I'd really love a transparent status bar and navigation bar. It looks like this has been done here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1388554&page=12
Unfortunately this does not work on 4.03 and in addition there are differences between LTE and CDMA so the mod would need to be LTE specific in my case.
Does anybody know of such a mod that exists? I've searched high and low. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat.
It does exist. I am running 4.0.3, and mine is transparent.

Thanks for the statement, now you mind sharing the info....gotta screen shot, where's the mod? I assume you're running the GSM version?
me wantz this too.... !!!!
Works for me on 4.0.3 - you need to put in some work yourself if you dont want the percentage battery, tho. ROM needs to be deodexed afaik.
Frysee, Is that a flashable CWM file? and does it work with LTE/Toro Nexus? Thanks in advance... Realy looking forward for this mod.
Will this work on revolution HD 4.0.2? Also can toy flash it through cmw?
Would love to know if this works on the CDMA nexus as well, specifically running Axiom 2.4, with battery percentage and search button in nav bar enabled
Is there something with only the clear Navigation bar? I dont want to mod the status bar
does this work on gummy rom?

doesn't work with GSM AOKP as well. lost notification and navigation bar
I'm on milestone 2 and it has softkey mod also. Idle on rootzwiki did for me. He is awesome. He has others posted too with softkey mods built in you should go look. He may be able to custom make one for you like he did me. Here's a pic.

softkey mod is easy as long as you have the PNGs.
hmmm. maybe the notification bar and navigation bars are also just a couple of PNGs?
can anyone point me in the right direction? I think I can do this myself if I know which files to replace

Idle has then built into one mod. So get the transparency plus choice of different softkeys. You can ask him how he did it.

I tried to do the mod with apk multitool and decompiling the systemui.apk myself last night but I kept losing the nav bar and not bar, then I tried to do Idle's mod and I still kept losing them despite it being built for AOKP m2, so if you figure out if its just a png replacement let us know!
I been at this all night; couldnt get it going at all...just kept losing everything. And here I thought I just didnt know what i was doing. Let me know if anyone figures it out.
Thanks
Any way of getting these in the status bar without putting on CM9 or something?
Thanks guys
Also, what do people recommend for the themes for stock?
For a stock rom you'll have to use Widgetsoid: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ed_apps#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLmppbTIiXQ..
Not the most intuitive app to set up, but once you have it set up, it works well. It can run in your notification drawer.
There are basic AOSP roms that don't have a ton of tweaks that have notification toggles, without stepping to far out of the box.
Another vote for Widgetsoid.

It's native in some roms. AOKP, and Vanilla Rootbox have it for sure. ParanoidPreferences in a few other roms allow you to change the launcher's status bar transparency.
Sorry, if you want to mod whatever rom you are using, I don't have any info for you.
its in the tw-framework.apk i think (if on aosp its in the framework-res.apk)... do you know how to modify it? btw it wont look right when you open an app since it will stay transparent.
If you flashed *DaRTHSTALKER S3 EDITION VERSION X1 on your phone, you can get the systemui.app from here.

There is no way to do it only for the home screen/lock screen?

well there technically is... but someone smarter than me would have to add a function to the files where when you opened an app it went to the original color, then when you left it back to transparent. (rather difficult IMO)
it would be similar to the way the s4 is going to be and what miui already does

I believe it's relative to the launcher and ROM you are using. For example, on AOKP ROM I can hide all the toggles or I can have them hide when I don't need to use them.
If you are using stock or stock rooted, the option is probably not there. It's also possible a launcher could help out but I'm not quite sure. I really think it's relative to the ROM.
Helpful tips to OP... No one answered you cause of a few things; your title doesn't attract well. The post has no good info for us to help you at all. Take time in posting things, don't just rush to ask, other wise you get nothing.

Is it possible to make it so the status bar is on the bottom of the screen?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Bump

That involves editing a lot of code. Have you ever decompiled any apks before? You could start digging around in the systemUI apk. It might be pretty difficult but a cool project.

If you want to do it manually, check out THIS thread. Or you should be able to do it with Xposed settings. Check out the thread HERE, and also THIS one.
