I may be biting off more than I can chew, but I would like to change the haptic feedback values on a sense rom similar to the way it is possible on cm7. Is this even possible?

I'm thinking you'd have to get into the scripts and change the value of the duration of the vibration. I couldn't tell you where to do it. My programming days are long over due.
Thanks I'm looking into it, but not getting very far quite yet.... I'll post something if I get my hands dirty enough.

well is it possible? because i cant feel my phones haptic feedback at all ;p so is there a way to increase it?
p.s. im using an otterbox case
If you are using CM6, you can adjust the haptic feedback in the CM settings (Settings->CyanogenMod settings->Input Settings->Haptic feedback tweaks). Not sure if you are on stock or other ROMs though.
Try the mother of all haptics.... Kickback.
good answer. Kickback is definitely the most extreme vibration feedback you'll get from your phone
Ive read that the One X tends to run a lot brighter for the equivalent setting on phones like the SII.
Is it possible to tune the brightness level that the Auto setting provides, and the external light at which it "ups" the brightness - as in my opinion, HTC's setting, although wonderful, is overkill in many situations, and screen on time needs all the help it can get.
Cheers.

if things aren't changed in ICS, you can decompile the /system/framework/framework-res.apk and then edit some xml's in it. Compile it again with the modified xml's and at last adb push it into the system partition. and this procedure requires a unlocked system partition.
if you don't want to unlock / don't know how to edit the stuff, the most feasible way is to put a brightness widget on homescreen and change it manually.

leedroid, insertcoin and a few of the other roms here have the option to lower the brightness in their tweak settings. If you search for it, j4n87 also created a flashable xml mod that lowers the brightness as well.
Cheers, I saw one on XDA for what I thought was the One S but it must be what youve just mentioned above I think.

Yes, we're on the same page although I don't understand italian . The mods I'm referring to all alter the baseline brightness as opposed to just the regular screen brightness based on ambient levels.
I'm running CM9 which allows you to edit baselines for screen and softkeys, but the roms and mods I referred you to do the same thing with less granular control. j4n87's mod is pretty dim but worked well for me until I switched to CM9. You could always crack open his zip and change the levels yourself before flashing.
Here is the link:

Yeh haha I don't speak Italian either just stumbled upon that on featured videos! Erm I knew CM9 had it working, can you point me in the direction of the best build? I need HDMI out but can live without Hotspot (which I believe is the only problem causer?). What's CM9 battery overall before these screen modifications?
I've tried about 6-7 of the roms here, they're all pretty much the same with varying levels of tweaks. I'm pretty sure that HDMI is working on the majority of them.
I love the hardware on this phone but not fond of Sense at all. Looking forward to more AOSP/AOKP based roms. The only available CM9 rom still has some bugs that need to be addressed (Phone, GPS, Camera - all working but with flaws) Battery life is excellent though I'm getting 4.5-5+ hours of screen on with heavy to moderate use using Faux123's kernel.
Is that the CM9 over at Modaco? Or is there an active one here?
That's great screen on time by the way.
Ideally I want one based on CM9 but with the sense Camera, that's all I can see thats worth keeping. Sense just isn't worth the performance hit IMO. It looks pretty cheap, especially with all the colourful busy icons...
Yes I'm using the build from modaco, jdroid is apparently working on a AOSP version and is beta testing. He said that they may release something this week.
How are you finding Screen on times for video playback/streaming by any chance?
Also, have you tried to see if the force dual core app helps?
Ill know myself tomorrow, the phone arrives...!
I need some tester to find bug (problem) with AOKP rom, right now everything seem to work as it should.
This is the last AOKP rom i compile for P930, overclock to 1728 mhz you can change voltage table with init.d script
You can change GPU freq. from system/init.d/10GPUoverclock file
You can use System Tuner app to change CPU freq. and Voltage in real time.
AwesomeBEATSv3 include in the rom
Add Crimson Cobalt theme.
aokp_p930_milestone-6-V2.zip
Plz clear data, cache, dalvik before installing and flash gapps after.
I'm currently backing up my setup on Full Throttle and flashing this; I'm glad to test. Your v6 Full Throttle is really stable by the way. It was initially giving me some force closes, but it seems to have settled in over the course of a few days. I've been meaning to try out AOKP and this looks like a great point to jump in, so I'll give feedback after I've played with this for a bit

Okay, so very first impression...this takes a long time on first boot. Don't get antsy, people lol.

