I'm thinking about upgrading from a Galaxy S to a Galaxy S2. It probably won't be with Sprint, since I do prepaid and don't think Sprint has such a plan.
But since Sprint has the US S2 out already, I thought I would ask about 2 issues I have with the original Galaxy S.
First the GPS on the Galaxy S has always been problematic. Is it better on the S2?
Second, the US Galaxy S has no FM radio, even though the European one does. Is there one on the US S2?
Not sure about radio, but GPS is significantly better

There is no avaliable fm radio on this phone, i have tried some apps from the market, but none work...
As for the gps, its NOT the greatest (not better than htc, motorola, or lg), it cant seem to find as many satellites... the ones it does find, the signal is never green, always yellow or red... BUT, it does find ur location under a minute, and works decently well...

This should have been in the Q&A forum, but to answer one of your questions, yes this phone has a FM receiver via the Broadcom combo chip that's in it, but apparently it was not activated. I'd venture to bet a custom ROM will get it working at some point though.

As you already know, WP7 is only available to GSM providers. Leaving out US cdma carriers like Verizon and Sprint. But there is a slimmer of hope for those under the Big Red. A few apps from Verizon had made it to the marketplace, such as My Verizon Mobile. Verizon is the biggest carrier in the US and may give WP7 the push it needs. Also may WP7 up to other CDMA carriers like US Cellular

If you're on Sprint, I think they are having some problems with Google Wallet that they're working on. Might want to call customer service and see what's going on?
I'm having this problem too. Praying it's not this:

Anyone else having this problem?
Seems to be working just fine for me... I just fresh installed the latest skankwich.

I was having that same issue earlier this evening. It happened after I restored my stock backup with which I have used Wallet successfully several times, and has always worked fine. I am on T-Mobile U.S. w/ Takju. Works fine now.
I don't have an old backup with Wallet working anymore since I didn't notice this till recently. I think I'm in the group with the broken NFC chip now. Guess I'll give Skankwich a shot
Nah, fix permission in CWM and report back.
You din't break your Secure Element.
Hi
I'm having issues finding a lot of things for my Gnex for Sprint.
My model number is an SPH-L700. I couldn't find an extended battery for that model number so I purchased one for the l515. The battery fits perfectly, the back cover sorta does...
Are all Gnex accessories for the l515 compatible with the SPH-L700?
What I'm currently trying to find is a replacement housing. Which I am having a hard time locating one for the SPH-L700.
Also, I believe toroplus are the roms for sprint gnex...and mine is lte, but also cdma.. a little confusing with all the different model numbers and versions...
Thanks!
Check my sig for getting rooted if you need help in that area.
And yes, toroplus = sprint.
As far as accessories...
The VZW ones should work.
Your phone has the same hardware set-up as far as size and port locations and such.
The GSM model is slightly thinner than yours.
Ok, I was going to purchase a VZW housing but I wasn't really sure.
Edit:
After comparing some of the pictures of the housings, some of the holes aren't the same...
When it comes to roms stick to the thread which says "Sprint Galaxy Nexus Android Development"

I know , I feel so blessed !
Somebody else posted this a while ago. I think its for NFC, as the NFC sensor is in that general area.
This is NFC logo
Or.... It's a fake htc m8?
Yea its probably nfc.
I can assure you it's not fake ?
M8y
If you look at the model number closes at the bottom of the phone, it most would be M8y.
The 2.5 Ghz variant.
I have this logo on my M8x too
Its definitely where the NFC chip is located so would make sense.

Well it's nothing bad, nothing to worry about
