He helped me to unlock the bootloader of my xperia arc so I could use the 0% battery patch, it's easy to unlock it with him.
Best regards
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Hi you all.
I've been looking around google and Xda forum but I haven't found the answer I'm looking for...
Is there anyway to unlock bootloader for Arc s after 2011 releases?
I've seen at Sony Mobile site the method they are explaining there but my bootloader unlock allow says NO.
Also if there is no way to unlock my bl, is there any other that I can flash custom kernels into my device?
Thanks in advance
Can anybody make s1tools for Arc S??
Hello everyone, i recently bought a Sony Xperia S, not new, but almost .
Some history...
I came from an motorola atrix, then i bought an Xperia Play, then this Xperia S and it feels a little strange with the locked bootloader .
So i went looking what i can do with this phone, i rooted it, i upgraded it to ICS, then installed cwm, then installed XZXperience, it looks very very good!!! i love it, but i really love the aosp look and i want to feel the full JB experience, not just a part of it =(...
Sadly the bl on my phone is not unlockable and simlocked aswell. I saw in other posts that if i ask for the simlock code it may or not make my bl unlockeable, that is true?, what i should do in order to get the bootloader unlocked? there is any hac-k or something like in the atrix is? if i call to the carrier, what should i ask them?, the bootloader unlock key ?
Thanks in advance, from A-R-G-E-N-T-I-N-A!!! i really like how this section of the forum is moving!!:good:

Hi Everyone,
I've been recently doing reading on my phone Xperia Arc. I had originally received it from Rogers (I think 2 years ago). It WAS a locked phone but I unlocked the bootloaded and rooted it and now have custom kernel and rom.
Here is the question though.
When I used Ominious to unlock my bootloader (only way to unlock it since it was rogers branded) it also gave me info about my phone and it says that my chipset is MSM7X30 !!!!!
So I did further reading and I read that the Arc should have come with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 Snapdragon - WHAT is the MSM7X30 all about!!!???
Also - if I go to 'settings>apps>running' to view my ram between my used and free I have a total of 356mb ram!!!!!
Wasn't the arc SUPPOSE to have 500mb?????
So does Rogers have some sort of scam going on - giving people phone with the wrong 'guts' or am I misunderstanding something?

msm7xxx and 8xxx are the same chip. and some ram is disabled for the camera and the system. everything is alright with your device.

Thanks! That is good to know! I thought I had a conspiracy on my hands! lol. Thank you for clearing that up for me! I wish the phone WOULD just show the ENTIRE RAM and just show where it is all allocated .

Hey guys,
when trying to unlock the bootloader the official way, I get the error message
"Unfortunately, your device(Taiwan , (TAIWAN) )does not support unlocking the bootloader."
LG support has not responded yet, but the message indicates what their answer will be.
Is there any way to get the bootloader unlocked other than having LG send the unlock code?
I found several threads all over the internet with people describing the same problem, but no solution was posted. Since all those threads are from mid-2015, I was wondering if anyone found a solution by now.
If you find a solution , please let me know .

its clear enough to me... you cant.
and theres no other way.. yet... maybe one day it will.. unofficially.
I asked this a month ago with no luck.
There hasn't been any real progress on having an unofficial bootloader unlock since august/september of 2015.....
It's almost a year since anyone has really talked about it. I don't think it's ever gonna happen :/

Of course I meant an unofficial way when I wrote "other than having LG send the unlock code". Anyone working on that?

I asked the LG developer support. All they replied so far was that by company policy, they do not allow models other than "European market" to be unlocked at the moment.
I answered that I am not satisfied with this "policy" and that I'd like a reason for them to block customers from their freedom of choice what to do with their devices. No answer yet - will post here when I get one.

More people need to ask their developer support program to make an official unlock for the bootloder...this is not a one man job we all need to participate in this all those having TAIWAN H815 models..
Is there any way to at least gain root access on these phones? Mine is running software version "V20c-TWN-XX", which is Android 6.0 with security patch level 2016-01-01.

LP yes. but i seen 2 different post claiming root on MM with locked bootloader.
It's easiest to just downgrade to Lollipop via LGUP. Though it still took me a while to find the right pre-rooted image to flash on my phone.
I just completed the process of using LGUP to rollback to Lollipop v10c, and then rooted it. Surprisingly I was even able to get Xposed framework installed with the bootloader locked. I guess the only thing I'm really missing is TWRP, but I can live without it.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

not so sure ... but LG has removed the team the worked on past phones and eithe has a new team or will be not making any more phones. .... g5 sales arent too good...
I've the H815 V20d-TWN-XX 6.0 MM with sec. patch level 2016-06-01, and as I've read, no way to unlock bootloader for this model, so frustrating.
I was hoping at least to find a way to have this particular G4 version rooted with the bootloader locked, does anyone know how can this be done?
Been looking for a solution but haven't found anything so far, I'd just flash a previous version but some people wrote in other threads that this 20d has noticeable battery improvements...
So any help with, as for now, the best way to go to get root access in this device, is very much appreciated. I've been trying to do this for weeks
Thanks!
I am assuming with the boot loader locked, there is no way to try out any of the custom ROMs here ....what a shame as I wanted to give lineage a go

There may be an unofficial way.

Read the OP carefully and be fully aware of the risks and limitations. steadfasterX is working hard to overcome the locked bootloader situation and has had some success to-date using his own version of Lineage with testers.
