Problems with THIS website???

Hi there, I've been having a few problems navigating this web-site.
When I want to re-edit a wiki post that I added a couple of weeks ago, I get a 'Page not found' error when I hit the EDIT button, even though the page can be viewed.
Also, when searching for something, sometimes I also get the 'page not found'
Also, when searching, if I get a lot of results (more than a page worth), the first page displays all hits, then when I click page 2, 3.... etc. it says 'no matches to your criteria' or somthing like that.
HELP MEEEEE?!?? :shock:
Maybe this is the problem : Using IE 6.0.2900

The wiki error is a know one and has been reported but I for one have read nothing about it.
The site is under going an upgrade so the search problem could come from there.

Wiki probelm has been solved (well its thought it has), info out of the moderators section.

I've noticed that when there are tables in the Wiki, the fields are not all there? Is this post incomplete (there seem to be a lot of tables like this)?
In my browser, there are a lot of empty cells, and like 1 in 50 has some text in it.
Or did I happen upon another bug?

Where's the thread that includes the popular apps?

So I was browsing the "Post your homescreen" thread and noticed that almost none of them wrote which widgets/apps they were using to get their screen the way they have it. I remember awhile back somebody had made a post featuring most of these apps in a single thread, for those of us in my situation who have seen the widgets/apps and wondered what they were called. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find it again. I tried doing a quick basic search and had no luck. Does anyone remember this thread? Does it still exist? Do you have a link? Thanks.

Skype beta lacks...

I know it's just a beta release bound to have bugs, but when the 'send feedback' button doesn't work within the app, I have no idea how they want us to feedback.
So far I've found these things that don't work/ aren't included:
Camera orientation rotates 180 degrees in random calls.
The app doesn't run in background.
No tile, No toast, No notifications.
When we get incoming call - no screen wake only ring tone.
In order to chat or get messages you need to be within the app.
Cannot swap statuses.
Cannot see friends' status unless you open their chat card.

Man. it is necessary to post another thread about Skype?

Yeah just realised after viewing the whole thread about 'Skype is Live!!!' that it started off as a Skype is here thread and then it was all bug report anyways. Hence no point of this one. Should have searched really
Thought there wasn't any thread with what Skype experiences we had - the bad ones.
I'm going to drop an email to one of the mods to delete/close this one

These are the things that happen when MS is pressured and rushed to release Skype. I'll post this on the other thread too.

Unable to Reply/Post Threads or Messages

Hey guys,
For the past few days, Ive been getting issues whenever I try to post threads/messages or reply to them. I tried both Quick Reply & Advanced Reply same story. Further tested with changing the theme from XDA 2013 - 1024 to XDA Classic and also tried switching browser from Chrome to IE10 and still same issue Basically, when I click submit, the loading of page seems to progress forever till the error message comes saying Server sent no reply data Its been bugging me for days and its annoying as hell
2 Points to note :
I might have issue posting to a specific thread for hours but I can post in other threads quite easily. After a while, I will be able to post again to the thread which I previously had issues.
I dont think I've made any changes my side and after trying 2 different browsers as well as different themes, I think its a problem on the Server itself
Hope the Site Devs can fix this soon Thanks in Advance and Keep up the Good Work

His problem is different.. yours is because of 10 post count.. read rules.. you will understand.. now you have 11.. so you have ability to post in development section now..

You sure its same issue?
Because you don't have 10 posts.. so you don't have permission to post in development section threads.. if you got problems in that section.. then its common.. if you got problems while replying in other section then contact mods.. see link in above posts .. I think its just 10 post rule you missed..
Now that you have 10.. you can post anywhere..

Ps any update on my problem ? I posted this long ago in the Thread to notify Staff and absolutely no replies Just went ignored I know its not the staff's fault but if they could take alook at it when they get a chance, would be grateful

i think that problem is in the server and it is inevitable...because we so many users in here...

Hmmmm...this is strange. Apologies for no one having tried to help sooner. I'll see what we can do

Thanks for the albeit delayed feedback just in case it helps, I noticed that it depends in some way on the message content or the title. If I start a new page and retype (not copy paste) the same thing, it won't work sometimes changing the title helps and other times, the message itself... In the case of posts, if I can't post a certain message, copy pasting and then adding it via a quick edit works but if it doesn't, then same issue will show in normal reply.. I confirmed that its browser and platform independent and also, I didn't accidentally add any Unicode characters

I have't heard this error reported elsewhere, it sounds like a network issue possibly.
Have you tried on another connection?

I considered the possibility but I'm mostly at college and only one ISP here plus it's not exactly reproducible so I couldn't find out about that if it's a network issue, any idea why it occurs ? I only see this issue on xda,ie, I can read posts and all, make different replies etc but specific messages won't work ( at sometimes and work fine later) and same issue with browsing in iPad so can't see why or how I'm getting this error and it's been bugging me for ages popping up for so long. Again, hope you have any advice

No issue here.
Sometimes loading seems to take a while but the pages are loading correctly

I've seen in the past weeks that sometimes this forum taking long before it load, maybe due to lot of traffics from readers...
Hopefully some issues from other user will be fixed!

new functions (Quotations, mentions etc.)

I have 2 Questions about Quoteaions/Mentions and those new functions.
1st can you make it work that the notification disappears itself when you have read the concerning thread?
2nd is there a way to turn off mentions coming from oneself?
I often write things like @New Users, and I often use the @ sign as a shortenning for at + the following space, which often results in unwanted mentions, is there a way around that?

To prevent unwanted mentions from your side, grow habit of putting up a space in @ & the user. ie. @ New User / @ op etc.

Oh, I didn't know that. Today was the first time I tried it and it worked fine.
