[MOD] for Skyraider Zeus *statusbar enable transparency* - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Cooked this for Skyraiders Zeus preview: fixes the annoying ghosting icon effect that occurs when using custom sense skins that have transparent status bars like the revolution skin. Just enables transparency, doesn't make your status bar transparent unless skin has it.
*flash in recovery
*flashed over the free scrolling app drawer mod from bamf's site with success
*thanks to Ihtfp69 for a great rom!

I tried both in SR Zeus, and for some reason, the cell signal is not GB. Is there any way to fix that??
Plus, if you use this with Andy's transparent with green secondary text, they cancel each other out.

1 doesn't change anything but enable transparency, the other adds the GB icons but for some reason cell signal won't change. Tried 3 different sets of icons in UOT kitchen and same thing...? I don't mind it, the time is white as well so... Yes this will override And break a transparent notifications drop down, I might be able to use his modded framework files to cook another one with this..

I really thought it looked good, but I couldn't use them together.

Gingerbread statusbar.

Anyone know where I can find a gingerbread status bar with all green icons and percentage in the battery. The one I have now shows a white icon for WiFi and a solid battery icon.

Battery Icon Mod Question on ERA Simply AOSP EC05 Rom

I just flashed the ERA Simply AOSP Rom EC05. It has a "Simply Settings" app which you can change between 3 themes but I do not like the battery icons.
I installed Battery Icon Mod app but under Epic 4G it only lists DK28 and Experience Roms so I am guessing this is either outdated or I am using the app wrong but either way I figured I would double check here first.
So, on this rom is there an easy way to get a battery icon I like such as the circle with percentage in it?
Note: I am not looking to add a 2nd icon on the left of the status bar, I wish to replace the batery icon on the right.
Install a theme? Or edit the included themes. I am not going to teach you, but the files to edit for those themes are in system/saosp folder.

I believe maddoggins theme has the circle with percentage in it, doesn't it?

Revolution Remix theme has a nice circle batt icon. If you only want the icon changed, qbking77 has a youtube vid that'll show you how to flash only parts of a theme, if you don't know how to do so already. Pretty easy process.

[Q] change notification bar

hello
I have CM7
and I want to change the ugly black background in the notification bar, to something like sense or something...
there is an application to change it?
thanks for any help
Theme Chooser, download themes from the market or on here. Transparent themes won't work unless you patch cm7 first though.

Never heard of patching it. Could you tell me how to do that?
a sick status bar will just be the icing on the cake for my wildfire.
I have tried apps like custom status bar and status bar + but neither offer what i want.
I'm sure i found an app that let me set wallpapers as the texture for the bar, but i cant remember which app it was

Transparent Notification Bar

Hi Guys,
I'm running Deck's ICS Alpha 8 with Nova Prime on my Evo. Is there any way short of flashing a different ROM to make the notification bar's black background either transparent or not exist at all?
Thanks for any help.

You should be able to change the transparency value of statusbar_background.png in systemUI.apk. I've done it easily on many roms. ICS is a little different when it comes to the systemUI but it should still work. I can try for you if you want just send me the systemUI.apk if need be

Try a kanged ROM, they usually have features, like that...
If there is nothing else, that features that sort of mod, then download Jack Pham, he had that stuff built in, but he also distributes pirated software... :/
You could prob compile your own rom with it white. But welcome to screen burn in city. That's why Google changed it to black.
Thanks for the replays its just the icons to change I'll look into that jack pham you mentioned. As for compliling wouldn't know where to begin lol. Any dummies guides?

The icons are already white, you just have to reduce the transparency (available in AOKP)

Do you even know what kanged means? Slim is basically a kang of AOKP.
AFAIK there are NO roms that allow you to change the signal color, or the battery color, without a theme.
Hmm..shame I'm not looking to theme just the icons hopefully the kitchen will support ics soon

If you want the whole statusbar in white, you can try a few themes if you have AOKP or a rom with theme chooser support.
Syk Sky is a predominantly white theme for AOKP.
Frost is a paid theme in the market but I think it is the best white theme out there so far. It has a white statusbar with black icons if that suits your fancy.
Ghost is a combo AOKP flashable.zip + theme chooser theme for those that want something more complete.
Sorry, I was thinking the nav bar when i have my earlier response...
If you want to switch icons, i would recommend finding a battery circle mod and switching the icons out in the mod before flashing it - I use CirclesMod by Hooolm

They also changed it to black, because they wanted Android to look sleek, and modern ^^