Second impression...this rom is very smooth. I'm currently fattening 'er up with all my Titanium backups. We'll see how that goes lol. This is truly great, I really like all the customizations AOKP provides.
I'm about to install this rom.. Quick question.. When I install a new rom is it a bad idea to use TB to restore the 'system data'? Thanks!
EDIT: First impression- LOVE IT
Very smooth, no force closes or anything of that nature.

Yeah, I would not try to restore system data. The layout is almost certainly different enough to cause problems.
i can never let my buddies see this ROM boot-up or i will never hear the end of it.
running like a pissed-off pink unicorn.
You can disable the bootanimation in the Rom Settings. I think it's pretty easy to replace it in this rom, too, but I haven't gotten to that yet lol. I must say, this ROM feels just as stable as CM9.
The pink unicorn is the best next to the flying pop tart cat in gummy...lol

Can anyone report back comparing the smoothness of the UI compared to v6 full throttle. v6 is the smoothest rom I have used yet.
Dave,
HO!NO!,
it all worked very well on mine, no issues. I don't intend to run this one though, just figured i'd temp install it and see if can help with any issues but there were none.
Hm... Anyone know what the 'swqgger' toggle does?
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
swagger toggle is a gimmick/joke and has no functionality. i looked into it when i was running andasa's aokp build a few months ago.
This is going to sound really strange, but this is the best rom I've used in months. Finally, I am getting decent standby battery use again. My phone only used 6% battery overnight. The official CM9, Full Throttle, and ICS leak have been dying in less than 10 hours for me with like 2 hours of screen on time.

So there are no bugs as of now? I'm going to check it out tomorrow

The only major bug I've found is that the capacitive buttons don't light up for me. I might have something misconfigured, but if so, I can't figure out how to turn them on. I'm going to be sticking with this rom unless something better (newer version?) comes along before JellyBean

Check in settings>display>automatic backlight> tick use custom, then go to edit other levels and check the buttons section. If they're at zero, set them to 225 to restore buttons. You have to set ALL to 225.
Did you get it working on this rom? I did what you suggested and it didn't turn on the lights. I've always been able to get it working in CM9. I'm guessing it's possible HO!NO! missed some liblights patches from CM9 or something. I'd like them to work, but I'm really not too horribly concerned, I know where the buttons are by feel anyway.

Welp, I haven't got it working either.
nice rom, very fast. however usb connectivity isnt working for me..... is this happening to anyone else?
I know that CM doesn't really have a request thread, they don't monitor the development threads and I know of no way to request particular features to be added but I wanted to start a thread anyway of all the CM10.1 items I wish they would impliment when time is permitted.
This isn't a thread to discuss the known issues (obviously we all want A2DP to work) and this isn't a thread to discuss other apps that will do something we wish CM would do, it's a place to mention and talk about all the features we would like to see added/changed in CM.
Who knows maybe we will learn some things HAVE been added but we didn't see it.
So I'll start it off with 2 things I wish they would impliment.
1. Allow the user to enter in specific hex values for the LED notification colours. It's really hard getting some colours to look natural and the ability to use hex values would allow us to get better looking LED colours. I know Task's AOKP allows for this and I would love to see it added to CM.
2. More advanced quiet hours. I'd love to see the ability to set more than one quiet time for the day (say at work that uses vibe and LED notifications and overnight which would turn off all vibe, LED and only let phone calls come through). It would also be great if we could set each day of the weekend differently as I wouldn't have the same quiet hours as I would on lets say a Wednesday. The framework is already there, I'd love to see it expanded on.
So there are my 2 wishes. Does anyone else have a feature they would like to see CM impliment that would make your life easier? Is there anything in another ROM such as Task's that you wish was in CM?
Cheers.
I don't really get this. Not to be a stick in the mud, but is it really necessary to state things you wish a rom had?. Some people might agree with you, but is this thread really necessary?
I guess to contribute: I wish CM10.1 had the same circle battery icon as AOKP and vice versa.
For anyone concerned with Auto-Brightness and trying to save battery, I highly suggest Lux Dash.
Basically you tell it what brightness to give it under every lightning circumstance. It takes into affect time of day etc. The more you Link it and tell it what brightness to give it the more accurate it becomes to your exact liking. I've noticed a decent battery gain over the stock Option. As you can set it to only change after Wake, lock, Constantly, etc..
Here is an article about it to better get everyone to understand: http://lifehacker.com/lux-automatica...gets-934245674
I know many don't care about Auto-Brightness much, but neither did I until i tried this program.
