[Q] MIUI Titanium backup problem - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I just flashed MIUI build 1.9.16.0 to my Dinc2 (did a full restore from a cyanogen build) and titanium backup is saying I dont have root (of course I do) I tried updating busybox and super user as well as fixing permissions in ROM manager but it still wont let me use it.

*fixed*
sorry already figured it out, just forgot to reboot after fixing permissions, seems to work fine now sorry!

You have to go into the superuser app and allow for superuser access, for whatever reason that hasnt been on by default.

titanium backup + damagecontrol 3.1.2 wont restore apps

Running DC 3.1.2 and a netarchy's 5 pt multi touch/fps fix kernel, Paid version of titanium backup.
I've fixed permissions
verified backups
installed app, apps + data, apps + system data
When i attempt to restore any app i've backed up on the sd card via titanium backup it wont restore them. It goes through, acts like it installed but when i reboot the phone and do the above mentioned things it just doesnt show up...
I should mentioned i came from stock rooted EVO 4G 1.3x ROM
Anyone ever heard of this problem before?
bump, anyone?
ANother thing its now doing is i was able to get the apps to show up in market, however they show as installed... until i click on the app then it asks me to install it.
Friggin weird.
anyone at all?
That's a weird one. I've been using Titanium quite a bit lately with no problems. You might just have to wipe and start over. Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling Titanium? Its also possible there's a problem with your SD card. Do you have another one you could test with?
Did you go into settings / applications and put a check in the unknown sources box?
.....
Frank...
yes unknown sources is checked.
SD card as far as i know has no problems, ill try with a new one.
Thanks for the info.
im having the same problem. i have unknown sources checked, reflashed a couple times, and have even re-rooted. it works perfectly in both fresh and OMJ, but DC just fails. if you install the apps manually and then do a restore of app+data, it will restore the data properly, but it fails when you try to install from the backup.

Same problem here...Fresh, Calkulin's EviO, Baked Snack, and Toasted Delight ROMs have all been able to restore just fine using Titanium Backup.
It's too bad...I really wanted to try DCs ROM, but I'm not gonna go through installing all my missing apps and setting up all the screens again.
Has anyone found a way to fix this yet?

Just make a nandroid backup, wipe, and try out DC 3.2.3 yourself. 99% chance everything will be fine.

The problem isn't loading the ROM. I'm able to install DC after doing a full wipe...it seems to be the only ROM that causes problem when trying to do a full Titanium Backup restore.

[Q] [HELP] Superuser app, NO root access

Ok here's my problem.
I've been playing around with a ton of ROMs lately. Which means i've been doing a lot of backing up, restoring, nandroid, you know the drill. But once I restored my nandroid backup today and tried to access ROM Manager to install a ROM, it won't boot into recovery automatically. This also goes for every other root app. Wireless Tether, Root Explorer, Titanium Backup, Busybox, etc. I removed all superuser permissions that were contained inside the app to see if that would help, but sadly, it didn't. But the thing that confuses me is I boot into HBOOT, my phone is still S-OFF, and I can get into clockwork recovery just fine.
My device is the HTC Incredible Stock Froyo firmware with Hydra kernal and Clockwork Recovery 2.5.0.5
Any way to fix this???

Unrevoked 3 but no root access!?!

Hello,
I rooted my Desire with Unrevoked 3 with the recovery-RA-desire-v2.0.0.img. Everything goes fine and the program said: Done.
When I reboot I have according to Titanium no root access and my sd card is not found anymore.
What did I do wrong?
when you find the SuperUser app in the applist your root is well done! if not try again with unrev...
which OS did you use?

I find the SuperUser app in the applist but when I start up Titanium Backup, It tells me I'm not rooted. In HBOOT is says: S-On
I use Unrevoked via XP, and I installed the special drivers.
Then rooting was a success! You have to apply all root apps superuser rights. Check in superuser app if titanium backup are listed correctly. Or click in titanium backup on problems and then settings. This will install the busybox. Reboot and try again. Good luck

Thanks for your reply,
I have an superuser icon and titanium i listed correctly. When I click on problems in Titanium I've downloaded a program that I can't download. It is not Busybox.
Now I installed Gingerbread on my Desire but now I can't have access to the phone with Unrevoked.
How do you mean downloaded a program you can't download?? Btw is that prob only at titanium ore on all root apps? Some time ago I've read something about the prob with titanium. I'll look for it...
Greez VA
you've installed gingerbread? The official gingerbread? . Hmm..
As for titanium, wipe it's data in ' manage applications' then start it again, making sure you allow super user access (the first screen)... You only have ten seconds to do so.
you can allow or forbit root rights for each installed root app in the superuser app. ive tried it with titanium and get the fc: sorry no root rights titanium cant work without etc...
I also searched for the article i talked about but found nothing, sry!
Hope you doesnt flashed the official Gingerbread ROM.
Btw: rooting under Win is very buggy...linux is much better and incredibly faster for this => highly recommend
maybe a superuser app update helps...

[Q] I think I've unrooted my phone?!

I installed su-3.0-beta4-efgh-Sense3.5.zip which is something to do with superuser ... I think, by accident. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250815)
And now, when I access Titanium Backup or any other app that required root, it tells me that I'm not rooted or that something went wrong with superuser.
Please help, how can I reverse this?
Many Thanks in Advance
Kanay
nandroid? Reflash rom? Common sense really.
about superuser
Check your permissions in the superuser app options/settings and make sure titanium has su permission. If you dont have a superuser app, then you lost root. If you do then you do still have root, generally. Also make sure you have some sort of busybox installed, ive noticed that sometimes having a bad busybox or the beta busybox forces me to use the "force system busybox" etc options in titanium backup to work properly.

Root access disappear??

Hi guys,
So I was previous rooted running a custom ICS rom, with ktoonsez, etc. Tonight I wanted to try out JB, so I saved a backup in CWM and then installed a Jellybean stock rom for my carrier with "root injected", All of this worked totally fine in Odin. Afterwards I used Odin to re-install CWM, and that worked fine, I then rebooted into CWM to install the 4.2 Camera/Gallery zip, THAT worked totally fine.
I've since rebooted my device and it seems that root permissions has totally disappeared. The 4.2 camera is still there, I can't get into CWM, Superuser is still on my device BUT it has no apps listed. And Titanium Backup and SetCPU cannot detect root.
Any ideas how to restore this? Kind of surprised that it would just....disappear even after installing CWM and 4.2 camera zip.
