i ran the one click root and it got stuck on the samsung screen, then i ran odin and now its stuck on a black screen with a cell..!..pc sign when i try to turn it on. what now?
If the phone will boot in download recovery (holding 1 and power) just grab the stock pit and tar files. Then retry to root...read all the instructions first though

I returned my phone to stock and re-rooted. Once my phone rebooted i download ROM Manager and flashed CWM for the Epic Touch.
I then downloaded Quickboot to boot into recovery but it won't through the app or manually. What am i missing?
I have an SD card installed in the phone. Thanks.

Do you HAVE a recovery? If nothing is working, I sure hope you have ADB because that's all I can think of.
connect your phone to your PC
open the command prompt (anywhere is fine, you're not moving files)
run [adb devices]
check for your device. (make sure your phone has "USB Debugging" checked)
run [adb reboot recovery]
That WILL reboot the phone into recovery. If it doesn't, then my only guess will be to flash a recovery into your phone. You can actually try doing that now before ADB, if you want.

this has happened to me before....you are probably going to have to boot into download mode. Hopefully you have the samsung drivers loaded onto your pc. When you get odin booted up and it recognizes your device, click the .pdf button...that is the only button on odin you need to press!!!! When you are prompted for the file load the .tar file then click start....It may take 3-5 mins to finish it will reboot. You will now have to root again. Hope this helped.

Same problem here cannot wipe cache but I can install roms they just wont work properly I think its something with permissions....
Ok so here is how I fixed it. First I followed this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1513359 steps 1-8. Then I followed this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481141 steps 1-7. Then I downloaded superuser3.1 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698897 Installed that with recovery. Finally I re installed the rom that I was trying to install.
I know its a bit much but it should get you back up and running.

I believe it roots the phone superuser in general allows you to do administration tasks root access...
Tried to root the company S3, hard bricked it. I'm guessing I flashed the wrong files.
Phone turns on and shows Samsung for half a second then turns back off.
Can't enter recovery.
I've been looking around for instructions on how to fix this however I cannot find a definite answer. Any help is appreciated!

Volume Down + Home + Power?
Funny I tried it countless times before posting here and I try it again and I am able to enter. But I have no idea what to do now?
Things on my Nexus are a lot easier lol
You need to use Odin to flash the stock firmware back on there. I found this post that has the stock ROM files for Odin.

The problem with this is that when I try to reflash it waits for adb mode and stays stuck there. I think USB debugging is disabled and I have no way of going in and enabling it.

You need to first root your phone and get superuser in first before you do anything with clockwork mod. You can find out how to root by going to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1735561 or if you aren't using tmobile, just do a search on the forums

That's the video i followed.. in the beginning it says to go into download mode. i did that and put in the clockworkmod.tar
and then it says to put in the superuser.zip and i did that
but after i try to get incto recovery mode it goes into the android recovery mode so i cant flash the SU..

Yeah, after you odin that you should have rooted your phone. Then you can flash clockwork mod and flash it to go to recovery.
Hello, so today i was getting a play market error so i decided to flash another recovery, as mine is the earliest versions of TWRP, so i went ahead and flashed it with Odin. It was successful, but wouldn't boot into recovery. So i went ahead and tried to flash another recovery and now it says NAND write fail. Is it bricked ?
It still boots to 4.2.2 AOSP, but i have no root so can't flash recovery.
I AM OFFICIALLY SCREWED !
After getting out of download mode, it wouldnt boot anymore. Firmware upgrade issue. !
I would say buy a usb jig from eBay. Much faster and cheaper than anything else. It forces the phone to go to download mode and from then you can go to Odin and flash stock.

if you can get into d/l mode, you have it whipped.
Here's the TWRP 2.5.0.2 file:
https://hotfile.com/dl/230303459/7ce1553/openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.2-jfltexx.tar.html
Install with ODIN.
Steps to follow........
Method #1 -
Place file in PDA box*
Uncheck all other boxes.
Press start.
When installation is complete, unplug usb cord and pull the battery.
Insert the battery but Don't turn on the phone.
Place phone in Recovery mode via the Power + Volume up buttons.
Method #2 -
The other way I've read to install TWRP Recovery is:
Place the TWRP 2.5.0.2 tar in the PDA box*
Check the auto reboot box and f time reset box.
Start the installation and let the phone reboot.
I believe Method #2 is the method of choice, but sometimes the Recovery doesn't take, so Method #1is recommended.
Here is an explanation why:
