Ok the HTC YouTube has been been update will add changes as soon as I can.
Edit: ok it's been mangofied, more stable, and faster loading. So far that's all I can see.

How and why do people use it? Do you just open it and start looking for videos or what?
I'm not trying to say it doesn't make sense, just being curious - I only use YouTube when I encounter videos on web sites. Am I missing something important?
Yea if that's hat ur looking for.

Mine also updated.
Great news for HTC phones!
Can someone make it clear for me, why isent there a Official Youtube app?
because idiotic google didn't provide MS with the proper APIs needed to make a good YouTube app, they wanted to integrate it in the music+videos hub. to lighten things up a bit that MS YouTube app now opens to the new html5 page which works really well.

Currently using the Incredible, but Windows Phone 7 seems really awesome. Microsoft says devices will be ready for the holidays on Verizon, and my wife just said Merry Christmas...so I wonder, should I?

It's hard for us to answer that question without a little information on how you use your phone. Personally I had to sacrifice some functionality coming from Windows Mobile but for me it's well worth it because the overall experience is so much better with WP7.
I really like the idea of xbox live gaming, netflix streaming, and office being built in. I do use exchange, want some form of tethering, like apps that use my camera for things like augmented reality and bar code scanning.
I have multiple gmail accounts, multiple live accounts, and work exchange. On Android I can have these all setup with active-sync.
This is just a sampling and given how young the platform is I would expect to give up some things I have return use too.

I highly recommend an HD7. They come with sound producing front grills at each end. There is a lot to like about WP7 but right now it is a little shy of features. That will change as time goes by.

Syncing all your various email over the cloud is no problem although you have to have a seperate tile for each account, no tethering yet except by hack only the lg phones have any sort of augmented reality - this is version 1 software - I like it and will stick with it but some features are missing
I have tried all three main phone OS's and even though there are a lot of missing features, I prefer Windows Phone 7.
What about DLNA streaming to my xbox? I'd like to browse and beam multimedia from my phone to my xbox. I don't want to navigate with my xbox. What about video?I hate that .3gp isn't supported by the xbox or ps 3. I thought I read that they shoot in wma right?

Wp7 uses activesync for hotmail and exchange, and google has google sync. It supports multiple activesync accounts. That isn't a factor. Activesync IS microsoft technology, you know.

Its really a nice gadget to have, fast smooth but you may feel the lack of some features which you are already familiar of. If you have the extra cash to burn then go for it, just dont expect WP7 to satisfy all your 'techy' needs.

battery life for me seems on par with my hd2, not great, not bad. Depends really on screen brightness and how much you use the device.

I think only the lg's have dlna streaming right now, seems like if one supports it, it shouldn't be that hard for all wp7 to support it down the road.

Seems like my HD7 is getting better as time goes by. It's definitely better than HD2 running Android.
I may have to hold off since Dish released their app today!

Just downloaded it from the Market and damn, the best browser just got even better! I'm loving the new UI!

I JUST uninstalled this browser for something called maxathon or something. Guess I'm going back to dolphin xD

Recent update helped, but 5.0 is refusing to load every few pages. Seems like a pretty widespread thing looking at the reviews. Hope they fix it soon!

Nope, it "alleviated" some of the loading, but 4.6 is still much faster. They'll work it out eventually.

No kiddin'! It's really nice! But it's not displaying some pages properly and it isn't recognizing/converting pages like ESPN.com into the mobile version.
It's a great alternative to Dolphin HD though! Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, the only problem, and the reason I stopped using Opera, is that it doesn't parse Youtube links correctly, and it's amazing how many of those I realize that I run across now that it doesn't work right.
I'll give Dolphin 5 a shot, using Miren right now. I just wish these stupid browsers would have HW acceleration like Opera (seems) to have. Everything is just so slow and choppy. Not sure if it's my live wallpaper that's doing it or not, but it's annoying.
Great

Cool. Thanks.
Opera Mobile for me. The pure smoothness and speed is unparalleled.
Interface-wise, Firefox is tops though. Too bad it's way too slow

Turned the "mobile view" setting ON, and somewhat works for that site.
Just tried seems like it loaded some sort of mobile page, but looks like its missing some graphics elements, not sure how it is supposed to look. Anyway, screen big enough for me to use full site, i basically hate when something forces to load the mobile site instead.

Hope they make a WP7 App, too, but at least there's an Android App. That will be nice, Lol. Just as I was actually starting to give Spotify a bit of consideration!!!
There's already a WP7 Rdio app.

From Rdio? They don't have it listed on their website. I dint tend to use third party apps for stuff like that...
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yep. Just do a search in the Marketplace for Rdio.
And why post this in the wp7 forums if you don't think there is a WP app? There is, btw, published by rdio, btw.

Because if there isn't one, I want one once this launches?
That's pretty simple... Really...
I'd never heard of the service before I read that. That explains my ignorance of their app, and since I tend to use my Vibrant as a daily driver (hence the tag in my post) my HD7 was in another room and I wasn't about to get out of my bed just to check that.
The CNN app for android tablet is not compatible with the N7. I found an apk in the Viewsonic G Tablet thread but I'm not sure what version it is and that info doesn't seem available in the app either. Here's the original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13048857&postcount=9
Does anyone have a current version to share?
Thanks!

Want this bad!! its crazy- cnn for phone isn't compatible either, what are they thinking I mean the nexus 7 is the most popular android tablet (with market) and they have no support for it.
also the economist app has the same issue.
I had emailed them about this months ago and this is the response I finally got:
"Greetings,
Thanks for contacting CNN! We appreciate you taking the time to send in your suggestion for the CNN app. I will put this suggestion into our mobile development team for consideration.

Dave

I don't mean to sound overly critical but... why not just use RSS? Ever since Google Reader, I no longer understand why anybody would prefer to manually open each website to check for news, when Reader does that for you...

This is actually a far better idea: I tried side-loading the CNN app off of my Galaxy SIII and it looks terrible. You're better off reading the articles on the Web through Chrome or through an RSS reader such as Paper.

There is a cnn money tablet version that does feature news(can configure what news you get. Albeit it's a bit more focused to the financial side but delves into other news topics.

Very confusing coz I have it installed and works good. But for sure I have a little problems with permissions this app request. Why the video player application needs ability to "Redirect outgoing phone call"????
