Hi all !!!
I've been looking for some time for a fake call location or something similar for windows mobile.
The aim is to be able to share a sound during a call, such as an .mp3, .amr... And beeing able to start the playing at the beggining of the call as well as during the call. It seems the app already existes for iphone but none for windows phone.
Could anyone help me get this kind of app.
Thanks
May the force be with you
Does anyone knows how to do such an app, or am i the only one seeing a use in it?
Hi again,
I'm thinking of adding more to this, such as a phone answering recorder. It would mute both mic and speacker, while giving a recorded message of your own to the caller and record his answer.
It could also be usefull to be able to start it during a call. If you want to say hi to someone but don't have the time to chat.
So basicly, the app would be able to:
-share a sound during a conversation or at the beggining
-start a phone recorder during or at the beggining of a conversation (muting mic and speaker while sharing a sound and recording)
Does anyone would have time to do such an app?
Thanks
eh?
Like when you start talking with somebody on the phone, they can maybe hear a train whistle, giving them the idea that you are near a railway station?
Or a car horn so that you can fool your girlfriend in to thinking that you are in the car when you are actually in bed with another girlfriend?
Yes, that's about the idea.
You could also use it some other ways. Like make listen the caller a vocal message you had recorded earlyer on your phone.
PS: i am not responsible for what you do with your girlfrind...
This is how i would see the design.
The Record msg button would play a pre-recorded message and record the answer from the caller and create a .arm file.
The Record call should record the call and create a .arm file.
The play sound should open a quick menu to choose a sound from a folder predefined (My Documents for exemple)
I hope someone is willing to do such an app.
Cheers

I have found an old app for WM2003 which does about what i need (playing a background sound during a call).
GotTaGo
Could anyone make something new on WM6.5 ?
Cheers
I have a problem with a message tone while listening music. In untouched stock ROM, when you listening through any media player, i can here the message tone in my headphone. I start using modified stock ROM, I experience while listening to music, when I receive a message, I hear the music in the speaker for a couple of second and then back the music sound in my headphone. So I need to switch to vibrate mode so that even if I receive a message, it will not switch to my speaker while playing music. I try any custom ROM here and same result. Its very annoying because I'm always commuting.
Anyone experience the same problem? How do I fix this? Please help.
Thank you very much...
Hello.. yes, they are.. in previous versions of roms, you can hear notifications from your headphone.
But lately every new ROM makes notification to be played at phone speaker.
It's not a prob.. it's Google's decision I believe.
Thanks for the response willypt. Anyone can confirm that? Any solution that can fix that?
Thank you once again
The recording would say " I am on the National Do Not Call Registry . Put me on your do not call list. " Over and Over until they hang up. Then if they call back I will have evidence to sue them. I heard the app PHONE MUSIC by The matrix could do but it wont work on the note 4. The closest I got was with the app Music Call Player. It will let me play music when on a call but only I can hear it. I want the caller to hear the message. Any ideas. Solve this problem and it could make you rich.
Any feedback would be appreciated

Hello guys,
Those of you who already have the phone, can you tell us how loud does the ringtone sounds? I'm more interested if both speakers are playing the ringtone when the phone rings and if the quality of the ringtone (given it comes from the same front speakers as the music playing) is on the same page as playing any other kind of music through the player.
Thanks in advance!
Loud, clear, aand out of both speakers!

Thanks so much! You made my day!
put it this way. your neighbour will probably hear it on max volume.
also, put alarm on half volume or yr entire house will wake up!
Even with audio in games i keep it half way, still louder and clearer then any other phone i've had.. Full blast is, well loud...
I as well as many other previous Nexus 6p owners have been noticing that ringtones / notifications only come out of the bottom speaker of the Pixel 2 XL. The irony of this is that any app besides the "Settings" app has all sound coming out of both speakers. Is there a program / workaround anyone knows of? I don't care if I have to root my phone; I want to use my dual front facing speakers!
Thanks,
~Mike
Too bad this apparently is not considered a bug, its just how its suposed to work. In my opinion its pretty dumb not to allow both speakers on incoming calls/notifications from Google.
I'm getting sounds out of both speakers when my phone rings. Not sure if this happened before I updated to 8.1, but I don't think so. Tested it with more than one ringtone, stock and custom. Now, my problem is the screen won't come on when the phone rings. I hope an update to the phone app fixes this soon.
Yes my also only the bottom one firing. Any solution?
Bumping this up, any solution?
Can someone please make a mod to enable dual speakers for ringtones?
Currently.. i am studying about sound mod on pixel 2 oreo 8.1.
My main objective is to fix the crackling issue.. btw.. i will look into this one too

I use a Tasker profile to get around this issue. Basically, I monitor the status of calls, and when the phone is ringing, I play my ringtone as media. Then as soon as the call is answered or ignored (offhook or idle), the exit task stops the media. I just set my actual ringtone in settings to "none". Other than that, it behaves exactly like a ringtone should. My task also matches the media volume to the ringtone volume while ringing, then restores the previous media volume setting. That way, if your phone is on vibrate, it won't still ring out loud. I can do a detailed write up on how I did it if anyone needs it.

That sounds like a great idea that I'd like to try. Can you please share that profile?
Like I said in other posts, sound does come out of both speakers with calls and notifications. When you're choosing a sound in settings, it does indeed only come out of the bottom speaker. I can't believe I'm the only one who has sounds coming out of both speakers when a call comes in. I've tested it with multiple sounds, too.

Confused with what you are saying. Are you saying that when you choose a ringtone in settings you no longer have it coming out of only the bottom speaker?

Yes. It only comes out of the bottom speaker when I'm picking the sound. When someone calls, I hear it from both speakers. I've tried this with both custom and system sounds.

I have attached my prj.xml I have literally never shared a Tasker project so I hope this is sufficient! If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks a lot! I've only used profiles and tasks in Tasker before, but your project imported just fine. All I had to do was change your task's ringtone to mine and set my phone's ringtone to none. Now to wait for someone to call me.

Yes it does and it's great! I figured out how to test it by calling my cell phone from Google Voice/Hangouts on my PC.

ccoulterjg1 - please provide detailed instructions on how to get tasker profile to resolve the issue of the ring volume using the ring speaker configuration instead of the media speaker configuration, which should resolve the issue, as media volume is quite loud and ring volume is not (I need to be able to hear my phone ring when I am sleeping, and on-call).
