...I boot into CWM just fine, I boot up just fine. Everything is working. Is this the same as an NS4G's "unlocked" icon?
it means you modded your phone.
to clear it you have to use a usb jig:

The triangle means you have flashed a custom rom, kernel or whatever. This wasn't on the sgs. It is new to the sgs2. Only way to get rid of it is to be stock, which you can't yet, or use a usb jig. Not aware of any other options at the moment.

Just plug it in with the phone off and turn the phone on. It will put you in download mode and erase the counter. Remove it and reboot and no more triangle.

As far as I can tell by examining the install script, this is not a permanent install.
Everytime you reboot, it will go back to the original CWM and you will have to run the install again to get this recovery.

You are right. It works perfectly. Does backups and installs but won't stick. How can we make it stick sfhub? By packing it into a stock kernel?

Yes, pack it into a stock kernel and flash/install the resulting kernel.
Curious, have you tried flashing the modem?

Since you can't fit ICS on BML and it autoconverts you to MTD the point is moot.

I'm not sure I understand. You can Odin back to stock of you partition to mtd. What does your girlfriend being on mtd have to do with the situation? As far as your phone not connecting to Odin that's the problem I had until I read about the Samsung cable being a pos. Have you tried an HTC or BlackBerry cable? Also try different usb ports. Odin is fussier than a teenage girl.

Interesting. It's worth a shot OP. Worst case, it fails and you uninstall. If it is successful, you can install mobile odin, then get the latest gb27 tar, and money. While you're at it, you will have to flash a cwm custom jb kernel, since you're on ics, and, MO won't flash modems, you'll need a jb modem to use data on gb27. Download the zip though of the modem . Good luck, let us know how it goes.
