If its one of the GPS driver zip's flash them in recovery wipe cache and dalvik cache .
Before you flash any mod for a ROM always wipe cache and dalvik cache first.

And also uninstall rom manager

I gave up on cm7. GPS never worked unless I did the sense switch but it was temporary. MIUI is better in that sense, no pun intended.
World peace with no regard for human life.
The zip file I got fix the GPS problem for cm7. Mimu doesnot have 4 g.

I installed my first rom (MIUI) yesterday and everything went well thanks to alot of reading. I like the way it look but i miss Sense. I did a backup before I flashed it so what is the steps to recover the back up with clockwork??

Go back into recovery > backups> restore > choose the one you want. The names of the backups are based on the date you made the nandroid

I won't hurt........I always wipe cache and dalvik cache. Your phone will take a few minutes longer to reboot.....that's about the only drawback.

Not necessary, but it wouldn't hurt anything. Calkulin's Format_All.zip wipes Cache, Userdata, Dalvik, System, and a few others that I'm forgetting. If I remember correctly, it's just a script that tells your recovery to wipe all those things. Like I said before, I like to use it if I'm ever changing ROM "brands" (ie going from MIUI to CM7, or From Myn's to CM7, etc.) because the systems are usually significantly different
i believe wiping before doing anything regardless its restoring or flashing a new rom is the way to go with Calkulin's format all and his clear temp. just in case it misses something. but thats just my opinion =)
Everytime I flash cm 7 I get to the screen where it says to touch the android to begin. Then it just keeps rebooting over and over. I then have to do a battery pull and restore back to cm6.
I have tried both RA and clockwork recovery. Did a full wipe everytime. Tried booting all of the versions of cm7. Any other ideas?

You have the right GApps? I've heard, if not, some have gotten boot loops.

http://goo-inside.me/gapps/latest/7/universal/ latest gapps
Do a full wipe: wipe factory/data, cache, dalvik.
Flash CM7 along with those gapps. You need to wipe the cache and dalvik before you flash the gapps; then reboot.
Not that I doubt the all knowing Roxxorz but is that usually suggested? Don't think I've ever wiped before flashing GApps in the same session .... ?

Did what Roxxorz said and worked perfect. Don't know if wiping between did anything since I did it at the same time as flashing with the new gapps. Thanks guys.

just flashed this rom and now when in roam i cant call out. any one with a fix?
Always first reboot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache 3 times each, then restart and see if that fixes it.

Also check your Roam settings too to make sure you dont have it blocked.

Noob question here im sorry. i just got the tmobile gs2. it was already rooted and had cwm, so i got home downloaded infamous excited to flash it. I went to cwm wiped everything flashed and got bootloops. did I do something wrong?
Did you use darkside superwipe before flashing?
And try darkside cache wipe after you flash the rom.
Please give steps on exactly what you did so we can pinpoint where the issue is. I have flashed this rom many times over and never been on a boot loop.

Exactly what I did was, put the rom on my internal sd boot to cwm, the I wiped data, cache and dalvik. Then flashed the rom. It said it was all good so I rebooted and got boot bootloops. It goes to the Samsung screen then shows the infamous boot screen and keeps looping those.

I always have this issue. Wiping everything in cwm solves it for me

Do a nandroid. Install darkside super wipe and darkside cache wipe. Install ur rom ,super wipe, flash rom, let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Reboot and darkside cache wipe. Should boot as supposed to.

I'm currently using exitenz rom but I also experienced it on stock jb. 96
Sent from my Xperia Slow LT26i
I had this as well but after installing a rom
Ways i fixed my problem
Replaced the apk with a stock one(semcmusic.apk) wiped dalvik and cache after replacing apk
Reinstalling rom wiping data and cache
Using a stock rom with my own mods
Im quite sure the apk is the cause of the issue

I've downloaded a lot of apps and games that has data so I don't like to wipe data and cache
Sent from my Xperia Slow LT26i
Back up and try reflashing and resetting for a day or two and then if you have this issue then you know its the SemcMusic.apk
Delete the apk
Reboot recovery
Wipe dalvik and cache
Copy a apk working or stock apk to your system or
To the flashable zip (use xplore from google play)
Reflash wipe dalvik and cache
And if the problem still is there then use a different rom and if still persists then you will have to do a data wipe
Try exploring
What ive told you here is ways i fixed my problem or ways i would fix
Someone else may be able to help you
