Finding ringtones in root explorer - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Can someone tell me where they are? I would like to add a couple to the list so I can choose them from my setting menu. Thanks!
Samsung Galaxy S II

system/media/audio/ringtones
use the other folders under 'audio' if you want to use them for notifications or alarms

Thank you!

#1: not 100% sure on that one. Possibly try the solution below, but with a picture.
#2: clear the default ringtone chooser if set, then try to set the ringtone again. Once it asks you which app to use, select whichever file browser you have, not the default ringtone viewer. From there, just navigate to where your ringtones (mp3's) are and select it. You could possibly shorten that up by just opening your file browser and selecting the ringtone and setting it as a ringtone/notification tone straight from there. If you don't have a file browser installed, get one from the play store. ES File Explorer, Astro, Solid Explorer(my go-to browser), etc...

[Q] Zooper widget - Shortcut Direct Call

Direct call shortcut does not work added to the picture. Other shortcuts are working without problem.
Ideas, advice? Excuse my English. :crying:
thank you.

I can confirm this on my Nexus 4. I'm not 100% sure but my theory is, that because Zooper doesn't have the "CALL_PHONE" permission it is not allowed to initiate a call without going through the dialer (Source). I have no experience in this but since even launcher have that permission, it might be needed for an app to use the direct call shortcuts. You should probably write an email to the developers and explain your issue.
Emailed Zooper Dev
I've got a rooted Galaxy Note 3, is it possible to edit any file to provide this permission until the dev sorts it for us?
In the meantime, I've created a flow in Automagic, that I launch from the Zooper widget to provide a direct call option.
Mark.
Re
Somehow I do not understand. Could you provide the download?
You need an app called Automagic https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.gridvision.ppam.androidautomagic

Another option is to just change the icon to something you want. Upload your out image or use some icon that you like. I use Nova as my launcher on my Galaxy S3 Progre, created a direct call widget, and then changed the image to what I wanted it to be. Just a work around if you're interested.

Note 7 Notification Ringtones

Does anyone know how/where to find the notification ringtones on the Note 3? I would like to make Harmonics and Dribble MP3s and put them in my Note 7. The notification tones in the Note 7 are short and not very loud. Don't really like any of them. Thank you.
Try Zedge.
Create a folder called "Ringtones" and put whatever tones you want to use in there. When you want to use them select media storage in the menu that pops up and they'll be there. You can do the same thing with notifications or alarms by creating a "Notifications", "Alarms" folder. By doing this you can back up those folders and then move them to you next phone and you instantly have all your favorite tones on the new phone.
Was wondering the same thing. Thx
It should already exist. Nothing to create.

Some phones do, others don't have them and the tones are in system. That is a good point though, if the folder is already there you can use them in the same way.

Selecting Notification Tones (Solved)

I have an issue which I am sure there is a simple answer.
I have two devices, Note 9 and Tab S4. When I want to change an apps notification sound (eg ebay) on my Note 9, I tap the notification section in the app and it opens the Solid Explorer app. From there I can select the notification I need.
Following the same process on my Tab S4, Solid Explorer doesn't open, instead I get a list of notifications with no option to select other notification tones that are not listed. I get a similar behavior when selecting ringtones.
Is there a way make the Tab S4 behave like the Note 9? What determines the action when selecting notifications and ringtones.

Solution - clear the defaults in the Media Storage app then you will be presented with the option to use Media Storage or your File Manager to pick you tone.
