EDIT: Thank to @rashkae
Indonesian indosat & singapore starhub using proxy at default in APN settings
Just delete the proxy, and viola! All web page rendered perfect!
I had a similar issue when I was using the default APN that my telco in singapore (Starhub) gave me - it was garbage. I removed the proxy settings in the APN and it works sooooo much better.
Ok, I'll try
maybe we are same, because I'm using indosat - starhub , and using proxy from apn too....

Flashed rom to JACKOS lite everything works fine now

I want to connect 2 or more apn at a time like we can do it in nokia s60 phones, in this if we use multiple browser it'll ask for selecting apn and continue without disconnecting previous one.
Clear example:
Suppose if i connect to an apn called - internet
Now, without disconnecting this internet apn i want to connect to another apn called - net
So, is it possible in Android..?
I dont. Thnk. So...

I have T-mobile Galaxy S3 T999. I unlocked it and now using it outside US with different carrier. It runs the pre-loaded Jellybeans OS.
It works perfect on wifi. However whenever I am connected to 2G, none of the instant messaging works! Internet browsing works on 2G however whatsapp, Google Talk, FB Messenger won't work! I used to use same SIM card (with same provider) on iPhone 3GS, and everything used to work fine.
What could be the problem?

I doubt it because web browsing works fine. E.g. FB app works but FB messenger doesn't. Gmail does but gtalk doesn't.
solved
I rooted the phone, removed all tmobile apps ... the problem still persisted ... I installed a custom Rom - Cynagenmod ... and the it is working well!

The problem is either that you need to setup the proper APN in the phone or if
that don't work you need to get your phone unlocked if it's not already unlocked.

Thanks for the reply but the problem is solved. It wasn't related to APN. I was able to browse internet but only messengers weren't working (like Gtalk, Whatsapp and so on). with the custom ROM, everything is working fine on 2G connection.
Hi guys.I've wanted to ask is someone having problems with the internet sharing on the HTC 8S?
I have this phone almost a year and in the first few months it was working all fine but since then i can't manage to share the internet over it.
It is enabling like it should and all the devices are connecting to it without no problem, just can't go to the net.
Can someone give me an advice where could be the problem?
Thanks.

Check setting of internet APN. Suddenly, mine has been changed to wap APN. Changing back to internet (no user and password, no proxy, etc.) solved this issue for me.

When i put "internet" on the APN field i don`t even have a connection on my phone. When everything is left blank like it was in the first place i have the problem with no tethering. So this is not working for me.Lucky you.

Tethering should only work if proper APN setup is done. If these setting are empty (as you said), then tethering cannot work. That is my experience, too. Check which APN you are subscribed to, or which APN does your operator use for internet access.
Unfortunately my operator currently does not have support for my HTC 8S for the APN's.I'm stuck with no setting's at this moment. All the fields are blank and everything is working just fine only no tethering. Can I somehow copy the setting's from my friends Galaxy S3 who has tethering option and it's on the same operator?

You only need to put APN name, usually "internet" is used for internet access.
Ok i think i fix it now.I will try later with my PC at home and see if it can connect too.I've tried with another android device and it has connected without a problem. The problem was in the apn parameters given from my Operator.I've found them on another site and it looks like these are the correct ones.Anyway thank you a lot for your efforts.
If i have any further problem's I'll post it again.
Take care.

I'm using rooted stock ROM. And whenever I refresh memory (fast reboot pro), network gets disconnected and the active APN's proxy automatically gets set to 10.10.1.100 and port 9401, and network reconnects. When I used another APN with proxy 100.1.200.9 and port 8080, this proxy is now getting set in all other APNs. I checked another phones with same operator, but their proxy wasn't getting modified. To double check, I switched to internet on 2nd sim, and APN of second sim also got modified.
I've been using fast reboot pro from 3 years on my galaxy S and since a month on canvas 4; but this problem started just yesterday. I scanned entire phone with kaspersky mobile security, but nothing was detected.
Please help!!
