Hi there! I just flashed CM6 RC2 and its great! What isnt so great is, that I can no longer use my sense widgets! The clock looked awesome. The contacts app and the dialer were great too!
Is there an option to flash some parts from sense with an update.zip and if so, can I still use ADW launcher which comes with CM6 or isnt this possible?
Im sure CM is Stock Froyo and not sense, which means none of the Sense stuff is installed. You would need to use a Sense rom to use these.
OP try Fancy Widget for the clock. Although you may have to search online as HTC had it removed from the market for copying lol.
Also dialerone with the light theme is close-ish to the sense dialer.

The thing is that I want to use CM but with sense.
It would be even better to use CM with the ADW Launcher.
Can you please point me out to a thread where I can read how to cook such a rom?

Google Fancy widget and try that.
Try DiallerOne for the dialler.
If you use Launcher Pro then there are sense style Calendar, Bookmarks, Messaging and Contacts widgets with that.
The HTC widgets depend on HTC Sense. No HTC Sense = No HTC widgets.

There is no replacement for HTC friendstream, news, message or mail widget and especially not for the album and direct Facebook sharing.

Fancy widget is okayish to replace the clock/weather widget.
I also installed and already purchased Launcher pro a feew minutes ago cus it is simply a great app!
The only thing I am missing now are the sense contacts and the sense clock app.
I know that I cant use the widgets with Launcher Pro but is the following thing possible:
-flashing a sense rom
-use Launcher Pro as launcher
-use sense contacts and sense clock? I am not talking about the widgets but about the apps?
Will try this out tomorrow but maybe you can save me the hassle if it isnt even possible

no, even if u have a sense rom, if you use launcher pro or any other launcher, then it disables sense and you cant use any of the sense stuff.

Any way to "connect" other weather apps to the original HTC Sense Weather app?
I am using leedroid 2.3d but with launcher pro and deleted all of the HTC widgets and the Sense launcher. The Rom is very fast and stable, and i have a very nice battery life, but im very dissapointed with most of the weather altertives. I really misss the original sense weather. Is there any way to connect one of those apps to the original weather app, so it can get sync from it or when i tap it to open the sense weather app?

Is there any way to get the actual FriendStream app working in CM7? I know about Launcher Pro Plus widgets and similar programs like Pure Messenger Widget, but I'm curious about getting some of the actual Sense apps working.
Any tips/advice appreciated!
short answer is no. sense apps/widgets will never work except on a sense base ROM, and CM is aosp.
best thing you can do is find replacement widgets from the market.

You cannot use Sense widgets without Sense launcher.
Gingersense 4 has xperia launcher, so it us useless to leave Sense widgets in rom, you cannot add them to screens.
Dowload from market apw (android Pro widgets), there are also nice ics skins (not for free).

I have a shipped rom 2.3.6 odex with sense 2.1 unlock, rooted and S OFF.
I was wondering if any of the devs can import HTC Messaging app and widget from sense 3.5 since it nicer.. (it has different colors for the sent and incoming messages in the thread)
