Hey guys looking for some xda reviews. I'm looking for a new game and I came across reckless racing. I want some opinions from those of you that have tried it. How does it play on the evo? Worth a purchase? Thanks!
Hi guys, I know that most gameloft games were designed for higher res devices. But I was wondering if you guys know of any that are playable on the slide? I can attest to Oregon Trail and NOVA being playable on the slide, and have tried to play Hero of Sparta and that COD knockoff game, but couldnt click on any of the buttons on the menu due to resolution incompatabilities.
Has anyone tested any other gameloft games on their slides and can give me their results?
I just ordered my new xperia play, should be with me in a few days...
Are there any games such as tekken/mortal kombat for the play?
Also destruction derby/GTA Vice city and any other good car games?
Thanks guys & girls...
Ps. Best recommended emulator and best games available for it?
best PSX emulator is FPSe my experience, also SNES EX. My 2 must haves. As far as Xperia Play Games, I spent a ton of time with Gun Bros, pocket legends (both free to Play). Also Gameloft makes some quality games. For RPG Eternal Legacy is quite fun. Just to name a few but here's a link to the complete list of games which may also help you.

Thanks for that quite, handy...
If I was to get the iso for tekken on ps1, would that work on my xperia play with the FPSe emulator? Can games also be saved onto the memory card?
Is there GTA 3/GTA Vice City for the Xperia play?
Thanks once again.
no problem, if you have the iso FPSe seems to be the most compatible so without guaranteeing it I will say that it is highly likely to work. And GTA3/Vice City were ps2 which the play is not powerful enough to emulate but i'm pretty sure gameloft has a gta style game called Gangstar that i'm failry certain is Play optimized. And yes iso games are stored on the SD Card. Which if you are like me and go iso crazy (some games ranging between 300mb up to 1.8gb (FF7 3 discs)) i would highly recommend upgrading your 8gb SD card to at least 16 if not 32gb.
Yeah, 8gb is the bare minimum, 16gb or 32gb would be the better choice.
I'm just getting some classic games as we speak. Some include Tekken 3, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Twisted Metal 3, Street Fighter & Donkey Kong Country...
If you want to go oldskool all yongzh's emulators are still free over @ slideme https://slideme.org/user/3168/applications/3168. Megadrive, Snes etc. Use google for the roms.
Thanks Mozza2k11, I got the Nintendo 64 emulator for games such as street fighter and donkey kong.
Also downloaded the Sega emulator for streets of rage 3, mortal kombat, etc...
Then theres an emulator for ps1 games, either the psx4droid or FPse emulator.
After doing some research, some people say the psx emulator is the better one, others prefer the FPse emulator.
Which one should I go for? Which of the 2 have the most stability, stable constant performance & most importantly reliable and would I be able to save games?
Psx4droid is discontinued P. O. S
FPSE is way better

Haha, ok, will try the FPSE emulator tomorrow hopefully should my Sony Ericsson Xperia Play arrive!!
Will let you know how the FPSE emulator is soon...
Or you can use the playstation pocket app with psxperia.
Use FPse, it's loads easier to setup and manage. There's a whole thread about people stating their favorite/best games for PS1. CHECK IT
Old topic, I know.
But best one's IMO:
Asphalt 6, NFS: Hot Pursuit, Dead Space, Minecraft PE (As long as it gets new content and more good updates).
Im a bit picky and havent bought that many games
Gameloft makes some quality games, like modern combat 3 and asphalt 6.
Then emulator n64 and psx
Hi, has anyone tried the NDS4Droid emulator yet? I wonder if a quadcore finally has enough power for smooth gameplay...
i saw post on other forum that tegra 3 cant handle it also, and problem not in phone power.
There is no source code for NDS so too hard to emulate any feature of it.... and even on PC not exist normal NDS emu.
and what about Tiger NDS? http://apps.tigerplay.info/
anyone tried it out?
not wish to even install it... max 2 fps in games not worth any attention
Many videos on youtube with that...

I've tried with the Galaxy S3 and Ace Attorney, it works at a normal speed, but without touch emulation (you have to play with the virtual pad) and without sound.
i was just wondering the BEST DS emulator that anyone has played with on a xperia play, not the best one youve heard of, one uve used.
i want to play pokemon soul silver but the game was really slow on dsdroid.
are there any with a good playing speed?

I haven't tried any DS emulators, but I think it's probably best to leave that to an actual DS Lite or XL with an Acekard 2i for all the games you need.
I love the Xperia Play for GBA games, though!
I actually started revisiting my DS Lite usage, and bought a DS XL for cheap, and the Acekard 2i plays all the games on it flawlessly.
Edit: Sorry, the reason I say it's probably best to leave it to an actual DS is that our phone doesn't have 2 screens!
Too slow

I here DS emulation is a tad slow on all devices. And the guy above's comment is true too. Keep looking!, and let us know how it goes. Also have you tried installing a custom rom to boost up the speed of the emulator?
Ive tried dsdroid and dsoid. Pokemon is slow on both for xplay but it runs a little faster on my nexus 10. But with tablets it stretches out the game so both ways are no go. On xplay all ds emulators are slow. I've tried at least 3 or 4. You'll need a higher end device and even then you won't be able to play very smooth and without sound. But maybe within a year it will work better since most new devices are a lot more powerful
