that would explain it. how would i finish the root if it didnt fully root?
If you can get CWM recovery, just flash the SuperSU package. You can find the thread with a quick search, but the files are available through my Sig. Or you could flash any of our roms as they already have root.
That is odd though...
