First off I have a G-slate from T-mobile. I recently got a really good deal on a bluetooth headset from samsung (hm3700). It tells you to download the app FreeSync to get all the advanced android functionality. Sadly the G-slate is not compatible. I have two problems, either of which being solved helps me (not necessarily both). 1. I need someone to download the app and get the apk so i can download it and try to tweak it so it would work on my G-slate. and/or 2. Someone else find or make a modified apk of freesync so i can use it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Enjoy, if it works.
Good luck with it working. I was able to download and install it from my Nexus S with Android 4.0.4. However, while I would open it and didn't force close, it didn't recognize the HM7000 was connected to open the advanced settings. It did work correctly on my HTC Aria running 2.3. Not sure if they are going to be updating it for Android 3.x/4.0 anytime soon though.
Thank you! And thanks for the extra info it might prove to be valuable.

this is bs. I have a Galaxy s III and ordered the HM 7000 thinking of course a SAMSUNG headset, top of the line, would be compatible with their top of the line flagship phone the S III. I guess not. If they don't get Freesync updated in a few weeks I'll have to return the HM7000 as defective.
Yeah is a piece of junk software ...awesome that you cannot get a top of the line headset with a top of the line phone all from the same brand. It does not work with my Note either.
tnx

I downloaded the .apk and it runs on my HTC Evo View (stock Gingerbread) but how do I add a shortcut to the homescreen? The app is not listed in My Apps.
Hello,
Can you please upload the 2.4.2 version ? as i can't download it from play store. I have a SGS3 and HS6000 i hope it will work. Thanks in advance.
I was looking for an audio eq for my phone so I can adjust the software mid and highs so I can get cleaner sound with my jl w7 subs, however never found one. Seen power amp has a 10 bar eq but I don't wanna buy it just for the eq.
Anyways I found something like it, and it says it requires root, busy box, and s-off <---- my question is what is this because I've never seen it before as a requirement for anything.
Samsung SGH-i927:
CWMR Touch v4.0.0.1
Keyboard fix
Superuser 3.2r3 ARM Optimized
LiteKernel v4.1
S-off i believe is for htc phones, but i could be wrong.. it security-off for the system files..
I dnt think u have to worry bout it with sammy though..
All u need is root and busybox.

I have this app called tQuran in my Samsung Galaxy S and its one of the apps that came with the stock firmware.
Now what I've noticed is that this app only runs on Samsung phones, whether a stock or custom rom, as long as its Samsung it runs and its only available in the Samsung apps market.... yes you can google it and find the apk too but all are same that is the app wont work with any non-samsung devices.
what happens on non-samsung devices is that it installs fine but once you run the app it says that Device is not Supported and app closes.
So I was wondering if someone knows how to make an app that is like locked on for samsung be like unlocked so it could be used for other phones. (yes I know there are alternatives but seriously this is the best Quran app from all the ones at play store coz its small, no add. data and very simple etc etc)
looking forward to every sort of help
apk is attached..
apk mirror link: http://www.4shared.com/android/4Dqpr4BS/tQuran.html
This works on my custom rom : HERE
Market Unlocker Pro :good: Check it out
will try.. thnx
EDIT: @EwOkie
sorry man, the app you up'd didn't work on a non-samsung device
Hi there, am thinking of buying a Tab S...
Does the Tab S support Samsung Professional Audio (low latency audio) or not?
TIA,
S.
It appears not.....
Shame, as Android L implementation of Sound latency is still very poor.
Cheers, S.
Well haven't tested it yet but Samsung Professional Audio APk loaded fine. Not sure what app to test with though?

Samsung Pro Audio SDK is included on my Tab S with the 5.0.2 upgrade. (recently launched for Videotron in Canada)
I don't see Soundcamp in the Galaxy App Store though, and the Play Store version says not compatible with my device.
Using the latency test app from superpowered.com/latency, I am able to use the Pro Audio SDK and confirm I'm getting ~16ms roundtrip latency... so it's there it seems.
A few member here say that the free ViperAudio ia good, but installation is a bit more difficult on lollipop, never tried it my self though.

I remember reading this "Make sure your SELinux setting is permissive" for the equalizer, but as i said i have not tried it myself.

