[QUESTION] and [REQUEST] - Changing Pull Down Bar Toggles? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Is there any way to change the toggles on the pull down bar?
If not, I'm putting in a request for it!

BUMP! Would love to see this

I believe maddoggin will have this in his lockmod that he's working on. I know he did on the OG Epic.

I, too, would love to see this. I had this with CM7 on my Evo, and I never had to use a widget for my toggles. PLEASE PUT THIS ON HERE!!!!

Remember that fix I told you about that I was trying to accomplish today? Well I started it and it messed up my entire status bar and notification window. I have the GB battery with froyo icons, and GB notifications. The status bar isn't fully black but it's not transparent you can't see through it at all no matter how bright the wallpaper is. The notification window is all black which I also want to be transparent. It's like I did the complete opposite of turning it transparent and made it like a blackout theme lol which I didn't want to do. I'm going to put the notification bar toggles in there and send you the framework-res.apk in a couple minutes.

alright shouldn't be too hard for me to fix this
Here Is The Framework-res.apk
I also removed all GB from the rom because it was having to many problems to find out where the error is so everything is pretty much stock. Only thing included is 4in1 reboot, 4x5 workspace and appdraw, I was putting the hotspot hack in but I don't think it worked out but I should be able to fix that.
Edit removed old framework
Here is my new framework I haven't found any problems with this one. It has a 4x5 workspace, app draw, 4 in 1 reboot, power widgets in the notifications, and sprint hotspot hack. Next i want to change the dock from stock to GB, then after that work on the status bar.

[Q] Theming Question

hey guys, I've been looking for a tutorial on how to change the notification bar, and I haven't had any luck yet.. Right now I'm running RandomROM w/ the Ace 1.1 theme. I'm looking to change the notification bar to that white Froyo notification bar, and those icons. Thanks.
Basically, what I'm wanting is that basic stock theme. That, or the MyTouch 4g one. Thanks.
bumpity bump bump all across the hump.

[Q] Remove battery icon?

Is there anyway to remove the battery icon from the task bar on top???
i know jugg have the rom control where you can hide it. but since im switching over to a differnt rom i need to know if theres a .zip file that could do that.
im used to using miui battery bar. but i dun need 2 battery icons...
Thanks,
There's a paid app in the market called ROM Toolbox that can change your battery icon. It works with every ROM I've tried so far.
If you want to really customize it and don't mind having something else running on your phone all day you can try Super Statusbar as well, it comes with a built in MIUI bar.
Both come as free versions so you can test them out first.

okay, thanks man
Some of the icon changer won't work I've noticed you can only change the symbol if it has the symbol in ROM toolbox

I don't know what you mean? How would you have 2 battery icons? You can use uot kitchen and make your own battery
The MIUI battery bar runs horizontally across the top of your screen above your statusbar, so to have a second icon IN the status bar would be redundant in the OP's eyes.

Yea but the OP would have to modify some smali code which isnt very easy.

This worked for me. If you can decompile/compile smali, it's easy to edit.

[Q] remove battery and clock in status bar.

Well basically as the title says. I'm running Calkulins E4GT v1.3a ICS and i would LOVE to be able to get rid of the battery and clock in the notification bar. I know that in Cyanogen they have a simple option to remove it. Does anyone know of anything I can do? Thanks in advance.

Flash any AOSP from and you should have the ability lime you said. Or try to Google it, since there are SystemUI tweaks that can be done but unsure if it can be implemented in ICS. I made those changes in GB.....

yeah, i've done the same thing when i had my Evo4G to change "SPRINT" to whatever i wanted in the lockscreen. But I just don't want to mess with anything im not 100% sure of.

[Q] Any ideas on getting Honeycomb status bar icons/app icons?

Call me crazy, but I really dig the look of Honeycomb, from the apps to the WiFi icon to the font.
Any tips/ideas on getting any combination of the three? I know there are themes in the Play Store... ignoring that though, maybe I can take the Honeycomb source and copy the icons from it to a JB ROM?
I'm mostly in it for the font, if anyone could help me get that on my Nexus, that would be swell!
You could try ROM Toolbox by Jrummy and change your status bar icons. I think it has them in it.
I just realized Google never released the Honeycomb source... I know they didn't initially, but I thought they had in the past 2 years... D'oh.
...But thank you, JRummy's ROM Toolbox let's me get Honeycomb status bar icons! Sweet!
