[Q] Android Revolution Video Playback - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there , recently i just updated my phone with the latest android revolution HD ROM . But i had encountered a problem with it . I have a problem when try to play any HD video . Please have a look at my youtube chanel (mdarul94) . Its kinda hard to explain here..I am not allowed to post any link at the moment.
So any idea about it ? I don't think it is a hardware problem because when i flash to the older version of rom , it dont have any problem .
P/s : i have done the battery take out , wipe out , reflash back but still failed .

Hi, I had this problem at the beginning. Solved it by reformating the card. Take note: Please backup or try another card first, as I am a noob and I do not want to take responsibility for the lost of data

distortion with recorded HD video.
I've got the same problem, seem like its only on recorded HD video and when its rotated and set to best fit, as if you switch to full screen the distortion goes.
Tried a different sd card and formatting my current one, this didn't fix it for me.
Don't know if its a bug with 6.1.1 thou.

ive got the same problem i just dont know how to sort it out ,ive tried reflashing rom, wiped sd card but still same problem

unfortunatley it still exists in the latest ARHD 6.1.2 its quite annoying hey?

same here nothing has fixed it yet.

[Q] Leedroid crashing

I recently rooted my Desire a couple of weeks ago and installed Leedroid. I also partitioned my SD card using ROM manager.
Is there a well known problem with Flash or something running this ROM?
My phone seems to crash a lot when using Dolphin Browser and viewing flash on websites. It basically restarts the phone and I sometimes get a picture of an android up with some writing in the bottom right corner which looks like it says crash or something.
I'm sorry if I've missed a similar thread but any help would be appreicated.
cheers

using leedroid for a while and never had this issue, if your flash version is 10.2 try downgrading it to 10.1
I love LeeDroid!
So am I!!!
ok I'll give the flash a downgrade and see how it goes. Does anyone know what crash screen I'm on about?
Hi
I had the same issue. The phone crashed when i used the default web browser.
Restart to the phone seems to help but after a day ot two the problem returns
I'm getting the exact same problem and couldn't work out what it was until I noticed it happened when I when on some websites.
Like you the phone would lag and pressing saying messages would take it about a minute to load up and the only thing which would sort it would be rebooting the phone.
I was on Leedroid 2.3b so yesterday I put 2.3d on and the problem was still there.
I've just put 2.3b back on wiped my cache and I'll see how that goes but I've just been on the same websites and it hasn't crashed so I'll see how it goes and let you know then might downgrade to 10.1 is it still occurs.
EDIT: Just went on a site for flash games and the phone froze then rebooted itself.
I've had the same issue with redux gingerbread rom when using the default browser, with both flash player 10.1 and 10.2.
Its not specific to leedroid.
Posted telepathically. Oh yes.
I recently installed LeeDroid and have been experiencing a few problems myself. Not exactly rebooting, but a slowdown which forces me to reboot the phone myself.
COULD it perhaps be a problem with A2SD+ and using EXT-partitions on a class 2 SD-card? I mean, running a lot of flash-content with the Flash Player installed on the EXT-partition would be slower than running it from the phones internal memory, right? I recently tried watching an online TV broadcast as a flash-video and my phone completely froze while TV sound was still running. And my SD-card is class 2
I put 2.3 d back on my phone and then went onto the marketplace, then to the flashplayer and uninstalled the updates.
This for me has fixed it and it hasn't crashed as yet having tried on lots of flash sites.
You can also see from the flash 10.2 comments on the market place that a lot of people are having issues with it.
how do you downgrade from 10.2 to 10.1?????????????