I consider V4A the best audio replacement for Android. Google should buy it and make it the standard. One person called it an eargasum and I agree. If your rooted then installing V4A is a must. With any of your video and audio apps you must turn off their internal equalizer or gain boost features so it does not conflict with V4A.

Does it offer latency advantages over stock?

I assume you are referring to adjusting audio when a video's lip sync is not perfect? I just checked under the V4A "Expert" UI which presents the most options and did not see anything that suggested this option existed. I then checked MX Player Pro and did not such an option either.
Got a response from Soundcamp support about the Tab S, thought I'd share:
Dear ----------------------,
We really appreciate your interest on Soundcamp.
We have a plan to support Soundcamp on Galaxy Tab S, but the exact schedule was not fixed yet.
We will do our best to provide it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your interest again.
Best regards,

It's supposed to once Lollipop drops. My Tab S 8.4 upgraded to lollipop today but I haven't been able to get Samsung Professional Audio installed. This sucks as I really want to run Amplitube on it.

Pro Audio SDK should just be part of the firmware.
Soundcamp itself has a DAW and some music making tools, but it's really just a portal to pull together other effects apps. The other apps should work on their own. You shouldn't "need" soundcamp for amplitube to work.. i don't think?

True, but if it can run one, it can run the other (Soundcamp, Amplitube). Also, Amplitube can function as a plug-in to Soundcamp which allows recording and other features. Although Amplitube doesn't require lollipop, most of the Android guitar interfaces that IK Multimedia manufactures list it as a requirement (iRig 2, iRig HD-A, etc...).
Anyhow, I would love to get Amplitube up and running on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
Updates?
Has anyone got anything working yet? On my Galaxy Tab S 10 (lollipop), I can't get the official Soundcamp from the play or samsung stores. Presumably it's limited to the galaxy note 4 only? Anyways, I did find an old 4.X APK, which installed and works fine against the professional audio SDK that indeed is part of the lollipop firmware.
However, without any additional plugins it doesn't seem to be much fun. Amplitube's Samsung edition doesn't show for me either.
Is this going to be one of those "wait for Samsung" modes? At the least they could drop the device checks from their Soundcamp app, since it works fine on anything that implements the professional audio SDK.

I'm starting to think it's going to be more like one of those "never gonna happen" things. Bummer, as I really want to run Amplitube on my Tab S.
Should be launched for Tab S in the next month or so... if the rumours I hear are correct.

Hi Guys,
finally i had time to upgrade from Stock OREO to Stock PIE.
I did the Backup with LG Bridge and its really weird that all lags were gone
On OREO i always used whiskeyomega´s sound mods, which, as i read, isnt working on PIE anymore.
So i followed this Thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/themes/magisk-official-stock-android-pie-t3971617) and added CineShot and LG Equalizer Magisk Module and Magisk_LGV30_AlO_Optimization_v9.4_DualSpeaker.zip
The only thing i realise after reboot, that HIM is always on with Headphones and i can see weather animations (have seen just sunshine, cause this was the weather today).
But i recognised, that Dual Speaker Mode seems not to work, i can hear just one Speaker.
Is there a possibility to check if everything went good? Or do you recommend ohter stuff for the best sound & performance settings?
2 other Questions to the new Stock PIE:
Do you recommend "de-bloating" somehow?
I used 2 ways back in OREA days, one was with Titanium Backup and the other App was something where i was able to stop each service.
You could get good performances, except you stopped some nessecary system-relevated services. Thats why im asking if there is a known tutorial maybe somehow or should i let it be?
PowerAmp: I use PowerAmp since years and i really love the usability and i payed for premium years ago.
In this Tread https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/themes/magisk-bring-24-bit-output-aosp-pie-t3900863 ive readen, that there are settings to make, to enable 24bit sound for PowerAmp.
Should i do this or do you recommend other music software for the highest possible soundquality?
And if yes, should i deactivate above mentioned Magisk Modules?
Thank you for your help,
Regards,
Ernesto

The speaker issue is discussed in the thread you linked to. It's the xml file that it replaces. It works for some but some others (like myself) had to use another. (available in the thread) Also, it won't work with Poweramp. It uses its own process that bypasses this. So check it with the stock music app or YouTube etc.
