That seems hardware... is it consistent on all screens/apps ?
Find a app that makes your screen (NOT THE LED) a flashlight (mainly, pure white screen). See if you can still see those bands/areas.
Also, most of the times, they can have other colors instead of white, like pure red, green, blue, and yellow, cyan, magenta. Test to see if it's consistent.
If it is, and it's still on the warranty period, return it.

this problem is only with the blue color in the screen , with the other color i don't have problem

I think that it is hardcoded into the ROM and cannot be changed easily. As a workaround you can alter the dialer background so the headphones show up. I used to edit the background image and place a white or blue circle at that point so the black icon will show up - I am sure posted those images somewhere so let me know if you want them

Why isn't the notification bar black to? wouldn't that help also?
yeah. thanks going to work on it now
It is my understanding that with a LCD screen that is back-light (such as your phone, and any LCD screen that I am aware of) black is harder on the battery because it has to block the most light from passing through the film. Therefore, you are having the opposite effect you desire, white would be the most efficient (or some other bright color) as it has to use less energy to darken the screen and can allow more of the back light to shine through. But I don't know everything...
i see...... i will create an all white theme for you guys than
But black looks better! My phone is decked out in black and blue, white would be god-awful to look at (even the stock grey is obnoxious). So, I say, continue on your quest for a black based theme, but instead of calling it energy efficient, just call it black.
Check this article out for some details to the power usage differences between CRT's and LCD's.
its funny... i have an all black background some apps and i turn my brightness all the way down to have it as dark as possible... mind you i have a white g1... haha
i see.. i will change the post's name if i can.... i create custom themes if you want me to create a theme just for tell me maybe we can work out a deal

can i return the "quality" back to my phone?
thx for helping...
do you have this issue with your display or with pictures you take using the integrated camera?
It kind of looks like a low color depth.
Do you have this problem with every dark area on your phone? Does it appear on plain black screens or only if you have a gradient in a dark colored area?
I have had a similar issue with the background image in the HTC Music player background which disappeared after installing the REvolution-Theme
I having those issues everywhere. .. and now
i noticed that on very bright images too...
Even at the clock apk background where
There is a gradient blur behind it.
But no display issues on surfing thou.

That's over-brightness...
probably exaggerated gamma. Easily done on a computer... Due to the exaggerated gamma, there's a uneven flow of colors, hence the color banding you're seeing.
i dont think its over brightness because at the stock rom i didnt get the display issues.
i must say that the display issues are more effective with gradient dark colors...
That, my friend, is not an issue of the ROM...
i only said that it was happening just after flashing the rom [rom kernel radio etc...]
on the stock rom, without all rooting\flashing roms it didnt appear.
here are example taken from my desire hd:

Do full wipe and install again.
do think the problem is on the rom flash or karnel flash?
on the first time i did a full wipe + run the "easy wipe tool "

[Q] Wrong color

Hi, I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy SII T989. I have a question regarding the screen color. When I turn the phone on in Download Mode, the colors are expressed fine and correctly (White is white, green is green, etc...) but when I install any rom through ODIN or CWM, the color are off. I would see this yellowish tainted color. Any one have an idea about how to solve this problem?

There is a way to test the screen colors and diagnostics.....Here's a way to find it on YouTube...I can't post links since my post count is low...
But search this exact term in youtube
Samsung Galaxy S2 Secret LCD Test Menu
Good Luck!!!

Best color calibration for cm12.1/cm11

Hi i was haveing problem with screen, i looked at other amoleds and spoted that our is sooo redish so i tryed to change it to become like my s3. i succesed with it. White is white green is greed and blue is blue. So far best colors.
All you need is to disable Live display, set gama: 4 red 0 green 9 blue then dowload kernel adiutor from playstore.
In it you need to change display color to 280 red 292 green 350 blue. Reboot phone and thats it!
[Root is reqvested to change colors] IM NOT RESPOSIBOLE FOR ANY HARDWERE DAMAGE!!
Have a good day :highfive::good::good:
Definitly looks like a improvement to me, even though on my phone it doensn't matter much. Thanks, man!