[Q] InsertCoin 1.1.1 A2SD+ Stock HBOOT crash - hangs

Dear fellow Desire owners,
i really like my InsertCoin rom but it's getting on my nerves lately. It crashes or hangs frquently. I see the lockscreen but nothing happens except when I pull the battery.
This has been happening more and more. Sometimes I notice my phone has been hanging for an our or so. I then have to remove the battery to get it working again.
I first thought it was the radio so I flashed it with version: 5.17.05.23 but things are getting worse. This morning I had to use the navigation but it kept hanging. At last I reverted to a NANDROID backup I made a week ago.
My question now is: how can I find out what is buggering my phone? Is there a log or an app that can do some troubleshooting? Is it an app that makes my Desire so miserable? How can I know this? Please help me.
Thanks!
Go back to stock rom to find out if it's the rom. If problem persits, call HTC.
TouchPaled from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
Before you reflash again your Desire, you can check and format your sdcard.
Or change a new sdcard and faster speed.
If the same issue, it might be hardware issue on Desire.
Because I used IC ROM from 1.1.0 to 1.1.4, every version is so far so good.
So what you're saying basically is that there's no way of checking logs or troubleshooting or whatever?
So I did a full whipe and installed v1.1.3. Which went well for a week or so, but then it started crashing again on a daily basis.
I went ahead and bought myself a class 10 8GB sdcard. I just copied everything and did a nandroid restore. See if that works... And if that doesn't do the trick i'll try a full wipe and fresh install again.
Same problem
Hi,
I have exactly the same issue, could you give me the result of your experience with your new sd card ?
It's an old post but I would like to have an answer to my problem.
Thanks
All versions of insertcoin Rom were perfect... What class card do u use???
I use class 4... Works perfectly.....

[q] slow video, sound is ahead of video

Hi, i have recently flashed my htc desire hd with Android revolution Hd 6.3.1 custom ROM, here is the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
Everything is woking great since i have flashed it, except for the video part. Before flashing my phone could play vvideos of of any size say 200 0r 400 mb without lagging. But after the flashing the same videos do not play. i have tried almost all the known players, i have also formatted my sd card. other than that the Rom seems to have no problem. Could anyone please help
Figured it out, encoding was the best thing
Have you already tried reflashing. Because on an older Version, nothing like this happened to me. It should be enough without Super Wipe, if you already have done this at first flash.
Oops, I should reload the page, before posting.

Is this a battery problem? Phone Restarting

Hi,
I have just started having problems with my HD Desire which is running Mikes Revolution HD 7.0.4 ROM. It seems that everytime I get out of range of my wireless connection, the phone will shutdown in a very short time and then is impossible to restart. It will get to the splash screen and then shutdown again. I can however restart the phone in recovery and the battery will show that it has a good charge. The phone will also shutdown at various times even when my wireless network is available, but not as quickly or as frequently. I know that it isn't the ROM as I tried a different ROM (after a complete wipe) and the problem persisted. I was wondering if these problems might be down to the battery finally giving up and not being able to provuide enough current to keep the phone on and that searching for a network is putting too much strain on the battery. I don't know if this is a common problem, but any advice will be very welcome. I am using the recommended radio for the ROM and the phone has been working properly and well for nearly a year since it was hacked. Phone does work fine when it is plugged in.
Many thanks
Ian
Did you do a Super Wipe ..?
you can find it here http://goo.gl/hWSCt
What is your radio version is it 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M radio ..?
you can download it from here http://goo.gl/vdP8g
I think it is flashing issue.. and I recommend Android Revolution HD 6.3.3 for you because it is very stable ROM :good:
Before flashing a radio, exhaust all other options (that is if you don't have any experience flashing them). It isn't something to take lightly.

I don't think it is a ROM problem as I did use Superwipe and I had the exact same problem with two entirely different ROMs. Android Revolution 7.0.4 and IceColdSandwich 8.1.1. I have been running 7.0.4 since it was first released by Mike. Also the phone acts normally when plugged in (sorry forgot to mention that in first post).
My Radio is: 12.65.60.29U_26.14.04.28_M
Go back to your stock ROM and see if the issues persist. If it still does, then it might be a hardware issue...if not, find a custom ROM that does not do it..

Dont use the superwipe script. Do a manual wipe. Wipe everything.
Take out the sd card, use a different one or backup your sd card, wipe it, DO NOT PUT THE FILES BACK IN, just a new rom to try to see if problem persists.
If it does, possibly it's a hardware issue.
Try all the different combinations, could be either a bad file in the sd card or a bad sd card and so on or what was mentioned before.
