i think im having problem with facebook inside, which is when i drag and drop app icon on top home screen to share it, it says connection error.
is there something wrong or somewhere i need to setting so it get to work.?

#1,plz change the subject, highlighting the key issues.
It is not just the problem facebook may be,seemingly could through Bluetooth, SMS, e-mail and other share apps.

Mine is unlocked and I can share apps.
Only syncing contacts with pics etc doesn't work after unkocking. It only syncs birthday and email now - not 100% about email

Now it works fine. Im not sure how and why. Maybe i deleted some system apps once i restore everything seem app share are fucntional now.

Interesting found. Once i installed weather widget the sharing app works. But once i delete it, it ahow connection error. Im thinking why is that... Im not sure it worka dor you guys. But it worka for me.

Prob solved by reinstalling weather widget, n need games and apps application too, or else it wont post on fb even though u can post it..
Btw, anyone knows why there is connection error on games and apps application? Mine having that problem...

Does this version work with dialer or does it have to be modified like aosp had to be to work with samsung dialer?
It is a great launcher having the speed scroll through pages with swipe on the bottom too bad the widgets dont have any options.

Doesn't work with the samsung phone app. Doesnt let you log onto facebook using the Social widget. Everything else worked pretty well.

The email app doesnt work too well also i mean doesnt show the last emails u have to add the account to see it

It may be in the manifest of either the launcher or the phone app. I will have a look after.

I see in your signature that you are running eclair rom unless u changed to froyo.This app is only for froyo.My app launcher is ok without lagg.
sorry but Im on froyo JPA if I hit app drawer my progs loading about 3 min I have 80 app's instaled

Just to be clear, this only works with Froyo. There are some problems with speed and reliability issues as this was pulled from the Streaks upcoming 2.2 update.

This problem is related to my gf's Gio, and she's driving me crazy to solve this
Well, a few days ago I flashed a CM ROM on her Gio, everything ok, Gio is great and so on, but her facebook app stopped updating the feed and she can't comment or send messages to anyone, she can only put "Likes" on the first feed page.
I thought it could be a problem related to the rom, flashed the adrenaline ROM and the problem remains, I unistaled, cleared data and unistaled, nothing happens.
Can anyone give me an idea?

Uninstall the facebook application. Reinstall, try if it works.
If that was the case, my apologies to him. No disrispect was intended.
Anyway, on my first post I mentioned that I already did that: "I unistaled, cleared data and unistaled, nothing happens."
use an alternative facebook app, the normal one is slow, buggy.

+1 - Facebook apps sucks big time. Look at the comments on market, most of them are negative. I'm using FriendCaster, it's pretty fast...
Well, I tried the older version of facebook app and it is working.

None of them works for me in cyanogen Rom.

Damn, the problem returned even on the older facebook app. Suddenly its impossible to coment and doesnt update...

Is there any facebook app with chat? (without the official) I know that there's a facebook chat app, but she would have to use 2 apps intead of one.
I'm using CM9 Beta 8 and I do receive FB updates and feeds, but when I click on a post, the post is blank.

I've had this problem on every single rom and even my other android phone, the sidekick 4g. I've bee using myalbum for the past month or so , but I prefer the Facebook app uploader, any solution ? Seems that many people are having this problem.

Still can't get it to work, I'm pretty sure nothing is wrong with either of the phones, i tried a 3g slide also and it didn't work. Could someone maybe give me like a step by step thing for maybe security settings? I don't see any relating to the fb app, also looking at the apps settings, theres nothing that says facebook for android.

It works just fine with other devices. I thought it could be setting in facebook but it works everywhere but on my SGS3. And I think problem started after the last update of the app.
Agree, I have latest Rocket Rom v7 on my Galaxy Note and I get same error with the latest Facebook update. It's cleary a program error since I can upload pictures to Facebook with FaceUp!
I think this is really frustrating and I hope that FB will fix this.
Works on neither of my android phones. Desktop works of course, maybe ill try from a non android phone?

What carrier do you have? if its simple mobile, i experienced this problem, and had problems loading facebook/browser.
I deleted the proxy in my simple mobile APN settings
Working now!
I have T-Mobile , but I don't think that matters because it doesn't work on either wifi or 4g

Try to change visibility settings when upload a photo.
Try clearing app data in your applications settings for the app.
Nope didn't work, and for visibility , I can only change the visibility for individual pictures in the mobile uploads album , unless im missing something?

I don't know the fix for this, but for alternative tool you could use the Instagram app and it's doing great job posting pictures.

I use myalbum to upload pictures and It works fine , kinda used to it now, I was just hoping that I can get the actual fb app to work

same issue
i always thought it was a network error because restarting the phone usually worked but i was at the races in watkins glen this weekend with a full 4g connection on all areas i was in and it wouldnt load anything. restarted pulled battery i even tried differant albums and differant camera apps i tried everything it would not upload a photo. So after this weekend i believe its a facebook app error and really needs to be looked into

The old update used to work on my wifi in university, which has a proxy server. This new update now shows as if I'm not connected to internet when on that wifi! Anyone has the same problem and or knows how to fix it?

i am also in uni, what i do is open a browser first and go to any site, then the proxy should intercept it and ask you to login.
once login-ed, then open facebook again.
Yep, finally, no more HTML5. From now on, I expect it more smooth and as good as the iOS version.
This Facebook 2.0 is not smooth on my S3 running WANAM LITE Rom. The scrolling is not smooth. I don't know about you guys but my connection is only on WiFi and I am able to use the app.

Just open events on your facebook.
and then export to your gmail calendar,
