Recovering Images

Hey XDA! I need some help. I am trying to recover 3 Images that I really need. I backed up using clockworkmod backup, before I installed Darkside ICS. Is it possible to get those images from the nandroid backup?

What Happened to Blazer ROM Thread in Sprint SGSIII Dev Forum?

Just got done flashing Blazer ROM on my SGSIII and noticed that the entire thread is gone. What happened?
I would also like to know . Well at least my rom is still downloading
Nobody knows not even phantom

this is getting ridiculous. obviously a mod must have removed it. if you are going to remove a thread for some unknown reason AT LEAST post in the thread that its removed for whatever reason so a bunch of people aren't wondering where the hell it well.
that being said it seems to be working great.
if a thread is removed we minimally deserve a closed/locked notification in the thread
Yea I was about to post a topic about this. Wat the hell happened?? Im flashing the ROM right now.
Can someone pm me the rom or link me to there dropbox. I was downloading from my phone it failed . i am unable to download and flash smdh
An explanation would be nice
Yeah, I rooted tonight just bc of his ROM and then when I was done it was gone.
Can someone PM a link to dropbox for the ROM too? I really want this ROM :-\

So its safe to flash? Because right after I started the download the thread was gone. I thought something was wrong with the ROM.

Running it now. Pretty smooth and snappy. Will have to see how it goes. Benchmarks have not been to good, but that doesn't mean much. PH's roms have always been good.

I hope it gets reinstated -_-
Here is the link: http://goo.im/roms/PhantomHacker/Phantom_Blazer_LF9-SprintGS3_v1.0.zip
It is supposedly being viewed by a mod at the time, so it's just a waiting game I guess.
Well at least it wasn't taken down for ruining phones, I was concerned cuz I flashed it last nite and woke up to find it gone

CWM

Sorry for the noob question. I was wondering, if I rename my nandroid backups, will I still be able to restore them? When I had my Photon, I would get all the way to the end of restoring a Nandroid backup and it would fail. It did it for all my renamed backups. Just was wondering if it's the same for the GS3?

Don't leave any spaces in the file name and you should be fine.

Should be AFAIK, linux just tends to stumble on spaces in file names if you don't escape them. I always follow the name scheme of ROMX.DATE so for cm10 I have CM10.8.31.2012, hope that helps.

[Q] Online Nandroid Backup Without Rebooting

Came across this app the other day named Online Nandroid Backup. It basically allows you to create a Nandroid backup without having to reboot into recovery. Tried it out and did everything as advertised. Anyone have any experience with this app?
I have not. Looks interesting though.

Thanks bro, thats why I posted it so other flashaholics could check it out too.
This is a nice program in theory, but last time I tried it I couldn't restore the backup, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the program.
My question is what happens to the data once it enters the "cloud"? If there is data in the backup, it could be compromised methinks....

The back up is saved to your local storage, not a cloud. The "on-line" reference is to your phone being not in recovery...

So you try to hijack a someone's thread for an answer to a separate problem?
As for the OP, you need to be a bit more specific. What errors are you getting, what ROM exactly, what CWM are you using, etc.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I figured it out... seems that with AOSP there is hidden space that is taken up mysteriously. When I finally had enough room the Android backed up fine. Don't know why there is so much taken space not shown with aosp

I prolly shoulda thought more before i posted. But starting a whole new thread that no one would have responded to anyway would have been better?
And are problems are not that different.

Yes. Much better. Hijacking is against XDA rules. You also would have gotten a better response.
